Hi i have Elelinux-7.1.0-RC1-Hero-v3.1 Android 2.3.5 and my sd card is now very slow,i can't copy big files abt 700 mb how to improve speed tnx?
Buy a Class 4 or above SD Card.
buy a high-speed sd card
You can try an SD Booster App (https:**market.android.com/details?id=de.mehrmann.sdbooster&feature=search_result <- sorry I´m a newby) they increase the cache size of your device, which CAN speed up your card..

There's a .Zip file that you can install via recovery mode hosted on the Elelinux 3.2 forum page simply referred to as "SD card tweak"
This supposedly increases your SD cards transfer speed, But my card is a class 4, I've had no real problems with it anyhow.
Hi,
I'm using a Wildfire with CyanogenMod v7.1.0.1. When I changed to a 16G sd-card recently I began to think about the various app-to-sd methods and put an additional EXT partition on the card "just in case".
Just one question: How does my sd-card performance compare to internal flash speed? How can I find out? "SD-Tools" benches my card at 6 MB/s write, 25 MB/s read. What's the speed of the internal flash?
Regards
edit: second question reg. app2sd-method removed (found the right one for me myself in the meantime)
intenal flash faster than mem card i think so!
Try S2E app from market
I just installed cm10 running on the sd card. Its very responsive. Want to know if it could be faster if its install on the internal disk?
does it make a difference where it residing? thanks

No, not really. If you have a very slow card then SD is slower. But if you are saying it is very responsive, then going to internal will probably make no speed increase.
Hello!
I just bought a Sandisk 16 class10 card and put it in my S4.
It didn't take the card before a boot though I am using PAC rom.
I tried SD tool app on the phone itself and gave me about 8.5mb/s
On PC I used h2testw and got a ridiculous 7.7mb/s
Now I don't what's the problem.
Should I format the card into a specific format or PAC rom is slowing the USB in a way?
I noticed USB transfer files is slower with PAC

Thats really weird... I have a Class 6 lexar 8gb micro SD card and get about 15-17MB/s and on rare occasions 10MB/s you might have a faulty SD card though because a Class 10 should get in the mid-high 20's easily

I formatted it in windows 8 as exfat, tried it again with the SD Tool app and got 22mb/s but when transferring files from PC to the phone it stays between 6 and 7mb/s.
It could be PAC rom messing with USB so I will flash TW 4.3 rom (Goldeneye) to see if it will change something.
It took me 2mins to transfer the 950mb of the rom while in the HTC One days it would have take 20sec...
Report on Echoe rom before flashing the new modem:
Using 400mb test file with H2testw Writing speed: 6.67mb/s and Reading speed : 19mb/s
Weird thing is that it starts first 4 secs with high 22mb/s then drop to 6!!
Dunno if new modem will change something
Could this card be a fake?
Looks like a Class 4 disguised in 10.
Tested speed of the card using the adapter on 2 different PCs and got 9.5mb/s.
Thanks God I have a warranty from the official Sandisk dealer,so I tell them I get between 6 to 10mb/s max while I should have the double.
I will try to format the card one last time before asking for a replacement just to double check
Hi guys.
When I'm trying to check my read/write speeds, SD Tools gives me information about error writing buffer.
I own S4 i9505 16GB version with external 8 GB memory card.
I have changed cache size for both to 1024 kb using SD Booster
I can easily take pictures, copy things and do other stuff without any problem with memory cards.
AnTuTu Benchmark couldn't go over testing i/o performance.
What could be the problem?
