I have the XDA II and the latest ROM 1.7xxx. Does anyone know if the faxing software that comes with it can be used with Tmobile in the US

Since its a T-Mobile I'd go with ROM 4.00.16.

If you mean the AT&T upgrade for SX-56, then it's A30.09 ... it's so good except that it has a very silly sound issue with no fix till now.
Well I was one of the lucky ones who got the 2003 upgrade and to the best of my knowledge its fine. Nothing wrong with it. I wish I had kept the darn file though.. if I knew they were going to take it offline I would have kept it, but I had no idea that would happen. The upgrades are pretty specific to each locked phone.
I tried upgrades from Siemens and ATT, but they were smart enough to know my phone wasn't one of theirs. I guess if you unlock a T-Moble phone, you could run the other upgrades. However I don't know if that would be a problem with T-Mobile cellular service.
It has been a while since I have read the boards and so I am having a problem finding any information on whether or not I can purchase a MDA II and use it with my T-Mobile service in the USA. I currently have the older version of the T-Mobile Pocket PC phone and would like to upgrade to a new phone. Can anyone help me with my question about the MDA II in the USA or is there another PocketPC phone you would recommend?
I think the MDA II/XDA II only works on 900MHz which is used on European networks. I'm not sure if it works in America or if it works well in America.
Actually, T-Mobile USA does 900MHz don't they?
T-mobile in the USA use 1900.
As far as I know the MDA II is triband so it will work with T-Mobile USA

Any phone that uses 1900MHz will be fine for you then.
I have an O2 Xda II bought in Singapore last Summer and I use it in NY on T-Mobile. It works great.
I have just upgraded my ROM using the latest UK patch 1.72.187 (radio 1.17.00) and it works fine.
New to this site and I have a Canadian Rogers HTC Touch elf Rom version 2.21.631.1 wwe dated 10/05/07 I am tired of the fact that all the other cell companies in Canada are offering the upgrade to 6.1. I have contacted Rogers and they said nothing was tested for their network yet and didn't even know if was going to be offered. I have recently notice that Sprint in US is offering the upgrade and their work on gsm same as rogers. Has anyone tested the rom on a Rogers phone and does it work. I am getting frustrated. I am not skilled enough or too nervous to experiment with cooked roms. I need all my current features but want the 6.1

share the link you are using to download, the rom, and so that we can help you get the rom. BTW I have a shadow 2 form tmobile (with wifi calling)
Its not that great. Take a chance and install a custom rom like Erofich's. The speed on it is incredible, the stability looks like its all there too.
Trust me once you go 6.1 Windows Mobile.. theres no going back.
