It shows only the O2 Screen with the ROM-Version 3.19.01
Who comes from Germany (Frankfurt/Stuttgart/Karlsruhe Munich no Problem) and can helph me to setup my XDA in an funktional state.

Hi.
At first: Sorry for my bad English.
Second: 7-8 Weeks ago i have updated my XDA (O² Germany) to 4.00.33 GER from LumpiStefan's Rom Kitchen. It works perfkt. 2 Days ago i have updated to 4.01.19 GER from LumpiStefan's Rom Kitchen and my XDA workin very-very slow.
At many Times the XDA was hanging-up and only soft reset make this working.
Have any one an Idea?
I have had the same problem.
Upgraded to 4.01.19 GER and the device was very slow.
Now, a few soft resets later, the device is working normal.
Not have done any soft reset for the last 1 or 2 weeks.
So i think it was a temporarly problem.
All is working fine now...

I've come accross a small problem.
I have upgraded the XDA to 3.17.03 ENG (includes wmodem) and the device will not unlock (using XDAunlock.exe) :shock: . I have also tried upgrading it to the SER 1.2, but that doesn't unlock it either. All I want to do is put my Orange SIM into my O2 XDA, can you help? :?
Funny because the latest ROM provided by O2 from their website www.my-xda.com should provide a network free phone.........
I have an XDA and i didn't need the XDAunlock tool on the latest ROM.
ROM version: 3.17.03 ENG
Radio version: 4.21.00

You hsould not need the unlocktools in it to unlock.
Can't think why. Continue persuing, you'll make it. No doubt.

I upgraded my XDA I with the original Tmobile upgrade PPC2003 GER. All works fine. Then i started the Autokonfiguration for Tmobile Germany. One Programm i got was a tool for mms-sending and receiving. When i want to start this Programm an error message occures like "This software is only working on original T-mobile device". What can i do ? Where is the difference between my XDA I and the MDA I ?
My Device-Information shows:
ROM-Version 4.01.19 GER
ROM Datum 03/05/04
Radio Version 3.23.11
Protokoll Version 32S54
Identity : PWA10A2, Pocket PC

the difference is only the software
try doing a search for mms composer in the forum it should not have any special relation to any operator of cause you may have to put in the mms settings manualy

using mms-composer is one possibilty. But i thought, when flashing my XDA I with the original ROM of the MDA (T-Mobile, PPC 2003, German), there would be no difference to the original MDA I, and then using the MMS-client-Software (Materna, ANY WAY) from T-Mobile Germany shouldn't make any Problems. When starting the MMS-Software the message "... Software only for T-Mobile Devices" occurs. This means, there must be another difference to the MDA. Any idea ???

i have found the solution for my own. Here for all who are interrested:
- the difference between a MDA1 and XDA1 (with MDA-ROM) is the imei-number
- the MMS-Client-software from T-Mobile (Materna, ANY WAY) needs an imei of a T-mobile MDA
- it must begin with 350512... or 350513... following with a serialnumber of T-mobile

...i am sure I'm gonna get my ass kicked, but i've just got an minor problem.
My XDA Executive fails booting after a software installation. Currently i'm in Boolloader modus, but just don't know wich version to install.
I got it from the UK and it had R: 1.09.00 / 1.30.107 WWE and it said G 42.42.P8 usually on the screen. I just downloaded: Uni Qtek 13077 176 10900 WWE Ship.
Does this mean i will get a system in English with QWERT Keaboard but without the O2 software ?
I hate this - never wanted to do it - My Exec was expensive enough already and now i have to risk all

I bought a xda orbit second hand with the artemis rom ver 4.0 ,
can I reinstall the original o2 uk rom as i think i am having issues with the current one.

Am i right in saying that if an Xda has a non service provider rom on it then it has already been unlocked and can now be loaded with any rom that is compatable with it?
Anyone reckon the O2 rom for the Uk is also for Ireland.
