Hi, sorry I did not explain it clearly, It's not about the MMS capture video problem.
I want to send a MMS to a friend by using my Mini, the MMS is about 400K and when I send it, it said the size is too big and ask to change the setting. However in the MMS setting the biggest size it allow to set is 250K so I want to know is there a way to change it. Thanks!!
Anyone can help?
bumpity bump
Here in the UK all the networks have a limit of 300k on their servers, so its not the phone thats restricting.
acrosoft mms 2.5.0.28
with acrosoft mms 2.5.0.28 you can set the mms size to 300k.

Click to collapse
i think MMS size limit is not just controlled by the mms composer but also by your network.. so even if you can compose an mms with a 200kb+ size you cant send it coz your network will not alow you to send mms beyond the limit size..
All German networks now support 300 KBytes.
Also some private MMS Servers also accept 1 Mbytes and more.
So where can I change the size limit inside MMS Composer
to more than 200 Kbytes ?
Thanks.
Regards, Stefan.
Registry hack
Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ArcSoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\UI\SizeLimit] with your favorite registry editor and edit one of the SendLimit values.
Many thanks. I am trying it out now.
The size limit is now displayed changed.
Many thanks.

Hi,
a new MMS with a 241 Kbytes Video went through,
but not a MMS with a 297 Kbytes video...
Why ?
Is it already bigger than the 300 Kbytes limit ?
Thanks.
Regards, Harti.
As earlier stated the MMS sixe is limited by your carrier (well at leaset mine is).
Go to Messaging and select your MMS account.
Then go Tools>MMS Configuration
Click the Servers Tap and tap on your account provider (mines Telstra)
Now on that page you will see a "Sending size limitation" Change it the the highest you have (mines 250K)
So i'm guessing as yours 294K it might not send if your carrier only goes to 250K.
Hi,
I am trying again with the normal O2 MMS server to send it,
but it also refuses to send it.
earlier I tried the free mmstt.de MMS server from a friend on the Internet,
where you can send free MMS to email addresses.
So it seems the O2 WAP APN proxy
wap.viaginterkom.de
is limiting the file size also to around 250 Kbytes.

Resolving MMS size & attachment type limitations

I discovered that my Universal isn't able to send MMS more than 100 kb of size. It's frustratring because with the same SIM and carrier and my old SonyEricsson P800 I could send MMS over 2 MB!!!
Another limitation that I found was the attachment types of MMS; why can't I send any type of file with it? It is useful when you send - for instance - a ZIP file attached to an MMS sent to an email address: with Universal you can't!!!
under:
HKLM\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config
there are some settings like RecvDefault & SendDefault or SendLimit1, 2 & 3, however I tried changins something but I was able only to send 150 kb at maximum. If I try to send a video of 300 kb I receive an error and the message stay on Out box without being sent.
Anyone has a trick to bypass these limitations (which work ;-)?

mms receive size

Looking for some advice/guidance. I have successfully unlocked 2 orange spv m600 and set one up for O2 and the other for Vodafone. When I send mms to each phone they receive no problem through gprs. GPRS internet also works fine. However, the size of the (identical) picture received on each is different. On O2 the received picture is 5k and is a small square in the centre of the screen which is barely readable, whilst on Vodafone the very same picture is 29k and full screen size. I am sending the same MMS message and picture from the UK 3 network. Have looked in all of the settings, including mms receive (set to original on both).
Can anybody point me in the right direction? Do I need to tweak something else (registry?).
As I'm asking questions - another relating to mms - sending size is limited to 100k, is there a way of automatically resizing pictures that are larger than this as I always get the message "image is too large......" if I try to append a picture I have taken. Is tehre a sofware solution or a setting I can tweak.
Cheers,
M
