I used "Data Backup" v3.10 by High Tech to do a complete backup.
When I go to restore I get the following error message:
'Storage Card' is removed or is read-only.
I put the microSD card in my computer and unchecked all properties for the file but I still get the same error message.
I’ve tried the following:
Soft reset
Rename and relocate the file
Transferred backup file to another storage card
Reinstalled HTC Backup
Still get the same error.
I’ve got over 30MB of data on that file.
PLEASE !!! can someone help me?
Charlie
I have downloaded a nand androuid build that I am 99% happy with. I do however want to change a couple of things on the build.
I have downloaed and got ubutu up and running on a virtual box. I have then copied the system.img file on to a usb drive and copied it into ubuntu. Location of the file is in stephen which is my logon name.
I have also created a folder called mount which I want to mount the img file to.
I have done this before in ubuntu using ext2 files but I can not get the mount command to work for an img file. Is there an way to mount the img file, remove the files I do not want and then comple a newer smaller img file?
EDIT: logged on as root and moved the system.img and mount folder to main file system folder. Ran command mount -t img /system.img /mount but now getting error unknown filesystem type 'img'
Any help would be appreciated.
Hi All. about 3 days trying to install to wildfire rom. gold card I did. I've downloaded too many RUU says all incorrect or customer ID error.

trying to install custom roms e: can not open / sdcard / update.zip (No such file or directory) error. Before i install custom roms, replace the device's 512 MB card to with 4 GB card its a real problem. Applanet installed. i downloaded rom manager to try with it, package installer says the problem occurred while parsing package device asking adjust time after every boot, When I try to install anything from memory card, with clockwork recovery gives error (Status 0), Pls help.
Desperately need help. I bricked my acer while trying to install itsmagic.
Now I get yellow Asterix with Droid image in recovery mode.
I downloaded multiple update.zip files from various threads and used "apply: sdcard:update.zip" from android system recovery utility.
I always get "E: can't open /sdcard/update.zip"
me being stupid did not note down the Image I had on it before bricking it.
Is there a way to unbrick?
i do not think your tablet is bricked.go to thores full roms thread in dev. Download the correct rom for your area.put your SD card in a android phone format it put the file on your SD card put back in tablet and flash it.
If you did all of this and have a 3.2 rom on your device the above will likely not work.
Good luck
Thank you for the reply
I downloaded one of the full images, renamed them as update.zip and tried to apply from Android System Recovery Utility.
I get the same messages I got earlier
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
E: Can't open /sdcard/update.zip
(No such file or directory)
Installation aborted.
I erase all data using my nexus one and then in disc mode I copy the update.zip.
I bought this in US. Could you please suggest me an image I could try?

Reformat your card and that should work
Thank you for the response. I was using a 4GB microSD and now I switched to 2GB.
Could you please point me to ROM Image for US region?
Hi so I recently tried to mount a .img disc image file and it said that it was corrupt so I downloaded another 15 or so disc image files and apparently all of them are corrupt. I then downloaded something that would allow me to convert thee into an iso file but it is unable to, so obviously not all of them can be corrupt. So I was wondering if there was anyone who could help me?
