Latest from o2 is that the WM2003 upgrade for UK XDA1 is still, yes still, undergoing testing. It's got 2 be brilliant when released after all this testing!
If u want to put some pressure on send an email to:- [email protected]
I reckon if they get a few hundred emails they'll get their finger out just for some peace and quiet - so go on give it go.
confirm
can anyone confirm this one ?
this is awesome if we are still in the books for new releases.
Where did you obtain this info "Latest from o2 ..."???
I sent O2 a mail back in March, but they replied;
"Thank you for your query
At present there are no dates as yet to introduce WM2003 for the XDA1. This may well come, but we have not been informed.
Sorry we cannot advise further. "
I will send them another to see if anything has changed...

Here's a note from Customer Services I received today.
Hello xxxxxx (name removed to protect privacy)
Thanks for your email about the ROM upgrade for the MDA Compact.
I've checked with our technical department, and we don't have a date scheduled for an upgrade yet. The reason is that we're looking at offering the Blackberry service on the MDA Compact, and if this is successful both upgrades will go ahead at the same time.
The best thing to do in the meantime is to keep checking our website, and as soon as any more information is available, it'll be on there.
Thanks again for your email, and I hope the information I've given you is helpful.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to reply to this email, or contact us from our website.
Kind regards
xxxxxxxx (name removed to protect privacy)

http://www.manuals.t-mobile.co.uk/start.asp?manual=1065
Thanks for that.. I couldn't find it. So I sent an email to Tmobile and they said they couldn't find it either.. and that i should look at the mdaIII manual instead!
Sigh
I have a jasjar and it would be a great thing to have the ability to send and receive faxes on the go. Is there any software out there that can do this seems such a shame that this wasnt included
Chris
I think I read somewhere that it's going to be included with a future ROM update? Of course that doesn't help at the moment, and may be pure speculation anyway. But for now, I don't think there are any JasJar-friendly Fax programs.
You can get free fax-email services if you Google them though...
Try using this
I have heard that i-mate have said that FAX software will be included in a later version of the ROM but I can't find any definite proof of that. The FAQ on the i-mate site says that FAX software is not available for the JasJar yet.
This is for the ppc 2003 edition only...
Doesn't work with my exec...on wm5
same version from their website 2.09
wondering any one has the update on the program?
or any news?
regards

this is what i wrote to her and her response....
Hi Deepak,
You are right about the upgrade process. We are going to make it simpler for people to do this in December.
I have sent you the new beta 2 of Photo Contacts PRO 4.0 in a separate email. The new version that supports WM5 will be released next week.
Best Regards,
Lisa

Yes lisa….i did read and respond in many forums wiz xda developers, howards, modaco and beyondtech and everyone is desperately waiting to use photo contacts…please send me your beta version and I shall respond for any bugs etc….
Also your site and handango still says loud and clear that this software supports all windows mobile platforms…quite confusing for even me…I check your website and same there too….then u say upgrade…then to redownload enter details…took me to handango…entered all details to get to my regular download page…where it said, too many times I have downloaded this software so enter card number again(though this is a handango feature still informing u of the trouble a person takes),post which download starts, in a millisecond download is over….there to find a small note saying mail to get download…for a new person to emailing and internet this would be one of the most frustrating moments…I took 30 min to finally get this info that I have to send u a mail…
Well all good that ends good…your product is great so all cool but the experience for the upgrade must be a little better for a consumer (my thought)

Hi!
I've spoke to Assistant Manager in o2 store and he said:

Thanks
Nasdaq
I'll go to this shop on Sunday and will try to get copy of this email...
There is nothing what I can confirm or promise
Cheers!
Could that be the Atom Exec?
I had forgotten MMSLite was finishing in March...
I foudn out painfully last night while I was in a party and could not send or recieve any MMS
Does anybody know if there is any release working after March ? I do not mind paying if I have to, but I cannot find the website where I shall subscribe
Not that I am that much into MMS in genreal but in Japan where SMS are not compatible accross carriers it s just the only way to go...
Please can anybody help ?
I still can use MMSLite, build 265. See last post of this thread...
Anyway HTC Japan promised to release official MMS application for SoftBank on March 18th, check their news...
"SoftBank X01HT S!メール(MMS)・SMSの送受信可能アプリケーション「SoftBankメール」を2007年3月16日より提供開始。" or "SoftBank X01HT application for sending and receiving S-Mail (MMS) and SMS (SoftBank Mail) will be released from March 16th." I wonder if they will support emoticons...

Thanks a lot ! Great news !
Yes emoticons would be great (But... I kind of doubt it. We'll see)
The built 265 is working, again thanks for your help
Btw would be great if we could get CrossBow for the X01HT (Upgrading will always end up with the password problem for illimited internet ). NOt sure we ll ever see that...

Have you found it ? Couldn't get it on the website today (Though it's 16th...)
i just downloaded it (according to the softbank site, download rates are free - so you guys better check your bill at the end of the month -- its a 2.9MB file)...
and it does support emoticons!!!
unfortunately, the app is damn SUPER SLOW...!!!
Emoticon support seems partial, but most of them work. MMS is really slow, and their application works like crap... For example to get a recipient address into a new MMS one need to navigate through menus for too many steps...
I wish MMSLite survives...
only gotten my X01HT a few days back, there is not much i can say yet about MMSLite, but i would definitely agree with you that the new app is definite crap!!!
Willcom's own app is much easier to use; on the other hand Willcom (and Sharp along with it) rarely provide updates to their softwares.

Problem is MMSLite doesnt work under WM6
I guess the only way to go in such a case must be the good old way before MMSLite (MMS Composer + MMSRelauncher + tweaking the connection)
Here is an english translation of MMSLite Build 303.
It works fine under WM6.1 and WM6.5, I use it daily.
More info about how to use HTC phones with Softbank in Japan can be found on my website.
