A great big thank you to all - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 General

I have just ordered the Rikaline plus Tom Tom II and was told by a colleague that the GPS/XDA2 link only worked if I downloaded a fix.
Hey Presto, found this marvellous forum and you guys have been beavering away to sort things out. I have downloaded the Blueyooth GPS Zip file and NOW look forward to receipt of my Rikaline GPS X7 and Monday's release of the all singing solution.
I would have been really pi**ed off to have discovered it didn't work - thank goodness for you guys.

PS - Paul, if you read this thanks for tipping me off to the site - it was an amazingly good "chance meeting".

Good work...and...
Hi Buzz,
I'm been away from the forum for a good few months and I'm very pleasantly surprise by your excellent work.
In fact, after reading through the few threads on WM2005, I'm now the proud owner of a revitalised XDA2 with WM2005 v1.60a installed.
The only pet peeve I have is that Maction Monster Chinese and the likes don't installed well on the system anymore. I've a geniune need to read Chinese on my PDA phone, and I can't do it anymore with WM2005.
One approach I can take is to be patient, and another approach I can take is to ask you for a favour to join some other top brains here to figure out a good solution.
Obviously, there are mixed reports that certain patch like fontpatch.CAB, chinapatch.cab works for previous v1.50x versions. It would be some registry tweaks, or memory allocation issue, which your expertise would be sorely needed.
Cheers,
Henry

I saw Asukai thread on wince.nls. Great job there as well. I've tested it, and concur with AzN_devil that the Chinese-specific region settings cannot be seen in the Region Settings window for v1.60a. He claims that it works on v1.50h though, i think.
Nevertheless, I made some more tests and I can read Chinese display text on Word Mobile. Unfortunately, Chinese e-books still come out with gibberish text.
If you can shed some light on this mystery, I am sure the community continues to owe you yet another big favour.

Profiles for the phone when O2 active S/ware removed

Hi Everyone,
Some more advice and recomendations please!
After getting some excellent advice over the last couple weeks since I joined, I now have my XDA2i running veryyy nicely indeed! Thanks again to all those who helped me!
I purchased Spb Pocket Plus and really like it ! excellent bit of software!
Now, is there something as well regarded for getting 'phone profiles' back on the unit ?
I removed the O2 active software so currently dont have it, but I'd like to get that feature back.
Did a search for similar posts, and saw a couple mentions of software but no actual 'reviews' or recommendations.
What say you guys for this?
Thanks for any feedback & advice!

Working Software on Universal:

I actually got my Universal yet (thanks to o2's delayed release) but I thought it might be useful to have a thread that is *only* a list of what software is working, so that other members of the forum can benefit from your experimentation.
Thanks in advance for everyone who contributes! So all you guys lucky enough to have a Universal, please list the software inc. version that you have fully operational:

Ooops... I did try searching... clearly I'm not up to the job!
Thanks for the link...
And Mods feel free to delete this thread since it's pretty much redundant!

a link to my little look at the k-jam and jasjar

hi all. I've lurked for a while on and off but I received a PM elsewhere today that reminded me of you guys so I thought it was time to sign up and say hi!... so... hi!
my first contribution will be a link to a little look at my latest devices, the k-jam and jasjar and since it covers both I hope you will let me get away with posting it here and in the wizard forum.
I hope you find something useful or interesting in this...
A couple of my mates. Meet JasJar and K-Jam (many pics)
Hi! Welcome to the forum (if I may make so bold) Interesting reading, thanks!

New and looking for tips/advice

Firstly I'd like to say hello. Hello. I'm new here as you can tell. I'm getting my X1 this Saturday (if all goes well) and have been looking around for applications/panels and information on how to tweak/enchance and improve my X1.
As an electronic engineering student, I love to tinker with PCs. My desktop at home runs Windows 7, and I'm looking for help, tips and advice on how to enchance my X1 experience.
Basically, if anyone can recomend any applications/tips on how to tweak and speed up the X1 and make it better than I hear it already is.
Thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing from you all
I hope I can make some sort of contribution to XDA Developers
Mads
