I tried to send file from my xda ii to T610 via BT (using "file data exchange"=Beam function), but not sucessful. However, I can receive the file sending from T610.
Is it related to BT profile?

Since I am very much interested in being able to listen to the xda audio on a BT headset, abd that seems as an impossibility using the MS BT stack. I was wondering if anybody every succeeded to do this setup using the widcomm stack? i.e. install the widcomm BT stack, bond it with a BT headset, and actually listen to audio through the headset.
most of the post I have seen (even in ipaq forums) mention succeeding in pairing and connecting the headset but no audio is actually heard through the headset.
Will the day ever come where this dream will come true?

this then maybe
I don't think its possible to route regular non-phone call sound (e.g., Media Player, MP3's etc) through the bluetooth headset yet. I'm not sure what that guy in that thread is talking about when he said it was working for him. Also, the Widcom stack won't work (I tried it) and that Kai blueetooth tool is not for the XDA II - it specifically says so.
The guy who wrote Pocket Bluetooth Tools wrote me and said that he was working on adding support for regular sound through the BT headset "soon". But that was a while ago and I haven't heard anything since.
Does anyone know which version/ipaq was the widcomm stack in bluetoothgps.zip from?
If i understand correctly that was from an ipaq h2210 or 1940 correct?
which already had problemms with the headset/audio over BT
I managed to locate a BT upgrade for ipaq 5400 (widcomm ver 1.4 i think)
of course the installation of the driver updae as is fails miserably!!...but I need some help in how to locate the cab file which installs in the xda...in order to extract the indicidual files? any thought on that? the driver update comes as a single self extracting file and all the cab files inside are not readable
so where can i find the cab file which directory is it transfered to in the xda? maybe I can get it from there...
any software to send sms to a bluetooth receipent using bluetooth ?
Hi all !
Anybody were able to transfer files via BT between PC and TyTn ?
I cannot....
Help, please.
i'm no problem to do that....
try to check the beam option ON and make sure that BT in ON and visible...
try with this...
cheers

BT doesnt neet to be visible except you didnt pair the device once. So after paring the device you can make the TyTN hidden and you are able to send files trough OBEX. Worked well since i am transfer some files

My laptop and Hermes are both paired and can do ActiveSynch via BT. But when i try from PC explorer "Send To -> Bluetooth" it does not work.
It says "File transfer service is not found on the device.". After i turned on "Receave all beams" it did work fine. I thought that this is for infrared only.
Am i correct here ?
you need to have this activated, otherwise you arent able to receive bt obex files. Its both BT and IR.
my mda vario 2 is unable to send files through bluetooth
- to another phone
- to a computer
my phone can not find these 2 devices. Though i am able to receive files wich are send to my mda vario 2 by bluetooth.
need a hand pls
Have you tried using Total Commander? I had that problem with my 8125 before i switched and using total commander solved the problem.
In connections - set beam to receive all beams. this should solve the incoming problem.
when you have bluetooth turned on and beam an item the second line shows it beaming to other bluetooth devices. MS call beam instead of send file for bluetooth as well as IR
Hope this helps
I mean, how to enable the full functionality of the BlueTooth?
I can receive files, connect to a BT handsfree an send ONLY vCards, but I can send ringtones, mp3 or pictures...

I have a Vodafone V1605 (VPA Compact III) and there is no option to do this transfer...
turn bluetooth on, click the file (in the file explorer), select beam file and voila, it will search bluetooth devices!
