I have all of the ROMS to date and would like to host a kitchen online. I can't get a kitchen working BUT there are lots of you who can...so...who would like to volunteer a kitchen or help getting one up and I will provide the ROMS and the hosting? I would like to provide all of the ROMS, which I have, so everyone will be able to cook whatever they wish. Let me know here or PM me.
Thanks,
I'll upload you a buncha of programs to put on your kitchen
sounds good but i need the kitchen coded first
No one wants to help with this? Alot of people ask for the 4.00.11 ROM, which I have and am willing to host a kitchen if someone just helps me figure it out. C'mon people, you can email or PM me if you don't want anyone knowing you helped. One of you has to have a tutorial put together or one already installed that I can just drop my ROMs into.

I'll test it. I have a spare P3 1 gig computer w/1gig of ram running cygwin. I also have a website to host it. If you have one set up and I can somehow download it. I will put it up securely so you and I can test it. Let me know.

Hey Guys..
I just got my HTC Advantage X7501, and I flashed teh room to Pawel's one.. I'm really enjoying it so far. I just bought WA2 and WAD and I was really looking forward to putting the Windows Vista Portable Edition VGA 1.1 theme on my athena, because a while ago I saw people who had it, and it looked so epic. Well, I just found out by doing a quick google search that all of these themes were removed. Now I'm really bummed because I really wanted to see my Athena running this sort of thing.
If anyone still has it on their pc, or can point me towards a link that I can find it at, it would be greatly appreciated. You can email me the info at [email protected] or send me a PM via XDA Forums if you feel you need to address me through those methods.
Once again Thank You for all your contributions. I am sure I am not the only person searching for this theme, so the person helping me, would also be helping a lot of people.. THANKS.
Hey whaddup,
I have it, but I'm not sure how to get it to you. I dont want to get into any legal "BS" over it. Is it okay if I email it to you? Or can a file like this be PM?
Let me know.....but I'm more than willing to share!!!
I am pretty sure you can upload it to somewhere like rapidshare or megaupload, or I think you might be able to email it to me.
Thanks so much.
Edit: Actually you can just attach it to a post, at very bottom when you are replying to someone, it says attach. I think that might do teh trick !!
THANKS
will do. first thing tomorrow tho.

Thanks man, I and probably a lot of forum members appreciate it.
my humble apologies to everyone. i had a major examine in class yesterday and it completely slipped my mind. on my way home right now....give me about one and half hour.
I will send it to the author of the thread and upload...if i can figure it out.
my apologies again!
Okay....I tried to email and upload this file. Its too big. 23mb. What else can i do? I dont know how to do the whole rapidshare thing. Willing to learn though!!
Post it on the forums, when you reply to the thread, there is an option to attach a file. You shoudl see it when you click post reply. Should be next to attachments or something like that.
Yeah, that is what I tried to do. But the file is so big, it canceled out and told me to contact the administration. This was after 10mins of waiting to attach.
Any other options?
I also tried to email it to you and it was to heavy as well!! Um stuck
I also tried to email it to you and it was to heavy as well!! Um stuck
Ok !
Thanks for all the hard work. I think I have an idea.
Goto http://rapidshare.com/
On the page, you browse for the file and press OK, and click upload, I think that is pretty straightforward. When you're done, you can copy and paste the link either here on the forums, or you can just email it to me.
Thanks again for everything !
not got that file anymore but this is worth a read.

Hey Man !
Thanks for contributing to the thread.
That link was very helpful and I am sure will help me much when playing around with the theme.
Thanks.

Here we go. Now I know how to rapidshare.
I will break the link in three days. By then, everyone who requested should have it.
Peace
BTW....this skin was created by the legendary Xcilion. May the artist resurface again with an even more impressive theme!!!!
I hope everyone has download this. Those that request it. Please post by 10am central standard if you need more time, I'm willing to postpone just a little. I'm going to kill the link at that time.
Reason for: I know the artist/skinner who created this was asked to discontinue it by Microsoft. Why? I have know idea!! So I dont want to get into any mess with this.
Other else....I would leave it up here for good.
Thanks for your understanding!!!!
Kenjari
Is there another posting?
I would like to snag it too, but it looks like it is getting more scarce because of Microtrust's involvement.
Thx,
C
Hi Guys...
hmmm.... story short...
I opened new website www.polarisaio.com
dedicated to HTC polaris...
The idea is to get as much GOOD stuff in one place as possible....
So i find a guide to do somthing somewhere on the net, i'll post it on my web site.
I would appreciate if you could help me out in creating proper, organized resource for everything that related to Polaris.
I just started to update the website today... so there's nothing really yet, but i'll do my best to update and maintain it as regularly as possible.
P.S. I'd like to say that i love XDA-DEVELOPERS.COM , loads and loads of useful info, Thanx all of you great minds who "help us n00bs to evolve into advaced users "
Once again www.polarisaio.com is just an organized resource, concentration point and that is it. All stuff that is on the website belongs to whoever made it(tools, roms, guides) and ill post authors names if its possible...
anyways... hope in a week time i'll have big enough database there...
Ok
CHeers
Yeah just link to:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=398
A suggestion.....make it easy find a resource related to roms ie Dialer, skins etc
Yeah,
Polaris support site!
Thanks!

