I tried 0000 but doesnt work, mean I must type in nothing, so it works at XP .
But botton for pairing on PDA is enabled if I type in nothing .
Is there a solution ?
I dont wil the mousr work on PDA, only the mousr buttons.
Dont knoe if this is possible, but 1st I must pair it.

Did you download the patch posted in the earlier text.? The number contained within a bluetooth hardware item cannot be changed as it is contained within the hardware/firmware.

i dl the patch. and it works to give in alphanumeric pin.
but i think device has no pin (HID) .
but on MDA2 the button for pairing ( the right one on the sire where u give in OIn ) is enabled if there is no PIN given in.
thats my problem now. How to pair without a PIN.

How do I find the Bluetooth authorization code for Jam

I have had my jam for over a year. I am not sure if initially i set up a auth code for bluetooth. I have recently purchased a blutooth adapter for my laptop and would like to be able to run active sync via bluetooth. I have tried all of y usual codes and no code at all and have had no luck. Please help.
Thank you.
had the sam problem with a gps reciever. When it asks for a pass code press cancel. It works evry time for me
What are the "usual" codes that you have tried? I assume "0000" was one of them?
I hae tried all of usual 0000, 12345 and any code that I would usually create. I have also tried to cancal out of the message and it cancels the pairing.
Anyone have any other ideas?
Have you tried 9999? That's what I used as default when pairing to a Nokia using an FTP profile.
Also try 1111 and 8888
unless i mis-understand the problem,
you select the code you want to use for both items eg 1234 at both ends,
so you type the code at one end, then type the same code at the other to pair them.
the only items that normaly have a preset code that i know of are bt gps receivers and bt headsets.
Yes that is the way that I also originally uunderstood it. I typed the code I wanted on one and then the same code on another. Still didn't work. Oh well... i will just take the bluetooth adapter back and stick with the sync cable.
Thank you all for your help.
Before returning your BT Adaptor back, you may want to check if the adaptor itself has a default code that you would need to input in your magician when asked for it.

Unlock Prophet +4 of them +getting gps to work

Hello there, I have just brought 4 of these from a taxi company who have gone bankrupt they come with a mercury bluetooth crade and a wired gps receiver UT-41(i believe). I have tried unlocking one using software and all goes well everything copies but when its suppossed to give me a code but says code is your code. SO when asked for the network unlock code I dont know what to type in? Do I need an orange simcard in there at the time of unlocking?
The next problem is that the bluetooth cradles have a password to pair them and I do not know what this is. I beleive the whole system may come from MERCURY. Does anybody know of how I can get the bluetooth code for this device(mercury m600 bluetooth cradle) or how I can bypass the password to use the gps receiver. I can provide pictures if whom requests.
Please get back ASAP

ASAP?
When you SIM unlocked the devices you should also be provided with the unlock code
concerning the BT Headsets, mostly it's just 0000 or 1234.
ASAP enough?
No, the phones are locked to orange I am trying to unlock them, with lokiwix(i think its called that) but it says code is your code.
ANd there not headsets it is a bluetooth cradle which you put the prophet in and then you pair them up but I dont have the password. Then the wired gprs receiver plugs into the cradle via like a telephone port socket
interested
If you get stuck I'll take one of them off you for £50 inclusive. Its all I've got to my name but i thought at least i would offer.
lol, I brought them for that much mate.
Just to let you know I have unlocked them all now, But the problem with the bluetooth cradles still persist, help will be appreciated
Right I heard there is a process called Bluetooth Cracking/Eaves Dropping
This process sounds good for what I need to do.
I need to connect and pair up a bluetooth device(being the bluetooth cradle) in which the gps connects to for it to recieve the satellites.
But I dont know the password so I need to pair and connect the devices without using the password?
So how do I do this
@attitude
Can you please tell me how you unlocked the handsets. I acquired one of these a few days ago and have exactly the same problem - "unlock code is your code" using lokiwiz03. Tried it twice without success.
Best regards
Yeh all of the files within the util folder, copy them to your pda (my documents folder) via active sync or what ever you use. From this, on the pda run the file 'CERT_SPCS.cab' it will then ask you to install it, just click yes and install the program. Next, again from the PDA, click 'EnablerRapi.cab' (not the .bat file, but the .cab it should say next to it in file explorer summet lik 76KBs) and let this install aswell. After this has been done ony your pda, go back to the computer connect it up via active sync and wait for it to synchronise. From this, then go and run the 'LokwizMSL.bat' it will go through everything this time with the files succesfully coppied and will give you your unlock code. (note this down or leave it on the screen)
Take the battery out of prophet and insert your simcard that is not available on the network, enter your pin as normal if you have one, it will then ask for an unlock code, enter the code that 'LokWizMSL.bat' produced. then click unlock at the bottom, it wont unlock it first try and the screen will just appear again, type the code in again click unlock and it will go to the today screen and search for your network. It may take a while to find depends on network. Then voila it will be unlocked
Let me know how you get on though mate
@attitude
Many thanks for quick reply and clear instructions. All unlocked and working.
Best regards
hi
I know that this thread is very old, however I thought it's worth updating
If any one is having problems with finding password for MERCURY car holder + Bluetooth receiver (UT-41) for spv m600 / htc prophet etc then:
DO NOT try to pair it via windows on your HTC
just connect all wires,
turn cradle on (plug it into lighter socket)
find and install GpsGatePPC.ARM.CAB on your device
and connect with GPS receiver via above programm
it does not ask for any password !
works like a charm

