I am sure a lotta pple is waiting for it....
btw, i was testing another similar software, it would be good if yours could hv these additional functions:
(a) Supports Class1 SMS (means u can send and store the SMS in the Sent Folder) as well as Class0 SMS (Flash SMS)
(b) Allows multiple recipents to be selected from Contacts (or configurable Contacts program), or pre-configured (saved) list of recipents selectable for sending the scheduled SMS.
(c) Icon Indicator (or removal) of sent SMSs.
(d) Ability to over-ride scheduled SMS, so as to send the scheduled SMS NOW!
(e) Ability to edit/delete the scheduled SMS i.e. message content, recipent list.
(f) Ability to send SMS with unlimited characters
(g) Supports SMS chat, MMS etc (optional)
I better not make this wish-list too large, les it becomes a damper and delay the beta release.....however, i dun see why anyone will not pay for a great software when they see one!
cheers!

RE
Hi!
Can add the abilities to read sms and saves incoming/outgoing sms to say storage card?
Thanks
@FOSA
i will take a look in that someday
well i think the sw is gr8 but the point of sms scheduler is scheduling a routine message to be sent so its pointless to schedule an sms without recurring event, for me this sw is very important as i work for a premium based tv channel, usually i have to send a message every 6 hourse & check whether i recieved them or not, unfortunately this sw can solve half my problems, now i don't have to sleep only 6 hours before i have to send another sms but if i can ask the system to reccurring them, then ur the ONE
Hi TheCardinal, just tried SMS Scheduler after installation, received an error "Application Error ({396BA9A2-978B-11D1-80AC-00C04FAD5EFT}) could not be created" after installing to SD, hope you have some idea what this means.
Update: Just tried installing to main memory, same error.
@iggy
Dont know why it happen dont have that error while developing the program. maybe because im accessing my list using XML and i dont know if the original XDA has the .dll, maybe i can use the old way of saving the list and try it.
@rabi
i dont understand whats the problem?

i mean it should have reccurence, in other words i schedule a message like at 16:00 & ask it to do it everyday at the same time EVERYDAY

Hope for threaded sms on other wm5 devices. the new treo 750v has had the palm application ported to it so you may now see your messages in chat threads. Lets see how long it will take for someone to put the program out.
its been out for awhile.
Do a search for o2 SMS Plus
o2sms plus not a solution
o2 sms plus does not save the chat thread and it does not keep the messages from appearing in the built in messaging app. So not the same thing.

I can't believe I missed this program on the net. It does everything except for emoticons but adds the auto reply feature....Perfect!
I will be testing this program extensively this week. Thank You Much!

Am I going to need to upgrade my ROM? Or is there a way to install Compact Framework 2.0?
*EDIT*
Nevermind. For those of you who don't have Compact Framework 2.0, go to Microsoft.com and download it. Make sure you have your device active through Activesync.
Here's the link if you're too lazy to find it...

You cannot install cab file to storage card. It must be in main memory in order for it to work. Well for me anyways.

ooooo i see what your looking. The only thing I see that's diffrent is that it has the ability to send a text message to an email address. But thanks for sharing,
Threaded SMS
SMS Threader not a very stable application. I tested the application for a week and had many missed and delayed messages. I gave it a week just to verify that the error was not the network. I will submit to the Triangle Power user forum and wait for the next version.
Just wanna ask guys if you know a program that lets you send a SMS on a set time and date? Just like a SMS Scheduler. And where can you download it?
I got a SMS Scheduler from a local site here in PH but when I click on Add recipient, it just closes down.
Appreciate all replies... Thanks!
I think you mean the same website. But you good take a look at RJV SMS Scheduler.

Unfortunately Sir thats the program that I tried on my PPC. But it doesn't seem to work on mine. All I get is this error msg.:
Error
An unexpected error has occurred in SMS Scheduler.exe.
Select Quit and then restart this program, or select Details for more information.
Buttons below = Details and Quit
When you click on Details it shows Visual Basic Codes and Strings. If you click on Quit, the programs close out.
Flash your phone with WM6 from O2 website. It has a program called O2 SMS Plus, which can do the job.

PowerSMS, just google it
Hello All.
I am currently in the process of developing an application to text mobiles via an activesync connected device.
So no subscriptions, no pay per text etc etc.. Simply uses your phone\tarrif to send messages..
I was considering releasing it on here, and wondered what (if any) would the interest be? Would anyone use it?
It's in the early dev stages at the moment... But I am willing to consider BETA testers.
Would you be willing?
Cheers
MikeSel^
yes i would love to help beta your application. let me know when its ready! cheers!
Sounds good, I had a program to do this with my ancient Nokia.
If you can make it provider independent I would love to test it
I would also love to help beta your application. let me know when its ready! Thanks
Would you be able to make it read text's also, so you could use it like an email client - would be easier for me to send texts whilst at work like this.
I would be willing to test.
I would use this daily as i send alot of text messages!
this would be great, my phone is hooked up to activesync the whole time at work and im constantly sending txts.
I can send texts from MS Outlook 2k7, no activesync or phone hookup needed- but I think you have to have Sprint as a carrier and a hotmail account.
Thanks for your replies..
I will add them all to my development plans, and post up once the beta is ready to test.
This will be completely independant from any carriers as it will simply use your phones carrier to send\receive messages!
If you have any feature requests feel free to reply with them now.
Thanks

