Windows Media player doesn't find the storage card, so I'm using pPod instead...
I know that the developers put the project on ice...
BUT, does anyone here have the resources to add a2dp compliant pPod...
Audio streams fine, but you can't use the controls for changing tracks /play pause...
I'm using the SE HBH-DS970, and the Bass is very decent in that headset...

Finally, its for WM5, here:-

A very solid player with many effects settings
hm.. still beta version..
but its ok...
Hi FOSA,
I have not tried GSPlayer yet since I use TCPMP to play both my MP3s and movies. Can you give a reason why GSPlayer is better in playing MP3s?
Plus, does it work well on the EXEC?
Tried it but it doesn't play WMA files, TCPMP miles better...
Uh?
well in my opinion GSplayer rulez only bcuz it has
BOOMBASTIC BASE!!!
go 2 effects en put the slider 4 bass 2 the right end.
put on ya headset....
Best base ever!!!
or is there a program that can beat it?
I liked Mortplayer bcuz it can use different maps... But it does not have that incredible base ....
But i didt try the wm5 version... maybe this one has that option
Thanks guys. I tried it yesterday. One thing I noticed, GSPllayer plays my MP3s better than TCPMP. The sound quality is much better. So I'll keep them both.
RE
I find that GSPlayer has many effects settings like 3D, Surround, Bass, Echo, Reverb etc that TCPMP lacks
Secondly, when I tried playing MP3 songs using TCPMP from BLUETAKE iPHONO bluetooth headphone through a bluetooth dongle the song volume sometimes go high and sometimes go low. Playing the same song using GSPlayer and bluetooth headphone does not have this problem
One issue with GSPlayer is that the equalizer and effects settings does not stick. Each time I have completed the settings and click OK the equalizer settings returns to FLAT
Anyone has this problem?
Thanks
Is there any app that will boost the audio quality (for ringtone, music, movies etc)?
also I have another question, I tried the 'anyfolder ringtones' tweak, I did it correctly but somehow it still points out to windows/rings/ any ideas?
thanks
Not sure how you mean 'boost audio quality' because if you listen with headphones you find the audio quality of the wizard very good. If you want to play music with your wizard - there is a very good stereo docking station that does the trick. If you mean try to get a better sound out of the small stereo speakers - then a rom upgrade may help. I noticed an improvement and that why i have stayed with my current rom for now. Also you could try a graphic equalizer to help with the sound = i use the core pocket player . some hacks on the forum that claim to make the sound louder but not better i think!
As for the registry hack - a better solution i think is to place your rngtones in the storage card\my documents folder and they show up in the list of available ringtones
oh thanks for the reply, I appreciate that.
Yea I found that core media player has a built in g.equalizer which in my case doesn't work too well. The problem is the treble sometimes can be too high, or the bass wouldn't come out at all. I have the latest rom, or could it be the headphone? I use the one that comes with it.
About the registry hacking. It doesnt work for me. Yesterday I tried it for hours but it just doesn't work for me. I have to find the solution though cuz I don't want to put all the ringtones and wallpapers in the phone's memory.
Is there any app that can do it fast and easy for me?

HTH,

I am using HHC and it loads up Windows Media player which is OK...I am not all that concerned about it being part of HHC... I want a MP3 player that can:
1. Enhance the sound of my MP3's...options like an equalizer to enhance the sound output
2. Able to allow me to find and play my MP3's by genre and the option to make playlist
That is really all for now....once I get that I will ask about some good headphones some are using with the Mogul...
So what programs do I need to be testing fam????

You can try MortPlayer - It can do most of these things.

Of course S2P is great, I love it - but he was looking for playlist support and equalizer - S2P does not have these options. I would still try it anyways, for the cool factor. I use S2P, WMP, Mort Player, TCPMP and HTC Audio Manager. Each one is good in it's own way with their own features.
I'm using Conduit's Pocket Player 3.7 and it works well (it's not a free program but upgraded versions are). It's got the eq controls, bluetooth headset control functions, playlists, search by genre etc.
Hope that helps.
GSPlayer fits all my needs, has the built in EQ and WOW type effects. Freeware and skinnable.

Personally, I have tried many media players and the one that works the best for me is the music tab built into the Manila. WMP bites, and unfortunately, it seems to always hijack the avrcp signal from by BT devices. I tried pocket player, core player(great for movies), but I keep coming back to the built in player. It is the best, most consistent I have found.
Good luck and cheers!
Try Pocket Tunes with Itunes integration & Bluetooth Stereo Works
Try Pocket Tunes
I used Pocket Tunes for years on my Palm Lifedrive and now there is a Windows Mobile version. It works great with my Sony Ericsson DS970 Stereo Bluetooth and yes the AVRCP support is spot on and actually works.
I use it to download podcast, Stream and Organize Internet Radio, It remebers the last position in all my Audiobooks, of course MP3's But best of all is the Itunes integration (has a helper App that runs on the Desktop of PC that runs alongside Itunes to sync playlist)
What it does not do is handle video for that I use Core player. Give it a try they just lowered the price too.

Hi all,
I have been trying to find a music player in the Market that can help me make playlists more easily.
In particular...
able to pick multiple songs out of different albums and not have to start over at the beginning of ALL THE ALBUMs!
Does anyone.. use a good music player that they can recommend?
Also on wish list but not required at this point:
-have stereo Bluetooth
-can control the music player with my Bluetooth headphone device
-has an equalizer
-have controls on the lock screen (similar to HTC's player)
Thanks for help.
Dan
No music player other than HTC's will be able to have lock screen controls.
The lack of EQ is due to limitations in Android's audio API. There is a player in Market that claims to have it, but it's $30... There's a free version, but I haven't tried it, because my headphones are decent enough that I don't need it.
I use MixZing specifically because it lets me queue up things from different categories. I don't use actual playlists though. No idea how well it deals with Bluetooth.
I just found a program to fix Bluetooth button on headsets.
claims to fix the other players.. so your headset can control the new player.
It must be new... because there were no comments by any user.
it is called: "Headset Button Fix"
but it requires the HTC player be removed.
If I do remove the HTC Player...
How do I get it back if it is not what I want??
