Need the original Radio firmware of 2002 - MDA, XDA, 1010 Software Upgrading

I have a T-Mo USA 2002...
I'm trying to down grade the Radio firmware to the original version but don't know where to get it. Please help!
After upgrading my PPC 2002 to 4.01.16 with RS 6.25.02, everything works much better except one thing, which I need the most, doesn't work anymore: Accessing work email via PPTP VPN over GPRS.
Vpn connection establishs just fine but very unreliable. Sometimes very few emails are downloaded, other times email can't even logon to the server. I never successfully downloaded all my emails (in a 3-days period) with this new Radio firmware.
I tried out the MovianVPN, it works great! But don't like the way you have to go through so many things before getting your email!
Thanks for your help!

Please help...
I think I need the RS 6.18 from T-Mobile. If anyone has it, please give me a link to it or PM me so I can you my Email address to send to.

Previous versions of O2 ROM

I had a look on the FTP site but couldn't find the 1.13.82 version of the O2 ROM anywhere, only a broken link on WIKI. I am thinking of upgrading to the latest version, but would like the option of going back to the 1.13.82 version if I don't like it. Could anyone who has the o2 UK 1.13.82 upgrade file post it on the FTP site please?
I have "Xda_Exec_Upgrade_v113188.exe", but I don't know how to post to our FTP here. Let me know and I'll gladly post.
I desperately need a link to the new QTek ROM if you can help...?
Thanks Deke - I think you managed to get the QTEK rom from another thread. How are you finding it?
All the instructions for posting a file to the FTP site are here:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_FTP_Site
In a nutshell, log on to ftp.xda-developers.com with username xdaupload & password xda with your favourite FTP client and pop it in the Universal/ROMS folder.
I would be extremely grateful if you could upload your Xda_Exec_Upgrade_v113188.exe file to the server.
Alternatively PM me, and I'll give you my e-mail address. If you then e-mail it to me, I'll pop it on the FTP server.
I got the QTek ROM, but it wouldn't let me upgrade as it said the country was wrong. I went back to O2 113188 and installed just to WM5 part without the O2 bits. that'll do me for now until I can find a way to get the Qtek file to work.
I'll try to upload it for you now.
My browser is giving me real problems with FTP. Give me 1/2 an hour and I'll try it with Mrs Deke's laptop.
Much appreciated. By the way, the pw is xda in lowercase, not XDA as I posted above.
File uploading now, should be ready in about 10/15 minutes.
You're a star!

It does include the AIM, ICQ, Yahoo! IM Client, but do be aware they you are charged a text message for each message sent and recieved via that client.

Gaijins help!! X01HT Softbank email/mms settings

Hi!!
First of all, thanks to all you guys for the great work!! Especially to MrVanx and Alcibiade for the excellent and up to date upgrade/conversion guides!!
I'm a total newbie to the Windows mobile scene.
I'm in Japan and running LVSW WM6 on my X01HT. After the flash to WM6 LVSW rom I could make/reveive phone calls and get online via WIFI without any issue, but I could'nt (still can't) send and receive emails or mms via Softbank AP (HSDPA?). After some searching I found a Softbank AP patch here <http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298031> and applied it. Now I can not get online via WIFI either. I still can receive mms sesseges from other Softbank users (I guess) but I cant reply to them as the system displays an error messege stating that the server cant be found. I plan to reflash my phone with Dutty's WM6 rom right after I finish writing this cry for help. So I should be able to get at least WIFI working after that. But still puzzled with what I need to do to get online via Softbank?? and how do I setup my Softbank email account ([email protected]) and MMS?? I'm cut off from the world for the past two weeks and would really appreciate if someone can help. Thanks a lot!.

The internet access via Softbank AP and sending and receiving MMS are 2 different things.
It seems you have some "corruption" experienced after trying to implement the Softbank AP settings. I recommend to reflash the latest WM6 ROM you have and then apply the Softbank settings again - by the letter as described in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298031
It works 100%, I have done it with various WM6 ROMs, and it always worked.
If you have it running, let me know, and I will send you the patch for MMS.
Thanks a lot 'Chainbolt'.
Finally I was able to find the time to re-flash my phone last night. Now I am running LVSW WM6 3.3+SPL V2.1 (super fast!). Soonafter I applied the SoftBank AP settings patch and this time it was a success!! Thanks a lot for pointing me in the right direction.
Now all I need is to be able to send and receive email from my Softbank email account. How do I go about this?? I guess this is where I need the patch you are kind enough to share with me?? Thanks in advance..
PS: If you are anywhere near Otemachi/Marunouchi I owe you a beer!
Cheers

