Is there a program to monitor the amount of data transfered via gprs when i connect to the internet?
SPB GPRS MONITOR
Well, try SPB GPRSmonitor - good statistics, wide settings, TODAY plug-in + startbar icon to monitor the current speed, amount of data transfered and so on... By the way, it's my first post since I installed the XDA-DEVELOPERS SPECIAL EDITION ROM 1.2! Fantastic! I'm only waiting for the same thing to be based on WM 2003. Any way, thank you, guys! Great job!
Does anyone know of any software or of a way to get pocketie to show your rates for downloads? I currently have a 700+ meg avi file im downloading through orb via 3g connection on my phone and I would love to be able to see what speeds I am getting. Any help is appreciated.
Just use dslreports and other broadband speed testers...
So on my little old S620 i can see the speed of the downloads but on these ppc's which are supposed to be more "computer-like, no? crazy
Well that was worthless. I want to see current and actual download speeds so I can determine when a file will finish. I found 2 apps. One called IP Dashboard. This is a great app that monitors both wifi and gprs/3g data transfer speed. Another is gprs monitor which monitors only gprs/3g and not wifi. I like IP Dashboard as its less ugly looking on my today screen and does both gprs/3g and wifi.

Why not try "Handy Get"?
I will look into this thank you. I found a couple others that didn't work in wm6. one called vito download manager and another called winmobile download accelerator. both supposed to have ie integration but neither worked with hypercore lite wm6 rom. anyway ill check into this handy get.
spb gprs monitor is a today plugin that gives your current speed. No idea on the accuracy but the info is there :-D cheers Russ
I manage to install tje Spb Wireless Monitor, and set up the tariff for my carrier. When I check the stats for the used amount of data everything seems to work flawlessly for a minute. Then suddenly the program hangs and the only way to use the top bar is to soft reset the device.
Is there any substitueprogram to monitor the datausage for the HD??
No one???? (BUMP!)
I would suggest searching Google using the following seach string :
"pocket pc gprs monitor -spb"
That should display 3 or 4 different options.

I use GPRS Traffic Monitor. Works fine on the HD. http://www.smartphone.net/software_detail.asp?id=1353
if you use GPRS monitor from SPB you have to have access to a keyboard to cycle through the drop down menu to select the connection you wise to monitor. which means a bluetooth keyboard, or using MY MOBILER with active sync on your pc.
Nevermind, a new version of Spb Wireless Monitor just arrived, and it seems to work without any flaws.
Great app!!!
Works flawlessly on HD
