Keyboard at top of screen - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 General

Do excuse me if I'm being daft, but whenever I go to type something, the keyboard has now moved to hte top of my screen, covering whatever's beneath it and stopping me from carrying on as normal.
I did a search on the forum for similar but found nothing, any ideas how to fix this anyone?
Thanks,
James

8125: Sticky Buttons [help]

well, the send button and the left softkey button appear to both be sticking and driving me crazy.
i was wondering if there is a good way i can clean it out? im thinking maybe something spilled and got inbetween the button and the housing...
anyone have any suggestions?
Well, just take a look and see if there are anything in the gap in between these two buttons. If not, probably you want to open it up and check out whats the problem? a few good links

Touchscreen issues

I'm having some weird issues with my touch screen. I'm using the Touch Keyboard input method so I can use my thumbs for typing instead of using the stylus all the time.
Very frequently, when i use my thumbs to push buttons near the bottom middle or bottom left of the screen, the start menu auto pops up! It is absolutely driving me mad! I tried to recalibrate the screen, doesn't help. I tried to take off the screen protector and try again, no difference.
Has anyone else has this happen?
Hi,
Yes, it's a common Problem with the Trintiy.
But be happy, that you don't have these Problems.
I have heard, that there are Problems, when the device heats up and the casing pushes on the top-left corner. But with my Trin it only occurs, when I'm tiping something and push a little bit to hard in the middle of the screen. But it doesn't disturb me too badly, as long as it won't get worse.

So it's more of a design issue than anything else? Damnit! I was hoping there'd be some sort of fix or that it was just my phone that was defective somehow.
Sigh, I've never noticed this problem until I started using the soft part of my fingers to type.
Anyways, thanks for your reply.

Special "screen alignement" issue

Hello everyone,
I have a problem on my phone. It is not very bad but still I would like to now if someone else experienced it. So, maybe 1 times out of 3 on power on, a little band of the bottom of my screen is seen on the top of the screen. As soon as I switch on my phone, I can see that the red text with rom version is cut on its bottom, and I see some red things at the top of the screen. I thought it was the so called "screen alignement" issue, but it appears it is not the same at all (but still, I think that I may have a very little SA issue, barely noticeable). As I said it is not very annoying (like 2 mm of screen is involved), but in landscape mode, my scrolling bar is difficult to use (maybe half of it disappear).
So if anyone else has the same problem, or some explanation, he is welcome!
Thank you
Toni
Sorry for the double post, but I think I maybe found an answer in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=321163
Everything is related to the connector of the screen. HTC can suck so much on some details like this... As I also have the d-pad problem, I think it must be that. Difficult to find the link at first sight!

Keyboard not working right

Sorry guys, i found a similar thread on here about this right after typing this. He didn't have any luck fixing it.
I replaced my screen yesterday and now my keyboard is partially working. I say "partially" because only the: "e" "o" "f" "h" "c" "n" "shift/cap" (the light/indicator wont turn on when i press it?) "up arrow" "enter" "alt" (same thing as shift/cap) "Tab" and "left arrow" keys work. Can you guys give me some advice or point me in the right direction?
I have the same problem Any luck? I am lost.
i would try making sure the cable to in all the way i had that issue before
The ribbon is in and doesnt move. However, the black clip you flip up that secures it in place was missing. still no luck, I am wondering if that clip clamps it down for a more secure connection, in that case I will need a new motherboard?
WOW i have the exact same problem...I replaced the screen and its fine but only a few keys work...i pushed the ribbon all the way in a bunch of times and every time i get a different result..it might become loose when I put the phone back together....
If you guys havent gotten rid of your Wings yet...I found the fix for this...
Dont push the ribbon all the way in, the connectors are not that far away, there should be a black line on the ribbon, make sure the line is at least 1cm away from the clamp but that it doesnt fall out...

[Q] B7610 - keyboard problem

Hi all,
When closing the keyboard on my B7610, the top slides in about 1mm to far. So in a closed position the two halves of the phone don't match.
I hadn't dropped it or anything, it just happened at a certain moment.
Sliding still feels as new and opening it completely looks fine as well.
Anyone had the same problem?
Is there someone who knows how this sliding mechanism works and if it is doable to open it to fix this?
Thanks a lot,
Jan
if you slide open the keyboard and take a close look at the backside of the screen, you'll see two small grooves. I just noticed those two grooves end at the top with a little stop of 1mm. Maybe those little stops are lost in your device? maybe you can put some very small plastic in it to make the keyboard stop at the correct place...
That was indeed the problem!
I found a "service manual" for my B7610 on rapidshare, including a disassembly guide. So I dismantled my Samsung and indeed... when taking off the slider a small 1mm black piece fell out.
This fitted indeed in the left rail, so I glued it back in.
All fixed!! My Samsung looks as new again.
Thank you very much!
Can you share this doc?