Need some email help after flashing

I need some help i have search for 3 days now looking for a reason i cannot send email on the data connection after i flashed from the stock tmobile rom. I have a tmobile touch pro, with the following done to it.
ROM is the 21864 build nov 3 2009 version
radio is now 3.46.25.18
spl is 0.85.olinex
SIM unlocked
I have tried 2 other ROMS and two the roms were tried with the stock tmobile radio 4.47.25.17.
Before i flashed the roms i had no issue with my email, I use a time warner pop3 email accnt. I thought it might be the issue so I opened up a GMAIL accnt still the same issue. I cannot send email over the data connection all is working over wifi on both accnts. Anyone else having this issue? Any help or leads on how to fix it would appreciated because I want to stay with this NRG rom.

did you go into your gmail settings on they're site and enable pop access?? i'm moving you over to general section by the way.. this isn't rom dev material.
i had the same problem at first.
my providers automatic settings made me use a proxy server with different ports. after i deleted those my internet worked fine.(youtoube wasnt working either for example)
Thanks for the replies it looks like there was a setting deep in the advance setting for the email that needed to be changed. Network connection needed to be on T-mobile internet. Thx for everyone that replied. Mods please lock this thread.

NOOB help needed

Hi guys,
Just bought the phone. It's clean. I've only installed the hot fixes from HTC official website and that's it.
Here's what I have:
OS Version: 5.2.21869 (21869.5.0.82)
Manila Version: 2.5.19211619.0
ROM Version: 1.48.479.1 (71294) WWE
ROM Date: 11-18-09
Radio Version: 2.06.51.07
Protocol Version: 15.30.50.07U
I have a problem though. I can't seem to be able to get email clients (either outlook or others [gmail, yahoo]) to work with the mobile internet we get from Vodafone - i keep getting this error - Cannot Connect - Cannot Connect with current connection settings. To change your connection settings, tap Settings. However, the internet works, I can browse, facebook etc. Can you please let me know if there's a fix for this? It seems to work on WiFi connection!
I would also like to ask, if someone is patient enough, to let me know what applications/roms/radios should I install in order to benefit at max from the phone.
I don't mind if you could send me (on private) links as to where I could download free games and apps.
Many many thanks in advance and I'm sorry for the long post!
All the best,
DH

USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION...
Update your ROM to the latest official one if you are not going to use a custom one.
"Free games" will be price at £/$0 on Windows Markeplace or in OMarket not going to support warez.
you're really not helping. There are hundreds of pages and posts here. That's what HTC said about the ROM, that is the latest for my serial number although there's another one available, it wouldn't let me download it.
No one? Please!!!
Hi Digitalhater.
The latest official ROM for the HD2 is 1.66. This ROM contains all the fixes that have been released. As far as i know, this ROM is now available for all regions.
Download and install.
You can also go the cooked ROM route, there are some brilliant ROM's in the ROM development forum.
For good free games and apps, go to www-freewarepocketpc-net.
Sorry, can't post links yet.
As for your email problem, make sure that you have the correct POP and SMTP servers setup, or else your mail won't connect. You can get this from your IP.
So if you go here:
http://www.htc.com/uk/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=297&cat=2&dl_id=856
and put in your serial number it won't let you download? You didn't click on the T-Mobile ROM update by mistake did you?

Are there any specific ones I should look at? Some that you'd recommend?
As well, could you help me with the synchronization error I get for the email?
Many thanks in advance.
Sounds like it's a vendor locked device, you'd need to get in touch with your phone provider and see if they're going to release a ROM. If not, you need to flash the phone with HSPL to install a new ROM
(Just realised I gave you the link to the UK site but checked on the Romanian one and the ROM you're on is the latest for your region)
The first thing I would do is make sure that all the connection information for your log in etc for you email is correct and that you are telling your email to use the internet connection to find email.
Eliminate the simple things first. The answer is not always to flash a new rom although that can help with other stuff later. Walk before you try to run.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion. However, how can I check what connection is the email using?
What I find suspicious is that the browsing works with these settings and if I connect to wireless they all work. THank you all in advance!
You're best off asking VF direct as they may have a block on certain mail servers in your region. In the UK I use my Googlemail account just fine over WiFi or contract Internet
worth noting here that many (not all) ISPs only allow sending of email when connected directly to their own network.
A good example is ntlworld email accounts in the UK. You can send and receive over pop and smtp when connected to the ntlworld connection at home, , and you can receive when connected to mobile data, BUT try and send via smtp.ntlworld.com when you are connected to mobile data and it fails.
It is to prevent 'relaying' which used to be a well used spam technique.
If its vodafone your on you can download the Rom from their site here http://devicehelp.vodafone.co.uk/firmwaredevice.php?ModelID=424&e=0
For WVGA games you can get some quite good free ones here http://wvga.pda4you.org/
Enjoy
Thanks a lot to you all. Still haven't managed to fix the email client on vodafone's mobile internet.
another question, is there a way you can have landscape mode on every application for HTC HD 2? or to have the home screen in landscape?