Ability to browse inbox/sent items if you can please - so no interaction with the phone is needed.
Also, mark messgaes read/unread and delete.
They are all i would probably use. Cheers for the effort man!
Read/Unread... Good idea!!
**Runs off to implement**
KEEP UM COMING!
I use my mobile from desktop by using http://www.jeyo.com/index.asp its not free but works well for me.
I'm very interested in this...
Will you run a client application on the device, or are you directly accessing the data? (RAPI maybe?)
Well the idea stems from Jeyo, I've used it for ages.. But I feel there are parts missing from it. An I like to be able to customize the software to how I want to use it.
I am currently using RAPI with a 'server\client' type thing going on. However I am not sure this will be how it ends up. Depends on how much I can squeese from RAPI.
Looking forward to this mate, should be a good little project for you.
I know what u mean with customizing software that ur using.

OK, how about supporting command line so that i can send txt msgs using my '.net programs'.
Even better would be to expose a sort of API through a dll file.
I would love that.
Ok, Well my proof of concept exe may help you there.. The exe simply reads from a text file. First line phone number, next line message..
So I have an app that creates the text message copies it to the device and then starts the exe. Which sends the exe,,
So if you want to use this, make the text file in the root of the device and run the exe.
I will build in a similar function to the final version.
Thanks
Mike
cool im looking forward to this. it would be really usefull.
im up for this too....will it work with Vista?
mDesktop is wicked for txtin from tour desktop, if you have ur diamond connected the txts pop up on you monitor 2
Hi guys, it seems i'm having an issue when i schedule an SMS with PowerSMS, i did a test to schedule a SMS to my brother 4 minutes later and it never recieved.
I checked PowerSMS and it said it sent it.
I checked SMS History and out of the 10 test SMS i sent, i saw one in the history of sent SMS however even that one never got recieved.
I have applied the SMS hotfix and it still doesn't work.
I sent an SMS the usual way and 2 seconds later; my brother recieved it.
I used SKB Group SMS Scheduler but this one was even more weird. If i set a schedule, it would ignore it and send the SMS instantly; making the whole scheduling thing useless.
Has anyone used a similar program on the LEO and made it successfully work?
Thanks in advance.
bumping to hopefully get a solution.

hey dude,
not sure whether you are aware of it but the leo has some issues with sms and some ciaim that the hot fix for it fixes it and some dont...anyway i used the sms scheduler for a long time now (previously on diamond and diamond2) and it worked perfectly.
in some cases itworked on my leo but i reckon the sms phone issue must be fixed before any other sms program

Great I was using v1.2 and work perfect (except for the calendar that seems to be huge and button are out of screen , but setting the date with the keyboard do the trick)
Tilt 2
Had the same issues with Tilt 2. PowerSMS and Skb do not send SMS's SMS Scheduler works good. Too bad it isn't ported to VGA so the screen looks wierd.
Thanx SMS Scheduler because only one that works and it's FREE...
I have a question maybe someone here knows a solution.
I got the idea when I made the following note. I have a old simcard whit sms and phone numbers but unfortunately I can not figure what the pincode was now I know that there is a sim reader but it makes no sense without the pin code.
Well I thought it is not possible at such a cab to make that a txt file where all incoming and outgoing SMS messages are copied and stored so you can always look back and also your phone numbers are copied.
This invention would be for all people who want to preserve their SMS. having regard to any programs I can write and I thought let me make it here that someone might ask whether this is a good idea to findit would be nice that someone here to find a solution
I like to see your reactions respond
sorry for my bad english
no one ??
I can give a donation for those who can make this
What is the point of this when there are many programs out there already to do this.
PIMBAckup by Dotfred is probably the best known, but we now also have Microsoft MyPhone that can do the same thing

M8, you can just use MyPhone: this will back-up all you SMS messages on-the-air, so every time you are buying a new phone, you just log in to your MyPhone accout and will automatically get all your SMS messages downloaded. Just like that!
It's times better than using any other solution!
Of course, you can view or delete the messages online, by using any browser and logging in to your account!
Hope it helps!

MyPhone comes installed on HD2 devices, or (if not) you can get it from the MarketPlace. If that doesn't work, use google to find an installer. It's a Microsoft app and you can set it to automatically backup all sorts of info from your device. There's a web interface where you can edit or archive things too. It's one of the first things I set up on a new phone.
