I've lost my original CD that came with O2 XDA II. Is there a site where i could download the drivers for communication PC with XDA through USB Cradle.
are they not a native part of activesync?

You can choose your prefered language.

They are! All you have to do is download Activesync from Microsoft and you are good to go.

I have a T-Mobile Pocket PC phone(more information in my profile). I have a USB and Serial port cable for it as well. Is there anyway I can use my serial or usb cable to connect to the internet on my main computer, but using the connection from my phone. Someone from another forum told me this forum had a solution, but I have no idea what to search for.
Thanks in advance!
The main key is using the Wireless Modem software.
Read this for a long history

Good news: You can also upgrade to the 2003 version of pocketPC
4.01.12 ENG O2euro from
http://lumpistefan.dyndns.org/
which include a WModem too for 2003 version.
Thanks for your help! I almost have it working...I'm just having trouble installing the ROM version.
hii, i bought o2 xda2 in germany but i lost cd's, i need usb driver and software, where and how can i download this driver, please can you help me :? [email protected]
There is no usb driver, just install activesync on your pc then plug in the xda to usb, it will find it and should work right away, you can download activesync for free from this link.

Hi,
Apologies if this is in the wrong forum.
I brought the o2 Xda Mini S yesterday, and have just got round to installing it. I have come up against a problem as I plug in to my pc, as I plug in the usb it does the usual "Found new Hardware" but I cannot locate the driver "Generic RDNIS" does anybody know where I can download this driver????
Thanks in advance,
Ross
do you have activesync installed? normaly activesync installs this driver when a pocketpc with wm5 is connected.

Yeah I do ( 3.8 ), cannot use 4.1 as I need to update my pc to install that, and windows updates ruins some of my applications.
cheers
Hi - I think you we struggle to connect a WM05 PPC if you do not install the latest activsync (4.1). My Mini S would not even connect reliably with the software that came with the device (O2 XDA - the disc has ActivSync 4.0!!!) as soon as I upgraded to 4.1 it's much more relible, not perfect! and certainly not as good a my back up device - HP2210 running WM2003 this device never failed to connect with 3.8.
Sorry but I think you will need to update your PC somehow.
Unless anyone knows a trick to get around this problem. :?
Regards,
Chris.
It won't work with 3.x, you need 4.1 installed.
Hi. Is it possible to connect the xda orbit via usb-cable to a PC/Notebook and give it a regular IP-Adress then? I want to use finchsync (http://www.finchsync.com on Kubuntu Linux) but obviously it cannot find the PDA because it has no IP address
The next question is, if anybody got KMobiletools and the XDA work together -- not via bluetooth but via usb? Possible too?
Thanks!
WhiteRabbit
It's certainly possible because I used to plug mine in the USB for updating QuickGPS. Don't ask me how though...
hiiiiii every body
i have i-mate jasjar
and i lost the CD , SO PLZ I NEED JASJAR DRIVER
may any body give me the driver very soon ????
iam waiting friends
thank you
Hi Anas, what do you mean buy 'driver'. Everything, as far as I know, is accomplished by ActiveSync. Please describe your need better (I have original Orange CD).
The only driver on the CD supplied with the i-mate JASJAR is the USB modem driver. I have attached it here as a ZIP archive. In it you'll also find the PDF with instructions on how to use the driver.
Hope this is what you're looking for.

Then you need Active Sync (Windows 2000/XP) or Mobile Device Center (Vista/7) which are free downloads from Microsoft.
Thank you mr.abubasim

Sorry, I don't have access to the CD myself right now, but I'm wondering if it would be of any help to you as it only contains the following four things:
1. Active Sync 4.0 (will not run under Windows Vista)
2. Microsoft Outlook 2002 (fully licensed and needs a product key)
3. USB Modem Driver
4. Manuals in PDF format.
Active Sync here

(Or perhaps there's others if you're non-english)
