Qtek 2.17 MMS problem...

I've got a problem..
I've installed the new Qtek ROM, including all the extended rom files.
I setup my MMS accounts for Orange Netherlands as I also did after my last rom update, and the one before.
Now however, I can't seem to get the MMS functionality working...
I am at a loss here, anybody got an idea what I should do to get it working?
Is there some registry interfering with my manual set MMS settings?
Anyone got an idea?

For Orange CH, we have to put WAP-version 1.2 and not 2.0 in the server settings. Maybe it's the same for you ?

It's already on wap 1.2

I'm performing a Hard Reset now, I'll skip installing extended Rom and just install the MMS-JAVA cab witch is mentioned in the K-Jam post..
Will that cure my problems?
Do I still have smartdialer then?

Okay, I maybe onto something here..
In m,y mms settings, I use a port that starts with 010.250.etc...
When I remove the first zero, so in the MMS settings remove the first 0 from my gateway, it bloody works...
That was sheer luck!!!
Take advantage of this info guys!!!

that sounds right. Cingular's are names like wireless.cingular.com for the gateway rather than an IP Address. But MS stuff in general doesn't tend to like having leading 0's on any section of the ip address. This is probably all that stoped you to begin with as my cingular mms messages go through fine using 2.17 with allowing it to install the EXTRom as it would normally after the flash.

8125 no mms feature

I have an 8125 unlocked which I have set up thru T-Mobile usa. The only problem that I have is I am not able to send MMS msgs. When I go to the messaging menu and try to switch accounts it doesnt show the mms option. Does anyone have any idea how I can get that placed back on phone?

text messaging like the treo 750

llike many on here I started with the new treo 750 but after 6 phones none of which worked I switched to the 8525 I like the phone except for the text messaging.... the 750 was a lot better
so my question is can the text messenger that the 750 uses work on the 8525

Quick heads up on the MMS settings.
MMS Gateway address: wireless.cingular.com
MMS URL: http://mmsc.cingular.com
Network Profile: Default
To eliminate your old MMS box which the software will not do u must edit the reg. This keeps MMS from ending up in the old MMS box, which for some reason tends to happen.
HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Inbox/Svc/MMS1(Rename it MMS1.old)
Everything seems to run smoothly after that, i have been using this program on the original 1.34 Cingular ROM, 1.35SA ROM, as well as the new 2.05 test rom and 2.06 at&t rom.

You can look for something called NetworkWizrd.cab.
I'm sure someone posted it somewhere in the forums, just search for it. It should work.

Thanks alot I actually seen that cab. but didn't want to mess with it cause I didn't know how it would affect my wing. But thanks both of you guys.

Did it help you? For some reason my mms just stopped working (it was working for close to a year). I've tried all the cabs and stuff and they didn't help me. My outgoing mms just sit in the outbox with a clock and never leave. Incoming mms are always blank.

Same Internet and MMS Problems!!??
I reflashed and reflashed but mms and internet isnt working. I used networkwizard. cab file but internet still isnt working. and I installed mms auto config and arcsoft mms and that still isnt working. Could someone tell me if I have to know settings cause I have Unlimited internet so Could someone please help? THanks to whoever can help me solve this problem.

try having someone send you a mms and that might help, iv had the same issue sometimes after installing the mms software hope this helps

what rom are you using?
