Hello fellow XDA users...
I was wondering if there's any way to make a custom ROM without the use of a UNIX machine. If not, would anyone out there be willing to cook me up a ROM? Thanks in advance!

Hello all!
I am new here! I would like to ask if I can install a custom ROM to my HD mini. If so, how many different roms are there? Which rom is the best? Is there a tutorial regarding the installation proccess? Thank you very much! Please, enlighten me because I have no idea with these things.

Yeah, but if your porting a ROM, you need to actually make the os start before you can debug. Thats why the kitchen is needed, to edit kernel/boot ramdisk files and system images to make your ROM actually work.

Your best bet is to use a kitchen if one exists or hope somebody makes a up-to-date one.
Seems to be much to read

First advice: have a 64-bit linux distro (i.e. Ubuntu).
If use don't dispose with a linux computer, any other advice is meaningless.
