Ntl Inbox - Networking

I am a new XDAII user, I am having problems getting emails from my Ntlworld POP3 accoun onto my XDA. The XDA will send emails fine and appears to open the inbox ok, I don't get any error message, but the box always remains empty.
Is this a problem with Ntl (I have heard that with AOL you need to download some softeware). I asked in the O2 shop, but they were not a lot of help!

Problem sending documents via email

When I try to send a document by email I find that the message is sent to the sms outbox and NOT the email outbox. I have tried to move the message but this does not appear to be allowed. I have tried to find a setting that controls how messages are dealt with but have had no success.
I should be grateful if someone could help me overcome this problem.
Please note that I do not send emails via an account set up on my xda 11. I send emails via outlook when I synchronize.
Thanks

Have you gone to inbox and clicked "services" if you have set up your email it should appear there, if it appear then click so a dot appears next to it, if not then you need click "new service" and set up an email account with your pop3 etc.
Thanks for your advice, which would be fine if I sent emails from my PDA via a pop3 account, but I don't.
I send emails via Outlook which I connect to when I ActiveSync - and before anyone asks this is because I use my PDA for work and I am not allowed to log on to our exchange server other than through our network.
Consequently I do not have a pop3 account to connect to.
Does anyone have an idea how I can force the xda to send documents via the ActiveSync outbox rather than sms?

Sending Email

Hi
am running a charmer with WM5 (obviously).
I have set up pop3 accounts with both yahoo and tiscali and have been using these successfully, if minimally for a while. Recently I have not been able to use my PC and have been hoping to use my device to send and receive email. This has not been the case. For the past week the device will receive full emails from both yahoo and tiscali. When I try to send email via the yahoo account I get a message telling me that my device can't download email and to check my connection and settings and try again. My connection and settings are fine. I have not tried with the tiscali account as yet as I don't really use it anyway.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on?
The link bellow will take you to a Modaco forum thread that I think is discussing the same thing.

Receiving emails but not able to send

Hi, I have managed to get my SPV3100 to sycn with my exchange server. I am able to receive my emails in my inbox (and other folders). I am unable to send any emails. The ones to corporate email Id(s) are getting rejected as spam. Tried to send one to myself at gmail and that didn't arrive either. I can see my email in the sent folder when I use Outlook web access but always get failure (from messagelabs). When I send to the same address from web outlook, it works. Even reply doesn't work from the PDA. Can anyone help please...Thanks

Probably obvious, but I can't send email

Hi all,
There is probably something stupid I'm doing but I can't send email from my TyTN.
I have a sky email account with my broadband. The outlook settings are pop.sky.com, smtp.sky.com, server requires authentication has to be ticked.
I can receive email on the pda but when i try to send it says: messages cannot be downloaded to your mobile device.
Yet I get new messages downloaded ok.
Please, any ideas?

Yahoo Outgoing mail Connection Error

Hopefully someone can help. Using yahoo mail on my X10 and up to about a few days ago all good. Still able to receive mail no problem but just realised I have an outbox full of unsent messages due to the X10 suffering 'connection errors' when trying to send mail.
Am able to access internet and everything seems good but just cant send any emails? Tried setting up a new account for the same account but had exactly the same problem.
Can anyone help at all?
