hello guys... i'm just confusing
i'm try to connect my xda via bt as a modem ( i use sony erricson phone ) and make the connection as the dial up its working, but not work at xda II ,
i already make the pairing as the dial up cause i always going somewhere with my laptop and xda and connect to the internet via gprs, also i tried at the wi modem of xda through bt connection ...not work....anybody have suggestions..... thanks a lot
The XDA is currently not supporting the modem profile. You can use other device as modem but the XDA it self cannot be used as such via bluetooth.

Hi,
In the following document you can find the answer. (last question)
This is for the qtek 2020 or XDAII with Win XP
Cheers
Somehow I managed to make a connection (pair the evices) but when it comes to establishing what kind of services can happen between the two devices, nothing happens. In the end, I have a connection, the devices show as paired but I can't move files or connect one to the other in any possible way. Any ideas anyone?

Re: device
@MCEITLIN and @benmuliono
If your devices are paired then you can active syn over BT to sync your device and the pass-through to connect to the internet.
Indeed you can't browse the network because the network profile is not supported by the Bluetooth stack used in the XDA.
To be able to browse the network you've to use the WidCom Bluetooth stack and a BT dongle on you PC/Notebook/Laptop whatever which supports the network profile or PAN.
The WidCom bluetooth stack can be found on this forum

who can let me know,
xda 2 has build in GPS or no?
or have 2 buy external bluetooth GPS?
can xda 2 upgrade to window mobile 5?
or build in WIFI?
Pretty sure that no XDA2 has built-in GPS, and therefore you will need either a wired or bluetooth receiver separately. The IIi does however have built in WIFI.
As for upgrading to WM5, not sure but certain someone else will let you know.
at buzzdev.net there is a beta version of 2005 which run on himalaya
it's not official though and nor is it ever likely to be i fear
Hello everyone,
Up until this week I have always had a SPV 2000 but I smashed the screen so I now have a unlocked O2 XDA 2. I am trying to pair my Bluetooth gps receiver to my XDA 2 which is easy enough but there is no Bluetooth manager anywhere on my XDA 2 where I can manage any of the BT settings or where I can turn my bluetooth device on etc etc like there was on the SPV 2000. All the BT functions I have is if I click on my BT icon on the XDA its comes up on a MODE tab with the option of turning the BT on, off or dicoverable. Then there is a tab for bonded devices and all you can do in there is bond the device and thats it. Once the device is bonded you cant access any setting for the device at all and you cant even turn it on all you can do is either rename it or delete it. On my SPV M2000 you could choose com ports and turn the bonded connection on and off etc but there is none of this on the xDA 2 at all which is useless as no program will detect my BT GPS receiver as I cant turn it on or allocate a com port to it. Is there some way of accessing these features please as its no point having a BT connection if I cant turn the bloomin thing on. Also just one other quesation, When I install my tomtom there is no GPS panel in my programs folder so I cant change any of the com ports or settings for the gps either. If anyone can tell me how to put these functions on my XDA that would be great.
Any quick reply will result in a gold star.........Thanks.....Tim
As above?
How do I set up GPS on my XDA ii?
Bump back to the top!
without knowing anything about gps on xdaII i'd bet
those people who do would like information about
1. what gps device you mean
2. how it connect to the xdaII as in bluetooth or wire or...
3. what gps program as in tomtom or.....
Of course
-Its an XDA II
-Connecting to a Navman SPiN 100 via bluetooth
-Using supplied Smart ST software. Also same prob if I try to use TomTom6 as well
-Can get them to speak to each other via bluetooth and seem to sync but there is never ever a satellite signal received. I dont think its a bad receiver as it was brand new from totalpda.co.uk
