Hi guys.
Can anyone here teach me how to transfer things straight from the SMS I receive to contacts.
1. I want to save phone/contact numbers sent to me thru sms. Right now I have to copy and then go to contacts then create new and then paste ... any way to do it like in the nokia phones where you could save to contacts straight away?
2. Contact number of the sender him/herself.
thanks!
I think that as the XDA2 appears to be a PDA first then a phone second, this functionality isn't possible, I currently work just as you do...

Hi guys,
sorry to get back on this question, but it is really bugging me off:
When I try to send an sms to SOME contacts, my 9100 sends me to the generic SMS form - without pre-filling the "To" field with the correct number.
Of course the contacts in question does have a mobile/sms number filled in. Also, I can't figure which contacts are affected.
And: the problem seems to happen only with the original Contacts form. SMSsing from Agenda Fusion works just right.
Editing over two characters in the "note" section of the contact seems to fix the problem FOR THAT SPECIFIC name only, but of course I'd like to find a more sensible solution.
Any suggestions?
no?
Is there anyway to creat distribution lists in Pocket Outlook on the Tytn???
I would certainly like to know if there is.
I have the same problem for sending texts to groups, only way i found was to make one message and select all the recipients you would normally wish to send to then copy and paste them into a note, save the note and copy paste it back to new e-mails / texts.
Only thing i really missed about my nokia used to be able to send a text etc to a group
you might wanna check this out.

Your question is confusing, are you wanting the sms program? Every rom I have tried so far has sms included. Maybe give a little more info on what your wanting and someone could point you in the right direction.
Confusing boog321 is an understatement ,more like a totally weird request, are you on about picture messages and being able to receive them or just receiving standard txt messages.
Or are you on about transferring your sms messages to your PC from your Wizard? If so use PPCPim Backup or use Jeyo Mobile Extender which will allow you to transfer the sms's to a folder in outlook.
As boog321 stated please clarify what it is exactly that you wish to do.
Hi All
I am trying to find a way of sending a Business Card via SMS like all the good old Nokia's and other mobile phones use to do it... I have seen I can do it through Bluetooth or IR but can't find out to do it through SMS?? any ideas?
A Business Card is just a way of sending one of your contacts to another phone, if you beem (Bluetooth or IR) a contact to another phone you will see it says Business Card recived... Want to do the same thing but with SMS (other phones can do this)..

Hi
Probably the easiest way to do it is with an app called Power SMS by Trinket Software. It's an app you need to pay for but it does other things such as scheduling SMS's and producing reports. If you just wish to send an SMS to specific groups you can use a program call GroupSMS this is freeware. You have to set the groups up in outlook on your PC but it's free and works for me.
Hope this has helped
such tasks usually come on common hollidays to me, i.e. known dates. so i use my laptop for multi-sms from home. i use efficasoft mobile express.

With groupsms, you can also select individual contacts by checking the box, not necessary to create groups. you can find the program here
