I am experiencing a problem when I am on an incoming call talking and I get the beep for a second incoming call. I keep talking on call one, when suddenly I am not able to hear the first caller. The display shows first call still running.
Has anyone else experienced this before I take phone back to dealer and does anyone know of a cure. My callers are getting a bit frustrated at being cut off.
I have ROM 1.66.00WWE, dated 02/20/04, downloaded from O2 official site and radio ver 1337.18. My XDA2 is unlocked using XDA developers tool. My SIM is on the Orange network in UK.
Any help gratefully appreciated.

Hi everyone,
I am having an annoying issue with the GPRS connection on my Qtek S100.
I am usually connected through GPRS to receive my email and to be online with MSN Messenger. The only time I do not use GPRS is when connecting through Active Sync or when making/receiving a call. My problem is that if I do not explicitly end the GPRS connection before making a call or connecting through active sync I have to restart the phone by going to flight mode before I am able to get a new GPRS connection. The problem is even worse with incoming calls as I can not end the GPRS connection by pressing the red button before I answer the call as that will hang up on the person calling me instead.
I believe it got this way after applying the latest software upgrade from www.qtek.se.
Is anyone else having the same problem?
yes me to.. also after latest upgrade...
dont know what to do.. im gonna call brightpoint..
I've sent you a PM.
Let me know when you have spoken to Brightpoint and I will call them again.
Any news regarding this?
I do also have these problems with GPRS.
Works fine for me…
Hi,
I have up till now used Telia but just switched over to Comviq, works fine for med, both with Telia and Comviq.

Talked to Brightpoint today.
It seems like not everyone gets this problem, and to their knowledge none of their own phones has it. They did however hope for a solution with the next software update (no news on when that will be available though). They also asked me to contact Engström Telecom to find out if they had any idea. When I found time to call Engström they had closed for the week, so I'll get back with more info next week.
I had a slight variation on this problem. GPRS session was actively downloading data when a call came in, and then before I could answer it, a message came up saying that the call could not be answered. What's that all about?

My problem seems to have automatically cured itself during the weekend. I guess Telia must have made some upgrade to their network, cause I am quite sure I didn't do anything!
I found out that I'm not always getting a notification of a missed call or a new SMS. If I don't have any service and somebody calls me, he/she gets my voicemail. Normally if you then get service again, you receive a message saying that you have a new voicemail.
I only get that message when I'm making a phone call or when I'm sending an SMS.
If somebody calls me when my phone is off, and I turn the phone back on, I immediately get a voicemail message. So if I switch to flight-mode and back, the problem does not occur.
A friend with an Orange M500 has the same problem.
To rule out my service provider, I tried my SIM in a Nokia 6230. Then the problem did not occur.
Does anybody experience this problem? Or even better, does anybody have a solution for this?
Thanks.
I think this may be a ROM problem, I seem to remember a similar problem when I had 1.11 installed. I wasn't getting the voicemail symbol appearing next to the START button when I had a voicemail waiting.
Vodafone send me an SMS so I knew from that. Since I have installed 1.12 I always see a little tap reader symbol (voicemail) at the top when I have a voicemail waiting.
Hope this helps,
M

Hi. Thanks for your response. I will try 1.12. But first I have to find it.
I have a QTek S100 and I can't find a ROM for that phone.
But I'll let you know the outcome as soon as I have upgraded.
There's a 1.12 I think in the FTP directory. I got mine from my supplier and its better than 1.11 apart from the GPRS problem which is being discussed in another topic here.
At the moment I am hard resetting my QTEK S100 with 1.12 installed and not installing the external ROMs. Hopefully this will work as one of the other guys on the forum has done this and has no GPRS problems.
Good luck

There are some versions (for example WWE_11200_120_11200) on the FTP server, but they say that I have a wrong country ID. And I don't like to use the complicated installation method (using MaUpgradeUt.exe).
Good luck with your installation.
1.12 fixed the problem. I friend uses 1.06 and he doesn't have this problem. So, 1.11 seems to be a but buggy
Thanks for your help.
Issues are
1) When using the wired headset shipped with the device, if I answer a call then both the handset mic and the headset mic are active, the only solution I have found is to unplug then reconnect the headset...
2) Sometimes when cold booting the device it immediately says no networks, the only way I have found round this is to switch to flight mode, then back out again
3) Orange world downloads - site claims it can't identify my phone model, orange assure me this will be fixed within 2 weeks of the phone activation, do I believe them?
Anyone else experiencing similar issues?
There are two orange uk aps. orangeinternet and orangewap. Only one allows you to access the orange specific services. I think I use the other one however....
I've had the issue with the phone not switching back on after soft resets too
Tis a pain... Eventually I'll get a call on my work mobile as friends can't get me on the other
I think it's worth checking every time...
Hi all,
I've searched but not found this problem posted elsewhere, sorry if it has.
My HD2 on O2 has started sometimes sending incoming call straight to "voicemail" or "unavailable" when there's a perfectly good signal available.
There's no sign that there's an incoming call, the first thing I know is when I get a txt from O2 notifying a voicemail.
My settings are:
"Forward all incoming phone calls" - unticked
"Forward phone calls only if":
No answer (voicemail number)
"Forward after" - 30 seconds
Unavailable (Network unavailable number)
Busy - Unticked
Last night my GF tried to call the phone from next to me on the sofa, my phone was in use with the "Home" tab showing, full HSDPA signal, it didn't ring and went straight to "unavailable".
I called her back, no problem, and then my phone rang the next time she called me.
The same thing has happened tonight, someone called and was directed to voicemail, the phone was right in front of me with a good 3G/HSDPA signal.
Once again, after I made an outgoing call the phone then rang for a new incoming call.
This smells like a similar problem to the "Has my HD2 died or not" thread
Anyone else had this problem?
ROM HTC1.66.405.2 WWE
RADIO 2.06.51.07
I"ve got the same problem here.. does anyone have any suggestions to a possible fix?
Im got the same radio and rom version as well but have also tried cooked roms too.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Mine does the same
Still stock rom from vodafone nl
Rom 1.72.172.0
Radio 2.07.51.22_2
My first port of call would be the telecoms company - to make sure that they haven't messed up your settings.
Personally I called my phone provider (T-Mobile UK) and got them to stop diverting calls to the answer-phone. Calling the answer-phone was outwith my contract 'free minutes'. Since I knew who had called me (by the missed calls) it was easier to call them back at a time I wanted or ignore them.
