We need new skins for phone

Well my dialer looks like this

I think that looks bad and I'd rather have somethig that looks like one of the pics in the thread below

I've installed the files from that thread but they don't seem to make a difference to the "Phone" application.

That's my experience too, the phone skin seems to be stuck. I've got the standard QTEK phone skin, which looks okay, but the buttons are the wrong shape which you can see when you press them and see the real button behind.

Did you try to install the IntelliDialer from a QTEK extended ROM ? It might solve the button problem.

kewl link....was able to insall the phone skins but could'nt install skins for windows media player the format uploaded there is .msk any idea how to install these skins over windows media player....

The dialler skins are easy to use. You need to install a psk file installer to your device and then choose the skin you want to use.
The media player msk files need a different program to be installed, I can't remember the name and the company is offline at the moment.
Meanwhile, feel welcome to grab some more phone skins from my site. Bear in mind, these do not work in landscape mode.

How-to change "Wireless"-item in Todayscreen

I have the new "Wireless"-item switched on, as I actually like it. But
my own today-screen background is quite "white" and the Blueetooth sign is almost invisible now :

Does anybody have a clue if the color of the bluetooth sign can be changed. Or is it available somewhere as a file, so I can change it for myself ?
Edited : I found a file "bluetooth.bmp" in the windows directory, which might be the one used, but it is a two color bitmap, so even if I could change it, I would still see nothing on a white background.
Anybody any clue ?

Hello, is it possible for us to find this Wireless today screen plugin? From what I see it is part of tthe ROM you installed, could we find it as a cab file perhaps and install it in Qtek ROMS?

I know the following :
-it was not available in older ROM's (it is in the latest iMate ROM f.e.)
-it is not installed by the ExtRom, as I do not have it installed at all
-it can be disabled by ExtRom, as some other threads here have explained
In those threads the reg-hacks are told to place it back on the TodayScreen. But I guess it is not so easy to give You a .cab
After I saw what Member (ey99070) was able to do with the Date, by disconnecting it, and making a new one called TodayTime, saving space, I guess somebody will come with a new one here as well, showing in less space the status of the WiFi, the Bluetooth and maybe even something else.
Sorry for not being able to provide a .cab. Maybe somebody else has better information and can help You out.

HP's Today Plug In

HP has a today plug in that I really would like on my phone. Has anyone been able to remove it and create a .cab so it could be used on other phones?

Try this
A registry key may be missing (doesn't show the backlight level)
But it works well on my prophet!
EDIT: see www.rhinocode.com for full updated version... The backlight issue is due to the lack of ipaqutil.dll, which seem to be device specific...

Thanks! The Backlight level is one of the things I wanted most but I can always just assign it to a softkey.

I tried installing the CAB for the Flick Menu from Verzio Envii (an O2 XDA Atom Life variant) on my Tmobile Wing but i can't get it to run. It installs but it won't launch, nothing happens when i tap /launch it...i guess there is a restriction where it would prompt to run or not when launched on a non Verzio Envii device, tried ResHack but i can't see anything related to it, I'm not into programming so thats so far what i can only do. I hope someone would hack this CAB file to run on any device or at least on an HTC.
Btw, the Flick Dynamic Menu runs like the finger friendly Task Manager from X1 Xperia where it would show the snapshot of any running tasks, probably would be the best task manager if hacked to run on any device!

Wont work for me either (Touch Dual), however on the today screen something flickers and shows all sorts of colors jabbered through each other really short (couldn't take a screenshot, that short) and it does change the left softkey (which naturally won't work). I'd love to dig into this but I'm kind of not knowing what to do, so I'll open the .exe in a hex editor and see

When I changed in reg valve "ShowTitleBarClock" to 1 and add new "TBOpt"=0 I have effect form "clock2.png" (clock was disappear but...)
I saw builds 6.5.5 wich this problem was resolved. But how? (for ex. KaiserTouch)

I didnt solve it in my 6.5.5 roms.......check better the 3rd pic,can you see the "Start" word in the left corner?That is a WM 6.5 Build.

Yaaa:/ you have clock to. But I install your rom 23569 and I see your dialer is ok... I have problem with all dialers witch I used, I have scroll-bar or dialer totally is mess up. Can You hive me link to your Dialer or you say my haw fix it?
And if you remember where is reg key to turn off Quick Task Manager, I please to.

I attached the PhoneCanvas used in my roms.
I dont remember about QuickMenu because id left it from my kitchen long time ago,anyway check your app.dat in your dump folder for a link to Startup.

Thanks. Your dialer in Landspace is mess up, I found other and with 3G Philux-X af974 3G Phone Canvas. But Smart Dialing is not work properly and moving up any time when starting chose a numer
