Has anyone on Orange got line 2 working with their XDA II ?
I saw in another thread that on Globe, you can go into Sim Toolkit and select "my lines / switch line", but I can't find that in mine.
Please help if you can!
Thanks,
Jason
Answer from Orange
Orange say the m1000 doesn't support line 2, but the m2000 does, so maybe when the m2000 ROM becomes available it might finally work!

Hi all I have got an xda2
Does anybody know if theres software for line 2 on orange as I have line 2 and can't see which line is calling or can't switch between line 1 or 2
Is there some sofrtware I can buy or an update I can get.
Thanks in advance
Dave
i have the same problem, we either need to wait for orange to release the SPV1000 here in the UK, or get some nice Dutch person to send us the rom or extended rom

cant connect to internet, am i missing a setting that needs to be changed when using an orange sim (from my p900) instead of the o2 sim
Yes, you would need to make a new alternative connection prodile within the handset. I think the only setting required is the orange access point name which I THINK is orangeinternet
Im sure someone with an Orange contrat could clarify this
orange web access
Hi,
I have a T mobile mda (magician) unlocked running on Orange. The access point name is orangeinternet. Works fine for 2.5g! Looking forward to 3g soon.

I am just about to upgrade to an M3100 but currently have and use Orange Line 2. There does not appear to be a clear answer from Orange if the M3100 can support Line 2 presently or in the future? I know there have been some work arounds for some other models but does anyone actually have line 2 working?
Thanks in advance.
Line 2 is an orange feature So I presume it would, but Orange themselves should be able to answer that question.
Give em a bell and let us know what they say.
Not at the moment, I'm afraid... HTC say the device supports it, but no-one has managed to get it working. There's a reward been posted on Modaco for anyone coming up with a working solution:
http://www.modaco.com/index.php?s=157ae786233e201b03a0ddede0b3b25e&showtopic=244000
my mate has just terminated his line 2 because of this phone!
he said the m3100 would default to his line 2 only, unlike all other orange htc which default to line 1. so it was a case of ditch the line 2 or ditch the m3100. he chose to keep the m3100
Has a fix been released so that the phone works with Line 1 and Line 2 properly?
At the moment all calls go via line 2 with no visible way to switch & calls can only be made to the line 1 number.
Hi all
Just wanted to know if anyone has got this phone through the 3 UK network.
I know there would be a few people interested (including myself) if someone could upload the 3 ext ROM to the ftp.
Thanks
S.K.
hey
I'm almost certain that 3 never did the Universal in the UK.
Therefore no 3 ROM.
But you can go on any network with any ROM (e.g. I use Orange's Radio ROM with O2's main ROM on O2-UK.)
3 do the Qtek version. I dont know if it is branded 3 though - go and look in your local 3 shop and report back!
Three UK has released a qtek9000
So the answer is yes the rom must be about I for one would love to get a hold of the rom, as I am actually a 3 Network user and prefer my old O2 XDA EXEC so come on, lets find it!
3 definately have it in the Uk.
Link here http://www.three.co.uk/personal/han...omp?subleft=1&header=PAYMON&cid=1151677768856
It is branded as the qtek 9000 but i'm hoping that they have a 3 customised extended rom. Would like to have a look and hopefully port some of those cabs onto my unlocked TyTN that i'm using on 3.
Regards

So no one has one then
What are you hoping to achieve from this rom? The 3 content which you normally get by pressing the triangle button on 3 phones?
Already managed to get access using opera browser or by changing user agent on IE.
Just wanted to get my hands on a 3 uk ext. ROM to see what's in it, and perhaps use it on my TyTN that i'm using on 3.
S.K.
Love to get the three content
I am still looking for the rom for the 3 network, as yes I do like the planet 3 triangle software addition) I am still running my XDA EXEC on an O2 sim, it is unlocked and would cope with the 3 sim, however without the goodies of a three network phone I wouldnot get the benefits of the network, So come on... can anybody provide the rom for 3?????
3 rom
If anyone could get hold of a 3 rom - or just the cabs that would be brilliant.
3 UK ROM???

Will appreciate advice.

I have an custom rom universal, but also have the default stock "3" rom on my kaiser, haven't changed it yet, is there an application that will download the rom from the device?

2. Windows Mobile 6.0 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=314675
With no problems flashed brand new UK O2 XDA Orbit (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=314866 - Windows Mobile 5.0 ROM in memory card, just in case).
Even easier than XDA Mini S. Beautifull. Now 4 hours configuring . Love it.
Thanks guys. Keep the good work !
thanks step0011 man!!, my super hero!!
I spent more than 3 weeks to find this ROM
It's kinda funny that it just leaked accidentally by the repairing service.
I'll try it tonight if it's work with the O2 company one not the T-Mobile.
thanks again!!
ps. I don't know it's gonna work with T-Mobile only or both O2 and T-Mobile.
i have the xda orbit on o2, i just use t-mobile sim because they offer unlimited GPRS
I tried and it works perfectly as it used to.
anyway, got a bunch of thanks to step0011, you are goddess!!
Just a couple of words to say congratulations on finding this elusive rom...
...and a big thank-you for sharing it!!!

orbit on t-mobile
Hey step0011.
I have a quick question - OT.
I also have an orbit with t-mobile (unlimited gprs) but cannot get the voicemail to work as the orbit will drop the 0 on the voicemail number (+440627843******). Any ideas on how to overcome this? I tried dropping the +44 but i still get a message from t-mobile that i've dialled the wrong number.
Thanks
ben
You drop the +44 and insert a 0 (zero) in its place.
lol good question i usually just dial 222... i'll get back to you on that soon

hehe cracked it... rite... in the infinate wisdome of microsoft (being smart arses) have taken it opon themselves to automatically drop the 0 after +44 so just put 2 0's instead of 1 e.g +4400737*******
