Hi all,
I am trying to read my mails via bluetooth and via activesync.
I can browse the internet by using the pass through option in the activesync, but I can not check my mails.
Can anybody help me.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Saadi

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if it possible to browse my wifi connected Wizard (O2 mini S - latest O2 ROM) from my PC...
Ie i would like to be able to open window to my documents on my phone on my PC to copy file etc...
Thanks in advance!
Yes, but you will need some third party software, such as Resco Explorer, to 'map' the folders you want to access across the network.
Thanks for your quick reply, however i meant if/how is it possible to browse the files on the wizard from the PC over wifi network, not the other way around.
Cheers
lo thought i would try helping.
if you downgrade your active sync on your pc 2 or 3 releases it supports syncing via wifi.... the newer ones it was disabled on for some daft reason.
it may be enabled on the new beta version i dunno.
anyway if your pc was synced to it you certainly can view the my documents folder. also by bluetooth in any version of active sync, just need a bluetooth dongle for ur comp.
hopw that helps
I don't think you can downgrade with WM5, I believe that you need Active Sync 4.1 and above.
I can't think of a way to browse the PPC on a wireless network which is a good thing for security.
hi, have you tried pocket controller? you can control your ppc from the pc via wifi.

Hi!
Is there a way to connect diamonds internal storage as hard drive via bluetooth? Just the way it does when you connect via USB.
Armin
SOLVED: Use Mocha FTP Server on diamond and connect via netdrive by Wifi - not bluetooth. Then sync with MS Sync Toy is possible.
I haven't done it myself but I suspect if you connect via Active sync (WMDC) over bluetooth you will be able to do this!
Can anyone else comment on this?
UPDATE:
I gave it a shot & the answer is yes. You can connect via Bluetooth+Activesync & open "internal storage" to browse / read & write.
you can also enable bluetooth file sharing under bluetooth pref. then you can select "browse bluetooth" in your computer. btw: bluetooth would be really really slow.
you can search for "network plugin" in this forum and download the cab. This will enable you to share a folder on your phone to the network and basically do the same thing over wifi.
The network plugin sounds interesting
...where can I get the latest version?
Is there a more straightforward way than googling?
To links are from March (Build 29714).

Syncing with Mocha FTP Server?
Unfortunately Network Plugin does not show diamonds folders on my computer. It only works the other way round.
Mocha FTP Server does it.
But Microsoft SyncToy can not sync FTP servers.
Are there alternatives recommended?

Thanks for mentioning that Bluetooth is very slow. So I can skip this.

Hi everyone! When I connected my jade to my pc via usb, i got the usual screen asking me how i want to connect to the pc. Through activesync, internet sharing or disk drive. I chose internet sharing the last time to try this function out. However, the next time i connected via usb, the selection screen did not come out and it automatically went to internet sharing. Each time i connect via usb, this is what happens! Furthermore, i am now unable to sync! I tried going to activesync and pressing sync but to no avail! Could somebody help me please?!? Thank you in advance!!!
Try this...
1) Without connecting to PC.. on PC open ActiveSync. Select File - Delete Mobile Device - Confirm deletion.
2) On Jade, open active sync - options - delete all data
3) Now connect usb and configure connection again.
Hope that works.
Or on your Jade:
Click Start>Settings>Connections>USB to PC...
Make sure that the checkbox at the bottom of the screen is checked.. That way it will always ask you what mode you want when connecting the device to USB...
HTH!

Thanks izzyzc but it was checked at the time that's why i was puzzled as to when i connected it would go straight to the internet sharing screen instead of giving me a choice.

I can confirm having this problem as well on the stock rom; sometimes internet connection sharing gets very attached to the USB connection
Have similar problem
Trying to transfer contacts from Outlook 2007 to Contacts in JADE Clone, it synchronizes all data except contacts what is a bit annoying.
Tried to do all mentioned above but no success.
Every time after opening ActiveSync settings, contacts are grey and impossible to mark them for Sync.
Could anybody advice pls?
Type approx 400 contacts again is nightmare.
Thanx

Sometimes it's defaulted to "sync with PC". In Options, try uncheck that on PC contact folders, then check on server contact folders.
I have tried it, but no success.
Later on found (thanx to Google ) and installed Chapura Pocket Mirror Professional 1.0 trial and it went through and whole Outlook has been synchronized.
Now I works even w/o Chapura Pocket Mirror.
