I've just found another WinCE BT stack at http://www.bluesoleil.com/update/index.asp
Unfortunately it is not working just after installation. But maybe it can be forced to work like Widcomm stack after some registry or file modifications? I don't have time to check this myself, but maybe someone would play with it?
Nice one!
But:
Hmm i was just reading the user guide and it seems that Headset or Handsfree Profile is not supported. So this stack seems useless to me... maybe I am wrong though.... :?
Cheers

Windows Media player doesn't find the storage card, so I'm using pPod instead...
I know that the developers put the project on ice...
BUT, does anyone here have the resources to add a2dp compliant pPod...
Audio streams fine, but you can't use the controls for changing tracks /play pause...
I'm using the SE HBH-DS970, and the Bass is very decent in that headset...

"Support for A2DP & AVRCP profiles."
This are the two bluetooth additions in cupcake..
Please explain me this two terms and does they mean that i can transfer files with other phones via bluetooth?
Don't post wikipedia links i dint understood any thing from there...
Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP)
allows you to transfer audio files to another device over bluetooth
Audio/Video Remote Control (AVRCP)
allows you to control audio/video on a device such as a computer or tv over bluetooth, as long as they support it.
there you go.
does any of these things allow me to transfer data(files not supported or apk files) over bluetooth?
or even images pictures?
Hi, can somebody recomend me a player that can be used with my BT headset so that i can control play/pause and skip and back with the buttons on the BT?

Personally, I have tried many media players and the one that works the best for me is the music tab built into the Manila. WMP bites, and unfortunately, it seems to always hijack the avrcp signal from by BT devices. I tried pocket player, core player(great for movies), but I keep coming back to the built in player. It is the best, most consistent I have found.
Good luck and cheers!
Try Pocket Tunes with Itunes integration & Bluetooth Stereo Works
Try Pocket Tunes
I used Pocket Tunes for years on my Palm Lifedrive and now there is a Windows Mobile version. It works great with my Sony Ericsson DS970 Stereo Bluetooth and yes the AVRCP support is spot on and actually works.
I use it to download podcast, Stream and Organize Internet Radio, It remebers the last position in all my Audiobooks, of course MP3's But best of all is the Itunes integration (has a helper App that runs on the Desktop of PC that runs alongside Itunes to sync playlist)
What it does not do is handle video for that I use Core player. Give it a try they just lowered the price too.

Hi All,
I've never tried it with my older G1, but does the N1 using the included media player send META data over BT/A2DP when being used?
In my 2010 Lexus HS250h stereo, when playing back MP3 files that have proper META data on a BlackBerry 9700, the "Title", "Artist", and "Album" are properly displayed on the HUD. However, when using the N1, I get no such information but at least the handsfree controls works (start, stop, trickplay, etc.)
Is this a limitation of the BT stack that's in the N1 or just a software implementation issue (music player)?
Thanks!
Cheers,
Kermee
Im guessing its a software limitation - the music player app doesn't seem to have had much work put behind it.
I really hope they update the music player app in the future and implement that sleek look of the menus and GUI from the gallery app.
Hi all,
I have been trying to find a music player in the Market that can help me make playlists more easily.
In particular...
able to pick multiple songs out of different albums and not have to start over at the beginning of ALL THE ALBUMs!
Does anyone.. use a good music player that they can recommend?
Also on wish list but not required at this point:
-have stereo Bluetooth
-can control the music player with my Bluetooth headphone device
-has an equalizer
-have controls on the lock screen (similar to HTC's player)
Thanks for help.
Dan
No music player other than HTC's will be able to have lock screen controls.
The lack of EQ is due to limitations in Android's audio API. There is a player in Market that claims to have it, but it's $30... There's a free version, but I haven't tried it, because my headphones are decent enough that I don't need it.
I use MixZing specifically because it lets me queue up things from different categories. I don't use actual playlists though. No idea how well it deals with Bluetooth.
I just found a program to fix Bluetooth button on headsets.
claims to fix the other players.. so your headset can control the new player.
It must be new... because there were no comments by any user.
it is called: "Headset Button Fix"
but it requires the HTC player be removed.
If I do remove the HTC Player...
How do I get it back if it is not what I want??
