Hi.. i have a file here a game for Nokia Ngage.. is any here exist an emulator for ngage game? for XDA II? like the MIDlet Manager for Nokia games... Thanx
i've never seen one and i guess it would be hard since java games are pretty simple interpetated games and n-gade use an arm cpu like xda2 and the games are made nativ for it
and it could have some other chips aswell for graphics and sound i'm not sure about that
most of the time you need a much faster system to emulate another
and i'm pretty sure that n-gage have a 100Mhz arm
You'd really just need something to emulate sybianOS on PPC as ngage is the same as all nokia's new phones. They're all based on similar hardware but the games are driven by the OS. Anyone know of a symbianOS emulator then?
Not at the moment, but if there were, it would definitely bring the big bad lawyer-people out of their caves...
ahhh... hope that day will come..
So...
Any news?
Lol, are you serious? N-Gage games are so low-res and crap graphics that they will probably come out the size of a keyhole on a QVGA PPC. VGA doesn't even bear thinking...
Bump to this topic.
...and yes, most n-gage games are far better than some games made for Windows Mobile:

Also, not sure this helps, found a emu that runs other OS's:
http://www.nongnu.org/qemu/about.html
That was already ported to PPC (translated from Russian):

Could this be configured to run Symbian games?

1) VOX
2) More interested in the Homescreen. I've seen the touch interface used on non touch devices so why not just the opposite (It's a plug-in dlls, xmls, graphics, etc.).
Think outside the VOX! Couldn't resist!
let's wait for the WM6 upgrade.
I tried to use Imgfs tools to dump this and I couldn't... any pointers here?
I have dumped the rom now I'm trying to separate the apps
any luck with the extraction?
Any luck with this?
We waiting!
We waiting, my friend
Any screenshots of the interface?

I have a friend with the shadow, i love the interface, will be nice if we can port it to touchscreen devices,
i dont know much of how the whole stuff works so i cant really contribute in any other way but in inspiration
Is mismatch with Excalibur (HTC S620) with WM 6.1 ?

It has been asked here and there over this forum, but this is the main area, so its better to ask here...
Any way we can get the rom to extract a cab or something? I dont think its hardware dependent, so it should work on our machines...
Anybody...?
PS: I think the iphone came and slap M$ and all the ppc makers right on the face with its 200mhz machines since 2003 and 64/128 low ram micro upgrades...
Now these great plugins start showing up here and there and machines suddently have 4 gb of rom, finally some long-awaited REAL upgrades!
I wonder if the rotation animations can be ported i mean even though you may not have a accelerometer it my still hide the usual lag.
Actually I was refering only to the gadgets...
The diamond album was easily re-used by other htc's, but you couldnt turn the images because you had no accelarometer, it worked fine without anyway...

Hi,
I have made a new game using BASIC4PPC.
Its called Nightmare Park and its based on an original game on the Commodore PET by Bob Chappell in 1980! Its as addictive today as it was back then!
Its free to download and play on your PDA.

Visit my main website www.therealeasterbunny.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk for other stuff including a Scott Adams Adventure Engine and games for your Windows Mobile.
I have tried to find Bob Chappell but as yet to no avail. Bob, if you read this, please get in touch!
cOh my god! I actually have this game (on cassette tape, high tech) and remember playing it on my PET! But one thing, if you're the real easter bunny, then who the hell came to my house and put eggs in my yard!? Thanks, DLing now.
Dave
(One more thing, don't mean to threadjack, but does anybody know of a Colossal Cave Adventure port for Pocket PC? thanks in advance)
LOLs. Thanks Dave, let me know how it goes please ... I think I've got all the bugs out now
You may need to read the docs for navigation of the player character on the "mini games" or tasks when venturing through the park.
Have fun!
Steve.
I haven't found any bugs so far, seems quite stable actually.
Dave
Hey everyone,
I just recently came up with the idea to create some sort of 'Wine' for Android devices running on the ARM architecture. Fortunately, Windows Mobile has been designed for the ARM architecture aswell, so in theory it's possible to implement the WinApi ourselves.
I am not sure if it's worth the effort, is there any WinMob Software that would be sweet to have on Android? I'll probably do this anyway, just for educational purposes, but I figured if you guys have interest in this in general, I'd make the code public aswell and continue to work on it until it reaches a final state.
DO IT!! GARMIN XT FOR ONE, sorry, yeah that would be awesome Im sure there are others too, but off the top of my head it would be awesome to have garmin since they are being a$$ holes about an app for android...
2nd best thing to actually running WM on Android (Which is highly unlikely) But yeah Do it! It'd be great
Android applications already run in virtual machines. You want to run a virtual machine inside a virtual machine?

Gonna have a hard time with that.
It's amazing that windows mobile will run on such varied hardware. I even remember the older versions running on a 200 mHz processor with 64 megs of ram.
It would be neat to see from a technology standpoint and probably but useless from an app standpoint.
Windows CE programs are diffrently compiled for ARM, and that is true, but even if WINE ran on it, I dout that it will work, but if I am wrong, have at it.

Just sore this and could be good news for Xperia Play as the only Optimized games that are still coming thick and fast are PlayStation Mobile titles.
http://www.prnewswire.com/news-rele...tionvita-and-playstationmobile-199444581.html
Due to the fact developers are finding it hard to build 3D games on the PSM SDK, we have been hit by loads of rubish 2D retro looking indy games. But this could all change with Unity teaming up with Sony as great looking games like Shadowgun, Dead Trigger, Ravensword could be made for PSM with the Unity 3D input.
check this part -
Unity for PlayStation® also allows Unity developers to create games for PSM more efficiently without the need for an additional PlayStation®Mobile SDK.*1 Both Unity for PlayStation® and PSM SDK use the .NET framework allowing for easy transition between the two tools. In addition, Unity developers can easily port their games created for iPhone, iPad, and Android™ based smartphones and tablets to launch on PSM, removing the need for extensive re-coding.

Ans now just a xperia play 2 and we are ready to go
Great news!
The Unity Engine will also be optimized for Quallcom SoCs. Lets hope that this not only means GLES 3.0 integration and multiprocessor optimization but also things like texture compression format optimization for our Adreno 205 source:http://www.engadget.com/2013/03/26/unity-to-bring-qualcomm-optimization/
