Hi there,
i've got a HTC Magician, branded as as O2 XDA Mini and put on it the latest ROM, I got here.
I thougt it was unbranded, but unfortunately, it is a T-Mobile ROM. Now I have an O2 device with T-Mobile Software, which i use with an E-Plus sim.
Since there is no E-Plus ROM for the magician, can I put back the O2 software?
Unfortunately, i did not back up the original ROM before upgrading
Where could I get it? On the O2 sites I only find ROMs for the O2 Mini S Device.
cheers,
Nachtkrapp
u can download from ftp site, tq.
Hi guys, i'm fairly new with my o2 xda exec and was wondering......
1. My device is an o2 xda exec which comes unlocked, if i change my rom to the latest orange rom will it remain unlocked?
2, I have backed up my xda to my memory card using SPB Backup, if i run this exe. file from the memory card, will it just reinstall all my apps/configurations to the orange rom?
3, Can anyone tell me where to find the latest orange uk rom which ships on their device, the M5000, and do you think its better than the o2 rom?
Thanks for any advice given[/b]
1. yes
2. no
3. upgrade = problems
keep Your original rom

Hello world,
Is there already a homezone indicator for O2 Germany available, that supports the TyTN?
regards,
Inquisitor
Figured it out by myself:
install MT_HZ_Hermes_20060620.sa.CAB from the German O2 XDA Trion EXT ROM and there'll be a homezone indicator on your today screen.
Hi inquisitor, can you tell me what a homezone indicator is?.....also is your trion reflashed to an english rom?
In Germany some mobile operators offer tariffs, with which you can call at cheaper rates within a some square-kilometer-area, which O2 calls "homezone". Further when you're in this area, you are reachable at a local number beyond your mobile number. In this way mobile operators try to get marketshare from the fixed line operators.
Most mobile phones indicate homezone-availabilty ex factory, but HTC smartphones don't unless the mentioned files are installed.
Dont worry in other countries/vendors. This is a unique service for o2 Germany customers. If you installed the software on your Trion and your on another Operator you wont see anything at all.
ah i see...thanks

Click to collapse
Can someone upload this cab again?
I would like to try it on a new rom.
Thanks

Hi
A friend of mine has given me an Orange SPV M600 as he's upgraded.
He's had the handset unlocked by Orange, so my O2 sim card works fine in it.
Just wondering how I can debrand the firmware and just have the unbranded factory firmware on it?
And could anyone help me to set it up for use with O2 pay and go GPRS and MMS settings?
Many many thanks!!
Debrand
Hiya,
Debrand meaning you do not want to see the Orange startup screen right? Then you will need to change your ROM to one of the stock ROMs. Please refer to upgrading ROMs section of forum for low down on that. Loads of better ROMs to try from too.
Cheers!