well
everything all over the place. i was trying to find few things here.. and it took me as houR to do so...
if u have designade area fot polaris why not to put every thing all together.
so i think people like me who own polaris would prefere to visit A website where everything is just bout polaris and if they have a need to update therie rom.. all u have to do is to go to download area and download what they want.. and not search though the whole forum... and MAYBE to find an answer...
all i want, is realy to have everything for my phone in one place.... if i need a rom i go to rom downloads.. and if i need a kitchen i go to kitchen downloads area....
damn.. cant write now.. im drunk as hell.. my wife just had her birthday....
i believe i have **** loads mistakes.. sorry for that.....
she is beautyful woman... i want to have a website as beautiful as she is for Polaris
Cheers lads....
xarloc -
I've got to agree with you - I spend fully half my xda-developers time looking for something I saw last week. It's the definitive site but because a lot of the information is scattered throughout the site, it's just not organized all that well for "amateurs" (like me).
Thanks for your effort - I'll probably see a lot more of your site as it develops.
Hi All, sorry but as some of u, who registred on the polarisaio.com, might have notice the website crashed.
so now its back with all proper stuff installed and all it needs is content.
please dont lose hope in Polaris All-In-One
we'll get there.
There is new section on recipies. check it out. (its only one there for now)
But as i said we'll get there.
If u have any ideas links or what ever it is there please pm me on the website or here.
i'll try to upload add and etc everything u think is worthy.
Cheers
Hi,
the idea is nice but not very realistic. In the end it will be one more page we have to visit to find what we need or to give support. Maybe one should invest the time to clean up here?
Anyway: good luck for you and your project!
Cheers,
Derek.
Nice idea and thanks for your efforts, but why the need
of another registration for being able to use the site?
I have a thousands of registration meanwhile and I really
get sick with every new one I have to do for no real
reason, because all of the stuff on the site is free, isn't it?
Just my 2 cents

well all the guides you can read without registering.
only downloads require signup, traffic you know.
im not trying to make another xda-developers, its just one place where u can find all you need for ur polaris phone. without hours of searching
cheers
what about the xda-dev wiki here for polaris. why we don't extend it? the information there is very rare for polaris devices. i would really appreciate this. i would do it, but till now im rather new to this device.
hi everyone! i'm not sure if this is the right place to post this... if not, please move it to the correct place...

I needed to know how to cook a rom, specifically a hero rom if you could help with that. I needed requirements, applications needed, etc. Thanks! Any help is appreciated, if you want, just give me your gmail and I'll send you an invite (just make sure you help me out somehow)
well I personally would start over at ppcgeeks they are more based around the whole cooking scene

What do you want out of a rom? There is all the info to do it out there just takes a little bit of linux knowledge.
I could throw together anything for you but most things are down to user preference.

Then,Linux operating system in your PC such as ubuntu, fedora or opensuse....

well,I know that its not easy.
But I have plenty of time and I would like to have a try.so where can I find caffee shop for hd2 updated software?

All the best...wish someone can teach you...But please don't open another thread to ask for help....
This kind of threads already repeated many times...
the others are kinda saying that if you have to ask, then you just aren't ready to do it
its like asking someone about how to repair cars or build your first computer...no simple set of tools and a tutorial will get you anywhere

Hmm, I built my first computer by looking inside another one, wasn't hard at all.
nkos719, knowing how to search for information fast and efficiently is one of the most important assets of a developer. Make the search function your most important tool and you will progress fast.
I looked everywhere but the only tool I found was the Coffee Shop kitchen v1 but I cannot open the files included in the rar file.
That's because it only works on Linux systems..
If you do not have access to an Linux environment, better forget ROM development for Android.

Putting the hardware is the easy part! I was doing that for my father when I was 7/8! Only now than Im turning 18 have I learnt to make a flawlessly working computer!
I agree with everyone else here...
Noone can give you the answer you want.
It took me months of hard work, with no help from anyone else but text books to be able to write java for android.
Thats your best hope.
Good luck though, Keep at it! Its worth it in the end.
