help..
my xda I wont start up.. it has the o2 logo at the first start up and then just a white screen and nothing else is happening.

For no reason earlier today it kept turning itself off, and now everytime i turn it on, it loads the o2 splash screen, then the rom details, then just turns itself off :shock: anyone had this problem or know what to do? By the way I have not upgraded rom etc recently, so it can't be anything to do with that!
im stuck on the red green blue and white screen on my tmobile mda..anyone knows how to help me with that? everytime i turn my mda off and turn it back on it still shows the color screen and wont do nothing else..someone help please..

I need more info.
First, don't panic...the screen is the bootloader screen and it's your friend.
When you plug in the usb to the device/pc, do you see "usb" in the lower corner of your device?? If yes, then just snag an official rom from your provider and re-flash your device.
If no, post back with more info.
There are a million threads here of people freaking out, use the search button, read the stickies...I'm pretty sure someone has answered this sometime before. It really is common.

Hey guys i have a O2 XDa 2i. even after a hard reset it shows welcome page and as you tap on it it takes you to the screen alignment . I have been tapping the screen all over to align the screen for ages but its not booting up further. WHAT DO I DO?? to make it working?? i can access the files after connecting it with active sync to my computer.
ANY SUGGESTIONS??? please let me know asap. my phone is in COMA somebody save my PHONE
You may need a new screen/touch screen digitiser...
okay heres what happened i recently flashed anderoids aosp 2.2 rom that was full of bugs and one of the problems was not being able to get into recovery i tried to get into recovery and my phone got stuck in a loop and now that im trying to get into download mode it doesnt want to. I plug my phone into the computer and the battery charging icon appears i press the 3 buttons the screen goes black and then returns to the picture of the battery. Any help is appreciated. the battery icon stays blank shows no progress.
When the screen goes black then release the power key and then it should go to download mode....
P.S....u have to keep holdin 3 keys before pluggin in the usb....hope this helps...

how long does odin usually take?
Yesterday my wife picked up her phone to use it and found that when she pressed the power button the screen was just white. She couldn't turn it off and had to pull the battery to restart it. The phone is now still going the same thing.
It's running completely stock and has been fine for the 11 months she's had it.
I've tried the hard reset using the buttons and while I can't see anything on the screen the phone does vibrate when expected. Also if i tap the screen with my finger the occasional black line will appear and then vanish again.
Any thoughts?
Are you able to enter bootloader or recovery?

No matter what I do the screen is just plain white. I think the phone is working as normal apart from the screen itself. Sadly I have it with me at work and the wife took the SIM out since it was broken. I want to see if it can receive calls.
Can you boot into fastboot via power + vol down?
If so, you can perform a factory reset and that skulls fix it.
I believe the phone is going into it but I cannot SEE that it is as the screen never displays anything other than blank white.
I know that it is doing something different to normal boot because normal boot has a vibration and booting with vol down does not.
I've tried the various button presses even though I cant see the display and I think it's worked, but the screen is still just plain white.
I have a feeling it is just the ribbon.

Just an update. Sure enough with a new £28 screen from eBay the problem is resolved.
I think Wifey wants to sell it and get P4U to buy her out of what is left on the contract so she can get something else. She really wanted a keyboard but she's found she doesn't use it.
I also think the ribbon's the problem. Take it to HTC, maybe?
