Qtek 2020 how to send a file through bluetooth ? - Networking

Hello , I have paired p900 with my qtek 2020 but i didn't find a menu or a program to send files using BT . How i have to do to send a file via bt to p900 or other devices ?
Thanks .
Alvise

If you open file explorer on your xda2, locate the file you wish to send, tap and hold with stylus, you will see a popup menu showing infrared then the bluetooth device should also appear below that, just tap on the device you wish to send to. Ensure that bluetooth is activated before attempting this.

The problem is that i have only infrared option , i don't know why !!

BT
Goto
Start - Settings - Connections - Beam
and check the
Receive all incoming beams
radio button Bro.

The beam option is not just for infra red, it detects all the bonded BT devices in range. It should pop up on the beam screen the device you want to send to.

bluetooth file transfer needed

hi,
searched thru the forums but cant find an answer anywhere. When i press and hold on a file theres no option to send via bluetooth? So i cant send anything over blutooth only receive. I checked the registry under obex and the value is 1 which i beleive means i can transfer using obex. Could somebody please point me in the right direction to get bluetooth filetransfer to work. Is it just my mini s or is this a known bug?
cheers
Hi try the following
Turn on bluetooth on both devices
In file explorer click and hold the file and select beam file
you will see infrared tap to send and searching
the searching is the bluetooth looking for a device
after a short while the Bluetooth device should appear in the list
Hope this helps

I have tried this on my 8125 to bluetooth to a MDA and i can see the MDA and we even tried pairing the devices but still could not transfer. Every time it fails. The weird part is that the MDA cant see me to beam to my 8125. Any fix's? I tried the OBEX reg hack already.

Hi,
You'll probably need to start bluetooth via the comm manager.
It will find other hardware with open bluetooth ports.
- Go to the file you wish to beam to someone else.
- Tap the file (keep the stylus on it untill you get the menu)
- Choose " send file" (this might be called differently, my version is dutch)
- Select bluetooth.
Good luck!

Hi,
The procedure I gave seems to work properly with my MDA.
You could check if the person you're beaming to has bluetooth (turned on) but I guess you've checked that already.
Otherwise try to minimize the distance between the two pieces of hardware.
If that doesn't solve your problem, I can't help you any further, maybe bring it by the shop where you bought it to have it checked?
Good luck & greetz,

yeah same here never managed to get bluetooth to work
i found that i needed to enable beam recieve in order to recieve on bluetooth, the incoming and outgoing port stuff i left alone.
so i can now receive files but haven't got a clue how to send them, i make a bluetooth partnership ok (my mate can then send me a file) but i can not find the option to send one back. the file explorer menu doesn't have bluetooth listed on it?

I am having this same issue. Anyone know the solution? All I want to do is send some files to my wife's v3 but I cant setup a new outgoing port. I am running the latest official rom from cingular.
You need to ensure you already have bluetooth turned on before starting this procedure (many miss this simple point, as they assume it will automatically turned on)
Tap and hold on the file you want to send, and select "Beam"
Wait a few seconds for it to scan for devices.
All IRDA recipients (If any) will be listed, and below them, all available Bluetooth recipients will be shown.
Hope this helps you m8
I'm using TMobile MDA, newest ROM, and having the same problem, I'm able to recieve bluetooth but there is no option for beaming a file via bluetooth, only IR... and yes, bluetooth is enabled properly and I am properly partnered with a V3...

Make sure both phones are enabled to be "seen" . My friend and I were trying to figure this out the other day, and she has her device set to something like 'make this device invisible' so even though our phones were next to each other, her device wasn't showing up. Once we changed this, both devices were visible.
***However, neither phone was allowing the sending of files to each other thru the bluetooth, and I'm wondering if this has something to do with her having a Sprint Treo 650 w/ Palm OS, and I have Cingular 8125 w/ WM5.... anyone have any answers for this one??***
Thanks in advance.

UNABLE TO RECEIVE FILE VIA BLUETOOTH

Hi all!,
I own a qtek s100, and I can perfectly send files to other devices,
but I can't receive anything from the others. If someone tries to send
me something via BT they'll always get an error connection.
Do I have to make any special configuration?.
Thanks for your help
PAU
You should swith on "Recive all incoming beams" in Setting/Connections/Beam
I tried it but It didn't work anyway,
any ideas??
Sorry,
do you mean the infrared incoming option?.
Do you have to activate it even if you want to receive sth via BT ?
I'll try it later on,
regards,
Eduardo
Yes this option swith on|off beams over IR and BT
You should activate your BT, and make sure that it's ticked in the "Make this device discoverable to other devices", then go to Devices menu and search for new devices.
IR and BT has got nothing to do with eachother
IR is light, and the devices have to "see" eachother ( IR-eye to IR-eye), BT is radio-waves, and devices don't have to "see" eachother, the range is app 8 meters...
.
U should try one of the bluetooth drivers you can find on this forum. I had the same problems with some samsung phones. I installed one of the bluetooth drivers and i had no more problems with sending and receiving files.
for example this one:

Vodafone 1605 Bluetooth file transfer question

I have the Vodafone 1605/Compact III
Even though the manual says flie transfer is possible from the device, the "beam" option only allows for infrared, then tapping and holding "send" only allows for MMS or Email. I canot find how to send files such as photos via Bluetooth on the 1605, can anyone help?
Have you got bluetooth turned on? When another BT device is nearby you should see the option to send via bluetooth.
Hi,
For my experience you can tap and send file via irda....then in the beam screen you will see the other bluetooth devices....
I have problems in order to receive the files, did you try?
Ciao.

disadvantage feature discovered

Hi everyone,
Just notice the File explorer is unable to send file through bluetooth.....there is no option to select at all, no matter with bluetooth turn on or turn off.
Is this just me or......
look for a Bluetooth Explorer CAB
or use VP3G's WM6
beam sends via bluetooth if everything is on. discoverable n all. searching turns into device so n so then bluetooth beam me up.
confusing but true
hur...... why Microsoft just always miss something in >.<
