Hello Guys
I wonder if any of you here is an oldschool nerd that would love (like myself) to have an MSX emulator on their Pocket PC
Anyone is up for this?!
I really would love to play Zanac & Castle on my PPC, anyone has the time & knowledge to do this?
Hope you all had a nice weekend!
All the best
Emulator
I found these
http://www.zophar.net/ppc/msx.html
I tried them both, they both run on my Universal but both could not run the ROMs I loved & still love (I play with them sometimes on my laptop with a special MSX emulator )
Have any of you tried these before?!
Can I be rude and ask if anyone is interested in the first place? As I didn't get any reply to the topic (when I thought that the site is full of old school nerds like myself )
Cheers Mates!!
Yeh that would be a good thing.
While me mates had speccies, i had a good old msx! Never waited for games to load like me mates had to cos of the good old cartridge slot! Hehe!
Kings Valley 2 anyone?

That was an excellent choice mate!
I myself however prefer Castle, Castle Excellent & Zanac
These were my favorite games (still are lol)
So did you got the chance to try the MSX emulators I have refered to in the previous post? Did they work with you? Do you need Kings Valley 2 ROM file? LOL
Cheers Mate!
Well im at work so will try them later on tonight, my pc is playing up at home so have to get that sorted first.
Nemesis 2 was also a great game, along with F1 Spirit and Knightmare! Hehe! The memories, theyre all flooding back!
Got a few roms thanks, used to use them on me laptop, before i sold it! hehe!
Which msx did you have? I had the toshiba and then the pioneer.

hey did anyone manage to complete salamander's level 6 on their msx?
i never managed to kill the last guardian in level 6?
i also tried to see if using salamander with nemesis II would give the secret new level which would enable me to beat the guardian in level 6 would work, but no luck?
can one play these games on the universal?

As for my MSX it was Yamaha

Hello xda_guy,
Well well well LOL, finally I found the nerd generation I belong to
As for Salamandar I couldn't play that because if I remember well, it needed MSX2 and mine was plain old MSX so wouldn't run it
However if you want I remember there is an emulator for PC that has cheating feature in, where you NEVER die if you are curious to see whats after level 6
As for being able to play it on Universal, well this is why the original post is all about, if you check my post where I put a URL, you will find that there are two different MSX emulators for PocketPC, the problem is I tried them both, they both run on my Universal without error messages, but they did NOT operate any ROM (Read Only Memory which are binary file images of the cartridges we used to use in the MSX era, I am not talking about the Universal ROM), so if you got the chance to try them both, and see if they work with you, maybe something is wrong in my Universal ROM, or if I am doing something wrong way, or if I am missing something.
Please whatever you find out, share it with us & maybe if it works, we can organize a nostalgic championship on who would finish a game first or who would go further or anything like that.
Until then, have a great weekend
Cheers
hey cerberu
you finally did find the nerd gen, i am surprised that so many of us had msx computers, my mates only had commodores's and ibm compatible's
i had a sony hitbit 32KB, i believe that was msx. I am just getting used to my universal, so have not downloaded any emulators, do i just download it and install like any other application?
will keep you posted soon as i manage to get something going, have a nice weekend

Hi xda_guy
I am glad I did
I am starting to think a nerd once, a nerd forever LOL
My friends had commodores & sinclairs, then later on some had MSX, as for IBM compatible, they were VERY expensive that era, as with MSX you could use your TV for display so it was more home oriented.
Anyways if I remember well mine was Yamaha AX170 with 64kB (it is funny how these GREAT games (back then at least) were but a few kBs.
As for the emulators it's not even installation, all you need to do is to download them, then copy them into your storage card or device memory, then run them, you will get the usual warning as it can not identify the software publisher, you can run them and they wont ruin your Universal (they didnt ruin mine), the problem is that I believe they were written for previous version of Windows Mobile, thats why I couldnt get them to operate any ROM, my friend is coming back after the weekend from 12 days business trip, he has an i-mate PDA2k, so I will try it on his PocketPC & see, if you had better luck yourself please tell me what did you exactly do, then we will start a Championship (though my boss wont like it for sure LOL).
Finally I would like to add, I found a stand alone VERY old game from Atari 2600 Generation (remember that big black box? Or am I getting back way too back in time? LOL) I was saying I found a PAC-MAN game that is working ok on my Universal, it does not need emulator or anything, it is a stand alone application, if you are interested (or anyone else) please let me know and I will provide the link or upload it.
Have a nice weekend (or what is left of it)
Cheers & Good night!
hi
i have got a good mind to chane my handle to hitbit_guy , yes, i was using a 14 inch sony as my display yamaha ax170 was more advanced than the sony hitbit if i am not mistaken.
atari2600, that is the original, ah yars revenge was my fave, then along came the atari clone's wow, at some point, the 2600 stood for the number of games "pre-installed". pac-man, yes, very much interested, show me the link. my office mates will be interested

