I think that looks bad and I'd rather have somethig that looks like one of the pics in the thread below
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=13515
I've installed the files from that thread but they don't seem to make a difference to the "Phone" application.

That's my experience too, the phone skin seems to be stuck. I've got the standard QTEK phone skin, which looks okay, but the buttons are the wrong shape which you can see when you press them and see the real button behind.

Did you try to install the IntelliDialer from a QTEK extended ROM ? It might solve the button problem.

kewl link....was able to insall the phone skins but could'nt install skins for windows media player the format uploaded there is .msk any idea how to install these skins over windows media player....
thanks
regards
jeetz

The dialler skins are easy to use. You need to install a psk file installer to your device and then choose the skin you want to use.
The media player msk files need a different program to be installed, I can't remember the name and the company is offline at the moment.
Meanwhile, feel welcome to grab some more phone skins from my site. Bear in mind, these do not work in landscape mode.
Cheers

ugghhhh anyone else who know how to install .msk ???

please post the equalizer

Hi, I'm A wizard user and I just found out that the Atom has a build in Equalizer for WMP.
Can somebody please place a copy of this add-on so I can have better sound out of my wizard?
Thanx
take it
thanks, unfortunatly it won't work.
But it was a nice try
Am I missing some files?
Maybe another dll, or a registry setting?
And is it in the extended ROM?
no. in main rom /windows
give the names of the files, that you need.
I cant send the full dump of windows.
aage: remember, the equaliser, and in fact most of the media hardware in the Atom, is very different to the HTC stuff. I've tried it on a few different devices (not just HTC) and it doesn't work.

Thanks Vijay 555,
I think it is impossible than.
Do you know about an equaliser add-on for WMP.
And do you know if its possible to get an Analoge clock on the screen, like on you website?
Don't know about the equalizer. Depending on your hardware, there are reg hacks for treble/bass, and also the IPAQ audio control panel works apparently. I've never tried it.
The analog clock - one week soonish, I'll release it as a plugin. I'm working on a couple of other new plugins, but I'm just playing too much Call of Duty, frankly...
I think SPB and some others also give an analog clock. Try Today+, a horribly (in both senses) good Today screen replacement.

I want it to look just like the WM5 phone pad skin...just black.
Try this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=295951 WM6 but it might give you an idea.

I used to like the Jim98y dialer also except that it scrunches the numbers when inputing and my users (and myself) noticed that it wouldn't show DTMF (such as dialing an extension).
I switched back to the PaulyA skins at http://www.paulya.com/dialerskins.htm
I personally like the Grey in the Black Glass with out smartdialer series. (I dispise the WM6 smartdialer so I use the Grey with the old smartskey.ini so I can get to my Contacts, history and Speed Dial with the D-Pad, but that's me)
thanks guys! Ya I found paulya website yesterday. they are very very nice phone pad skins. I'm using the vista black one. I'd still like to find a black version of the WM5 default one. call me stupid lol. i just want to see how it looks in my skin. i think the vista one looks too good to go with my skin.
I think you will like this.

Help with SPB Mobile Skin please?

Finding it hard getting effective instructions how to change skins on SPB Mobile Shell 2.1
I've downloaded files and been instructed "to replace files in the SPB folder on the device and then perform hard reset"
This has the effect of producing a kind of hybrid between the default and what I'm trying to install.
I presume this is because some files are left over from the previous skin.
If anybody knows of any good tutorials or can help I'd appreciate it. I know I might get bombarded with "use the search" and such like but I've spent what seems like most of my life since I got my Touch Diamond on this forum.
I really need to stay away.....customising this machine is addictive.
Try this one and let me know.

Thanks for the reply but no good unfortunately. Generally buggy, skins installed result in overlaps (clock over calendar, calendar under sms/mms etc)
Poor quality icons, no preview of what you are selecting in the numerous customisation options.Bit of a mess really.
I can't help you with a tutorial, but I know there is a dedicated thread in the "General" section of this forum. Also, the SPB Cub forum has very much covered about this topic.
You just import the .dat into the SPB Mobile Shell directory, and that's all you have to do. Also, make sure the theme is for VGA device and not QVGA device, that would cause your theme to overlap and all kind of mess.
Here's mine screen and everything look just fine.

Wmp Skin Black Vga

I recolored the skin posted here white manilla by blockbusterF http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=455813
Unzip and copy file to program files/windows media and drop the folder in
Then open windows media player and play a song doesnt matter wich one pause it and then hit menu then options then skins It takes a minute to load all your skins then hit next or previous till you see the skin once you see it hit ok and your done
If you have landscape and it dont show just open the media player in landscape and choose the skin while its in landscape

Skin file attached. To install just unzip the files and replace the jif files under the AppletRibbon/Battery folder.
Is this VGA only ? Installing it on the HTC touch seems to be a little messed up. Could you please the QVGA version as well.
Thanks a bunch

Apparently Bell UI applets don't work.
Would love a light (keyword= light, i.e. not a RAM eater) music applet. This is, imo, one of the things most lacking at the moment. I really don't know why PUI didn't release this. Maybe in the paid version? If a light version isn't possible, then heavy it is .
