problems connecting via gprs on xda mini s

Hi,
I CAN connect my xda mini s using wi-fi at home, but whilst out & about i CANNOT connect to the web using GPRS. I have checked the setting in this forum & else where on the net, including o2's site, but still i cannot connect using GPRS. I am on o2 PAYG & i have read in places on the net that you can only connect to full internet access, using 'mobileweb' if you are on an o2 contract but with my last phone (nokia N80) i had no problems connecting via wi-fi at home & GPRS while i was out. I could even send & receive emails etc on my nokia n80 but for some reason on my xda mini s, it wont let me connect to the net using GPRS. Does anybody have any idea's what i could do to try & sort this problem out, as i need to be able to connect to the net whilst at home (wi-fi) & while i am out?
cheers
Ive found a thread on how to connect xda mini s on o2 PAYG using GPRS...

Local webservers not found

Hi ...
I've got a little problem with my HTC's connecting to local webservers.
(QTec 9100, S200 and P3300)
Both work fine when I connect to the router.
Normal internet works fine but I get a connetion error whenI try to view
pages on the local network.
All computers connect wireless and every computer can view local sites as well as from internet. It's the QTec's that pose a problem.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Blue angel (XDA IIs) Wifi problems

Can anyone help. I've been searching all morning but I'm getting nowhere...
First my setup. I've got Orange internet (ADSL) so connect to the net using its (inventel) livebox. Connected to that is a Netgear (DSL) WNR834B which I have to use as a network switch as the livebox only has 2 lan ports,
(just for info Livebox is 192.168.1.1, netgear 192.168.1.5)
After nearly 1 week of trying I've finally got my XDA IIs to connect to my Netrgear router (thanks to my brother and his XDA Orbit).
But I cannot for the life of me get my XDA to connect via Wifi to the internet. I have a wifi connection, but everytime I try to access the net it tries to use GPRS.
I've tried all the help I can find on the XDA itself and tried (and failed) to setup a work network, and route all internet via that (can't find a way of doing this as the wifi isn't even listed...). Tried looking on the Wiki and searched for similar problems on this site. Nothing seems to work.
Can't remember where but I tired to set up proxy to go via 192.168.1.1. Didn't work...
1 week of getting it to connect to the router to fall at the next hurdle... Help.
BTW my brothers XDA orbit connects via my router with no problems. All pages are displayed.
Can anyone help??
'Fraid to say I'm ok with normal cable networking but this Wifi is giving me a headache.
Thanks

Wizard WiFi Question

Good Morning all. I have searched for days, not only this site, but many others, and as of yet, no appropriate solution. Hopefully someone more versed than me with the Wizard might help.
Here is the scenario....I am able to connect my HTC Wizard to the WiFi of my roommates router. He is connected to DSL 3.5 Mbps. On the Wizard I can surf the internet, no problem. I have a computer in my room, but it does not have a wifi card. I am wanting to use my Wizard to connect my computer to the internet via USB, using the connection (WiFi) that exists on my Wizard.
So far, I can connect to my computer through active sync and browse the files on my Wizard. I also am able to tether my Wizard to my computer via Internet Sharing on my EDGE connection. I do notice when I connect my Wizard that is connected to WiFi it shows a LAN connection in the taskbar at bottom right, however, when i try to navigate to any web page in internet explorer, google chrome, or firefox, it comes up with the error like I am not connected.
I know there is a simple fix for this, but I am frustrated and tired of searching to no avail. Thanks in advance many times over.
