:?: Does anyone know if there is a button mapping utility that will allow mapping of the volume up/down slider (e.g. for scroll up/down) in addition to standard buttons?
:?: Using Vito Button Mapper, assigning the record function to a button only switches to Notes when pressed and doesn't start recording. why is this?
:?: Is it possible to change the camera batten so it switches the unit on when pressed?
thanks

Try SPB PocketPlus 2.0, there you'll find these options.

I am a user of SPB PocketPlus but I am not aware of capabilities that allow mapping the volume buttons or any other button for that matter. Can you kindly hilight how this is achieved SPB PocketPlus? Thanks in advance. Regards

Does anybody know how to change the prog. function keys in the today screen?
Instead of telephone I'd rather like to lock the device (left funct key).
The telephone I already have by pressing the green telephone button.
Kind regards

hi !
I use a combinaison of AE Buttons to remap hw buttons and VJDeviceLock (thanks to Vijay555 ) to create an accessible shortcut to the wm5 today key lock plugin.
So I can lock the trinity by pressing and holding 1sec the left app button.
Thanks for that fast answer.
But what do you mean by AE Buttons?
And where is this today key lock plugin to find?
JEKAL
Hi
Look for AE Buttons Plus : http://ae.inc.ru/aebplus.php
This application (unfortunatly not freeware but only $8) allows you to re-assign any buttons of your trinity according to simple, double action, short or long pressing... A must have for me.
Then Vijay555 released a freeware (but I definitly should donate) that can be launched by AEB+ on a specific button (long press on the left application button for me) and which calls the today plugin to lock the keys : http://www.vijay555.com/?Releases:VJDeviceLock.
This Device Lock today plugin is installed by default on wm5 units, but only accessible on the today screen with a small icon, and not really useable without the stylus...
VJDeviceLock (and Yet Another Device Lock) don't use the Today plugin item, so the item can be disabled, saving screen space.
If you read the info on the VJKeyPress page, you'll see that there's another way to achieve the same result.

Seems to be a nice app! Is it possible to reprogram the "ok"-button below the wheel as well?
Hi all
Have been looking around but have not seen any talking about "AE Button Plus".
I really must recommend you to tjeck it.
http://ae.inc.ru/aebplus.php
From site:
"This utility extends functionality of hardware keys on Windows Mobile devices. It allows you to:
intercept almost any standard button: application buttons, WM5 SoftKeys, Volume slider, Action and even Red/Green phone buttons
distinguish up to 4 different keypress events on each button grabbed (single, double, triple and "long" keypresses).
remap each of the keypress events to "virtual" application button or assign them directly to one of the wide set of built-in actions.
As a result you may "convert" volume slider to up/down arrows, assign several essential application buttons to these "SoftKey" buttons and even assign your favorit alternative dialer to red/green phone buttons."
----------------------
In other words: It lets me have FOUR different actions on each button on the phone. For me that means I can control all my favourite apps from the two SoftKeys - and even turn on/off WIFI in WM6.
It is by my best controle gadget program for my PPC...and I think others should take a test, because you will see that it will rethink your way of control...

Not your fault. The search facility on the site does not accept words with less than three letters - so AE is not found.
However I have added a sticky post above so you can google search. I also agree AE Button is a very useful application.
Cheers

anyone tried spb screenshot? can u assign X1 hardware button to do the job? I can't assign a button here any idea? any good alternative?
Hi there!
Anyone know of a way to map the panels button to the start menu, without the use of software like AE Button? Perhaps a registry change? Because AE Button comes also with a task manager and stuff which I don't want.
Thanks!
