Help Connecting To Company VPN W/MDA II - Networking

I am trying to view Outlook live via my company VPN, but I am clueless how to set up on My MDA II. Can anyone here help?
My IT dept. does not support "wireless" so they will not assist.
My company uses Cicso Systems VPN Client on my laptop. To finalize logging in, Cisco uses a key card that has a constantly changing 6 digit password to enter (RSA SecurID).
The connection status tab gives me the following data:
Client IP Address: _ _ . _ _ _ . _ _ . _ _
Server IP Address: _ _ _ . _ _ _ . _ _ _ . _ _
Encryption: 168 bit 3-DES
Authentication: HMA_-_ _ _
Transparent Tunneling: Active
Tunnel Port: UDP _ _ _ _ _
Compression: None
Local LAN access: Disabled
Personal Firewall: NetworkICE BlackICE Defender
Firewall Policy: Are you there? (AYT)

I presume in some way, shape/fashion I need to take the above data and insert it in the requested slots in my MDA II. That is where I need your help.
Please help me fill in these blanks on my MDA II My VPN settings:
Host Name/IP:
VPN Type: (choose either IPSec/L2TP or PPTP
If I choose IPSec/L2TP, I then need to select whether I use a "certificate on this device" or "a pre-shared key" (then asks for key #).
If I select PPTP, I then bypass the above step.
Then it asks for user name and password. Followed by domain if provided.
If I select PPTP, I then bypass the above step.
If all the correct data is then entered into my MDA II, would I just open my "Inbox" to see mail on my company server?
Could I access on either Wi-Fi or GPRS?

Problem with GPRS with Orange NL

Hey all,
I'm trying to get GPRS working on my XDA II (Qtek rom).
I made a new (modem) connection.
name: Orange world
modem: Cellular Line (GPRS)
Access point name: internet (as provided by Orange NL)
No username, password or domain
No ip
Pri Dns: 10.250.255.188
Sec Dns: 10.250.255.188 (as provided by Orange NL)
Finish
Press the antenna and tap on : connect to GPRS.
It connects and I get the same arrows when active syncing.
But when I open an Internet page or try to logon MSN it wont work...
Anyone an idea?
cheers
Are you sure you spelled 'internet' no capitals at the acces point name?
You could try to choose server assigned Ip address.
Another thing you could check is: settings> connections > Gprs setting> PAP authentication and class 10.
Yes I spelled internet, lowercase
Rudegar told me to only use the access point and not the DNS servers.
And it works!
Thanks
The GPRS Settings:
do they need to be: PAP or CHAP authentication?
do they need to be: Class 8 or Class 10
and whats the difference between them?
i've read class 8 everywhere

Why can't set default gateway ?

We have develop a vpn client and a virtual ethernet adapter (NIC). So all IP packets will go through the virtual interface.
So we can set the metric and default gw in the routing table to the virtual adapter. it works fine on the old firmware of HTC universal (MDA Pro). But on the new WM Firmware of T-Mobile (ExtRom 1.30.223 GER) the network traffic go only through the wireless lan and not through our virtual interface.
Here is the routing table :
Destination | Mask | Nexthop | interface index | metric
0.0.0.0 | 0.0.0.0 | 192.169.1.1 | 2.0.0.0 | 10
0.0.0.0 | 0.0.0.0 | 10.0.6.1 | 3.0.1.0 | 30
the router of our virtual NIC is all ready setted in the top of the routing table, also metric and it have a less index, but IP packet go through WLAN ?!
ps.
theoretically we can set the default gateway to UMTS or WLAN.
although the virtual adapter have a less metric and
index in the routing table !?
Does any body try to set default GW, or to swap default GW beetween GPRS/UMTS and WLAN connection ?
There is a code sample from Pb, but it doesn't work in our project.

Problem Connecting to WiFi network

Hello,
The network description of how I need to set it up is here: https://sara.morehead-st.edu/pda2.html
Does anyone see any known problems as to why a 8525 wouldn't connect to this network? It says it needs a password/etc to correctly know it is me when I connect and says it cannot connect because of this, but I have only got the message with the boxes to enter my name to come up once or twice, and each time it still didn't work. Now the box to enter my ID# doesn't even come up and it just has an error saying that I can't connect because it doesn't have my ID number. Is there any cab or anything I can use to make this comparible?

default gprs settings

Because I was annoyed of GPRS connections always popping up, I thought I'd simply delete the settings, since I don't use it.
Problem: now I can't connect to the internet anymore with my serial cable...
Does anyone have the default connection settings (ISP & WORK).
If you think that not being able to use the serial cable to get on the internet is caused by something else, please tell me...
Thanks in advance!
Ok, since nobody could help me apparently I did a hard reset and now everything works..
Didn't know that windows mobile 6 automaticly sets the settings for networking (haven't used a windows mobile operated device since it was the 2003 second edition...)
Matbe this is only for belgian proximus users, but I thought I'd post them anyway...
My ISP: Name: GPRS | modem: cellular line (gprs) | APN: cmnet | User name & PW: blank | server assigned IP
My Work: Name: WAP | modem: cellular line (gprs) | APN: cmwap | User name & PW: blank | server assigned IP

Cisco VPN Config HOWTO

I have posted this at DARKYROM, i thought it might be useful here too.
Heres a quick "how to" get Cisco IOS VPN working with DARKYROM native vpn client
because of the limitations in android we cannot use group authentication, it does not work.however this how to will show how you to create an L2TP/IPSec tunnel from your Cisco @ work or home to your droid (Preferably darky rom) native client. I.E. settings > wireless & networking> vpn
there is only one prerequisite and that is that you have advandced ip services ios ( required for ipsec)
heres the cisco config additions, please change the stuff in the <CHANGE ME>.
aaa new-model
!
aaa authentication login default local
aaa authentication ppp default local
aaa authorization exec default local
!
user <USERNAME> password <PASSWORD>
!
vpdn enable
!
vpdn-group L2TP
! Default L2TP VPDN group
accept-dialin
protocol l2tp

no l2tp tunnel authentication

crypto isakmp key <KEY> address 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 no-xauth
crypto isakmp keepalive 3600
!

!
crypto dynamic-map ipnetconfig-map 10
set nat demux
set transform-set ipnetconfig
!
!
crypto map cisco 10 ipsec-isakmp dynamic ipnetconfig-map
!
interface FastEthernet 4 (This is the OUTSIDE interface, this may be different on your router)
ip address dhcp
duplex auto
speed auto
crypto map cisco (This is the line required to your outside interface)
!
interface Virtual-Template1
ip unnumbered FastEthernet 4 (This is the OUTSIDE interface, this may be different on your router)
peer default ip address pool poolipnetconfig
ppp encrypt mppe 40
ppp authentication ms-chap-v2
!
!
ip local pool poolipnetconfig 172.16.0.9 (change this to whatever range your lan is as this is the address that will be assigned to your droid)
!
end
DO NOT Just copy and paste this onto your router. you must edit it first and remove the comments and the brackets.
Please change the ip, username, passwords and keys to make this work.
then basically on your droid goto the vpn settings and create a L2TP/IPSec vpn. input a name a shared key and the ip address or dns name of your router (internet address).
save the config and try to connect, this will ask for the aaa username and password. enter this and then it should connect. wayhey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any chance SSL VPN can work?