So how do I do this
There should have an instruction on how to connect your GPS unit (bluetooth) with other devices (e.g. button to press etc and the password to use, e.g. 0000 or 1234). Read the manual.
Yes I do not have the manuals I brought 4 prophits with the gps receivers of a company and I do not have the password to connect/pair them up so I need somebody to tell me how to bluetooth hack(or something of the sort) to make a connection with them/pair them to use the gps
First of all, it is technically difficult to get the password of a bluetooth connection without the device making connections and transfering data. If I'm not mistaken, getting the 'password' out of a bluetooth connection, you will need the device to be sending signal among each other. While enough package (data) have been captured, you can then 'guess' the pin out of the large quantity of data. That is possible if you have the appropriate hardware (not your phone) and software.
Secondly, as the bluetooth device is paired (or worse still, un-paired) to another device, you need intensive hack to your phone to spoof as the bluetooth that it is not (e.g. trying to pretend to be another bluetooth device), which I'm not sure is feasibly do-able (if not impossible).
Finally, as I've mentioned above, rather than spending time on trying to do the near impossible, try to look for this manual. And, there shoudnt be that many buttons on the GPS unit that, with a certain amount of trial and error, you ought to be able to make it into pairing mode and try guessing the PIN from there. The default PIN for such `unnecessary to be secure` device are usually the commons one like 1234, 1111, and 0000.
Yes But I brought them without the manual. The make is Mercury but can find any information about them on the internet and ive tried all the normal codes such as 0000, 1111, 1234, 1166, 1616, 6611 etc

I.Tech Clip D-radio pairing

I cannot get this thing to pair with the HD. the pass code of 0000 is not accepted. No pass code works on the first part but then the second part it will not allow me to leave the the pass code field blank. It fails every time.
Does anyone else use the I.Tech Clip D and how did you get it to pair?
I am using Dutty's 3.4 ROM on a Telestra 8285.

Use pairing code 8888
Go through the user manual of your BT headset.
It will have some options for A2DP pairing - e.g. Press and Hold a button till indicator light changes (e.g Jabra has this). Now with the BT headset in A2DP pairing mode, pair it with your HD.
(First delete(clear) all pairing from your headset and also HD if above still doesn't work)

That's what I did for the Clip R35, but the manual said default code was '0000'. The real default code was '8888'...

watch for external gps com port reservation!
I searched the forum because i thought i have forgotten the passcode but after various attempts with 0000 and 8888 i found out that was the external gps reservation of com port 6,7. Set external gps com port to none fixed the problem ant d-radio is now connected.
Hope this helps someone.

Can't connect Bluetooth GPS Receiver

Hello
unfortunatly the search didn't work for me to find a solution (maybe anybody can help me..)
i simply want to pair my Universal with my bluetooth gps receiver.
in settings/connections/bluetooth i added a new device.
it took a while, then it found my gps receiver and asked me for passkey. i used "1234" - but i am unsure, if that was the right key (i'm 80% sure..)
after that i got a new entry in the list of the avaible devices.
so far so good... BUT:
the gps receiver only appers as "disconnected". when i want to "connect" to it, it says "Your device did not connect with GP-700. The connection failed or the passcode is incorrect."
maybe the passcode is incorrect, ok. but i can't insert a new passkey, because it won't ask me for new entry after searching for new devices. i also can't delete the gps receiver entry.
I checked the box in "select services to use from this device. Serial Port". is that correct?
...hmmm it has to be so simple but i can't pair... gr......
please help me
nobody knows an answer...? ;((
hi, we maybe able to help but need more info as i would for sure. what rom are you using? and possibly what radio version? i use a bt gps with mine and passcode is 1234. not sure if thats the case for all though. depending on the rom im using mine shows as disconnected sometimes but i also have to create a valid com port to use with it. hope that helps.
Also what program are you using with you BT device? Mine pairs with '0000'.
If I use Route66, I don't even need to pair it.
When using iGo8, I do pair it.
When using Google Maps, I also need to add a COM port (I use 1 as some programs can't use 0 - eg, MemoryMaps).
Hey, thanks for answering my question.
i am using Tomal v8.90 (light). My radio version is (after unlocking) 0.00.00. Should i flash it back to 1.18? do i have disadvantages?
i wanted to use tomtom..
hope these information helps
I think there's your problem. I'd flash either 1.15 or 1.18 radio.
hm... anybody can help me..?

Flash an updated radio...1.15
i flashed to 1.15 succesfully.
i found out, that 1234 for my device is the right passkey.
i connected in connections/bluetooth to my device (like i wrote above) and it says "connection successful". after that my device is listed under "disconnected" again. furthermore i can't connect to it, when i click on "connect" in the settings. i can't connect to it in tomtom, too...
when i click on the device (listed under connection-settings in "disconnected") the partnership settings will be displayed. here i can select services to use from device. it provide me a list with one item to check: "serial port". but even if i check or if not, it wouldn't affect anything(?). i simply can't connect to my device...
hey,
i solved that problem. i choosed "the right" com port to use the receiver.
thats a little weird, cus i already choosed some random com ports before and it never worked for me. unfortunately i didn't get some useful error messages or something from tomtom or other programs. now i tried a different port again and suddenly it worked...
sorry for the trivial problem and thank you very much for helping me.
btw: the device is still listed as "disconnected" in settings. who the **** cares...
i have the tomtom gps mkii sirf III and i don't get it paired or manually connected either, but then, when i installed the tomtom software, i found out, that it does not need to be paired in the windows settings first. ok, you might say, this is a coincidence, because tomtom works fine with their own hardware, of course. but no! in my settings there is also an "external gps" point, and all you need to do is put in a proper port and speed and it'll work. the easiest test for that would be google maps. in the beginning i also worried about pairing and connecting, but i found that i didn't have to do that.
