orange holland gave me the following settings to connect but it is for ppc 2003 can somebody please help me how to put these settings in the ppc 2002...

i can use activesycn sign in hotmail account but can't via gprs cpnnection.
i can use gprs surf on the pda. just can't sign in msn messager and check email on hotmail. pls can someone one teach me ? thanks
are you already signed in to messenger/hotmail on another pc whilst trying to connect on your pda?

What PDA OS are you running if its Pocket PC 2002 you'll need to install
the MSN Messager update as for Hotmail you'll need to install a third party
program call HTTPMail provider 1.0.

I upgraded my XDA I with the original Tmobile upgrade PPC2003 GER. All works fine. Then i started the Autokonfiguration for Tmobile Germany. One Programm i got was a tool for mms-sending and receiving. When i want to start this Programm an error message occures like "This software is only working on original T-mobile device". What can i do ? Where is the difference between my XDA I and the MDA I ?
My Device-Information shows:

the difference is only the software
try doing a search for mms composer in the forum it should not have any special relation to any operator of cause you may have to put in the mms settings manualy

using mms-composer is one possibilty. But i thought, when flashing my XDA I with the original ROM of the MDA (T-Mobile, PPC 2003, German), there would be no difference to the original MDA I, and then using the MMS-client-Software (Materna, ANY WAY) from T-Mobile Germany shouldn't make any Problems. When starting the MMS-Software the message "... Software only for T-Mobile Devices" occurs. This means, there must be another difference to the MDA. Any idea ???

i have found the solution for my own. Here for all who are interrested:
- the difference between a MDA1 and XDA1 (with MDA-ROM) is the imei-number
- the MMS-Client-software from T-Mobile (Materna, ANY WAY) needs an imei of a T-mobile MDA
- it must begin with 350512... or 350513... following with a serialnumber of T-mobile

I tried to setup the TMobile "web and walk" GPRS stuff, but without success.
I get a nice GPRS logo (it's connected) but when going to a webpage it says "can't connect/locate the page".
Using my (local) Wifi connection it works fine, but when on the road I would like to use my GPRS connection...
Note : I'm looking for the Dutch settings...

I just reflashed it using the latest (found here) Dutch TMobile 1.6.2.2 ROM (dated 1/11/05)...

Its a cab file that was in the extended rom of a Dutch T-Mobile rom.
Its official and should have all settings for Dutch T-Mobile users.

Thanx for your answers and suggestions, but I'm still not able to get a webpage or email when connected using GPRS (tMobile)....
Using Wifi all is ok....
Anyone in the Netherlands who is using TMobile GPRS on his/her MDA Vario can tell me the settings... On the TMobile website they don't even show the MDA Vario settings !!!!??? (only from MDA to MDA II and SDA).
Note : I tried all of them without success...

The gprs settings are very simple for Dutch TMO.
Just create a 'Cellular line (gprs)' connection with 'access point' internet. That's all no user/password etc., if it doesn't work it might be your radio.

Looks like I was thinking to technical to establish a GPRS connection, and I was looking at other (TMobile GPRS pages/set-up's).

I updated my rom to 2.26 english version and lost the wifi settings for t-mobile netherlands. Can someone please help me because I don't understand Dutch.
check oltp posting (above) on Jan 09, 2006, you should see the gprs settings for t-mob NL.
if you stil have some trouble go to the xda-developer ftp site from wiki xda-developer. There's a pdf file for HTC wizard settings for dutch operators.

I want to install push e-mail soft from vodafone on my WM5 dervice,
but Could not download from vodafone server,

Is it supported on WM5? I think the only one that is supported at present is Goodlink and even then it integrates pretty nastily into the platform.
There IS a push email service provided by vodafone that works on the universal, here is the install cab for it however please note this is the British vodafone's version and as such it sets up a "business email internet access point" have a look see what you can do with it.... btw its visto push email

just wanted to see if this is standerd or not,
Iv read a review on the device where they had pocket msn installd
