Hi all I have got an xda2
Does anybody know if theres software for line 2 on orange as I have line 2 and can't see which line is calling or can't switch between line 1 or 2
Is there some sofrtware I can buy or an update I can get.
Thanks in advance
Dave
i have the same problem, we either need to wait for orange to release the SPV1000 here in the UK, or get some nice Dutch person to send us the rom or extended rom
John
I just received my new I-Mate K-Jam (soon to be the SPV M600 I believe) and was dissapointed to find that it does not support Orange Line 2. I spoke to Orange who informed me that it is not the only device with this issue as the SPV M5000 (Universal) also does not support Line 2.
I have been using SmartPhone devices until now and I can confirm that line 2 works great with these.
I am not familiar with the any previous phone edition Pocket PC versions , so perhaps you could let me know if this has this always been an issue, and if so, if it is due to be resolved in the near future.
FYI: when a call comes through on line 2, the number (and name if in the contacts database) is displayed on the screen as with any other call, but with an incoming line 2 call no ringing or vibration is apparent. If the caller leaves a message, then the right hand side of the spool fills to tell you that you have a message on line 2 as per usual; however, you are unable to access the message as you cannot change from line 1 to line 2 and cannot therefore make any calls on line 2.
Please help!!
Does anyone have any experience of using the Line 2 feature on Orange?
I am considering going for it, but want to make sure that it works on PPC!
The reason I ask is I came across this article:
http://www.expansys.com/forumthread.asp?code=125518&thread=29
Line 2 does not work in WM5 PPC. It does on some WM5 SmartPhones (SP) but not the pocket PCs of which the Wizard is one.
If Line 2 is important to you, get another device.
hi, my provider (orange uk ) supports line 2 ,does anyone know of a way that I can get my device to work with line 2 please?
thanks
no, there is no way to use line 2 on the pocket PC phones, only on the smartphones m600 etc.
BMF

You're using a dual SIM adaptor. The poster is asking whether the service provided by some operators; whereby you can have two distinct numbers on ONE SIM, will work. The answer appears to be 'no' on PPC devices.
Excuse me if i misunderstood... you mean that there can be no call waiting/ call on hold on PPC phones?

Not that I know of. Anyone else?
Call waiting has nothing to do with 2nd line. Call waiting is an operator service thatt allows you to keep a call on hold/wait while you talk with someone else. IT WORKS on Trinity if your operator has it.
2nd line means that with one SIM you can be reached on two different phone numbers without having two phones and without restarting your phone to switch sims. You can make/receive calls on any of the 2 numbers.
Ok, sorry for the confusion
I know this post is a bit old but the answer is certainly no to having Line 2 on the SPV "M" series (or eqivalent - operator model) seems only the "s", "c" or the newer "e" series of orange branded SPV that support that function.
Hi guys.
Can you tell me if HD2 has Line 1 and Line 2 function
Only old school Orange UK users will know what I mean.
HTC Touch HD did... till the stock rom/radio was changed...now it doesn't "rom flash sorts it though"
So.. Can anyone tell me.. Are you using a HD2 with a Orange line1/line2 config?
Thanks all
Singh
Im using a Hypercard that gives me two lines:
http://www.2-phones-in-1.com/conten...any-mobile-phone-online-simswitch-and-full-gs
But the line switching is facilitated by the card itself not the handset.
As far as i was aware this is always the case even with the old orange multi line sims.
there has been a few posts about people asking why they have an icon that indicates line 1 or 2 so im presuming it works fine mate