As for display, I used our 20" Sony Trinitron TV (that was really something back then lol, imagine playing your favorite games on that huge display ), I tried to find Emulator for Atari as well LOL, I found one that is distributed as an open source, and I asked a friend who works as games programmer for cellphones to port it for Windows Mobile 2005, will let you know when he is done (if ever LOL), mean while enjoy this (you & your office mates  dont let the boss catch you LOL)
Good night mate!
thanks for pacman, does it run on hp devices too?
alpha squad, load runner were neat too(there even was a rambo game), however could not get beyond a certain level, the lack of a save functionality on msx killed the chances of completing the games.
i think what will be real cool is playing games during meetings

Good day xda_guy
I am glad you like it, I don't know if it runs on HP devices as I've never tried that, I don't know what their CPU is, and I don't know if it has to do with that, I tried to look for the site of where I got the Pac Man from but I wasn't able to, anyways if I remember well it was designed (if I am not wrong) for ARM CPUs, if HP uses ARM, then I guess since its same software & same hardware, I guess it would work, anyways, you can wait till tomorrow & let one of your office mates with HP PPC try it & let us know
As for Load Runner, absolutely true, it was one of the games I liked (I like puzzle & brainteasing games) the only thing I hated about Load Runner was it lacked music, and it's characters were way too small even for the 20" TV display LOL.
Rambo, nope not my style but my friends liked it, and yes I agree that save game was a missing very important feature, Castle & Castle Excellent did have save game (they charge you for one life to save though), I am trying to remember, did Kings Valley had codes on which you can start from next level if you finished them successfully, or was it just 'The Lost Viking' game for Amiga & PC that did that?!
Have a nice weekend (or what is left of it)
Cheers

Hey xda_guy
to be honest, this is the first time EVER since I've joined XDA Developers, that I came to such shock, I was literally    you dont know castle & castle excellent??!!!
Dude the main reason I want MSX emulator is because I never had the chance to finish Castle Excellent back them (I did finish Castle though), you might want to check these links
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Castle_(game)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castle_Excellent
You know the word addiction?! Castle games were my addiction back then (not that things changed much since that time LOL, like I said earlier, a nerd once a nerd forever )
Now whenever the MSX Emulator works for our Universal, I want to ask you to download Castle & we will play & he who finishes first is the winner.
As for HP & PacMan please post your experience here, it might not help me myself as I dont have HP, but it might help others who might want to try the game on their PPC.
Have a great last few hours of weekend
Hello xda_guy
any updates?!
Hello cereberus
sorry for the late reply. work has been a nightmare last one week
i checked out castle, looks interesting and addictive , unfortunately work has taken up most of my time, will install the emulator tomorrow and give it a whirl.
i dont think my colleague tried pacman on hp, he was overwhelmed with work, the boss is away next week so i will ask him to give it a try if he has not tried already
Hey all. I'm really new to HTC and PCC. I had a Nokia 6682 and new how to tweak it and everything. I'm lost with my Wizard though. Do I install programs and stuff just like a regular computer? What tweaks do you guys recommend I perform? I only use the phone for watching videos, listening to music, taking pics and video and of course talking on the phone. I have a PQI 2gb memory card and I just found out that I should've gotten a SanDisk instead. I read the WIKI, but I'm still kinda lost. Somebody teach the young grasshopper!!!!
PQY, SanDisk, Kingston ... - ... believe me: all of those cards are produced in one and the same factory in China!
About what you should do with your WIZ200: this question you should have asked yourself before buying it! It is a PDA, an organizer, a mobile computer which lets you do stuff on the go while away from your desk - and it has for sure its limits!
The Wizard is not the ideal device for watching videos! A little bit research before buying would have told you that! All through it is possible to watch videos; if it is 'enjoyable' is another question ...
Music:
yes, it plays! But already my SE K800i has a much better sound than the WIZ!
There are some cool games out there for PDA's which really run excellent on the WIZ! You can take a closer look at www.handango.com for that! They have also trial versions available for download!
Tweaks:
Some of them are nice but many produce even some issues on your device! So, be carefully by tweaking your WIZ and always ask yourself if that particular TWEAK is really necessary or of you could even live without that!
Am I able to have pictures and ringtones for certain callers and all that? I fell in love with the touchscreen stuff man. I couldn't help it. Plus I only paid $60 through cingular. I have 30 days to return it. Do you know of any phones that might be of interest and usefulness to me?

Ringtones and pictures for callers is no problem! Just check your contacts list in the phone and you will see it offers much more than nokia's symbian would ever be capable of!
About your second question: I have absolutely no clue what phones would be of interest for you! You might wanna figure that out by yourself? www.gsmarena.com
You da man! One last question though. Is there any way I can put P/W protection on my pictures and videos?

I am sure there is a way with 3rd party software. Maybe some real good FILE EXPLORERS are capable of that!
I just wonder why you need to put a password protection on your pic's? Do you rent your phone or give it to somebody from time to time? Then a better solution would be to work with 2 MiniSD cards: put your personal stuff on one SD and the public stuff on another one ...
SOme things i feel that are needed for new wizards.

^^^ that page lots of good stuff.
But the first thing thatmakes installing programs a breeze. is Cabviaacticesync
What it is. when you download the cab file(program) you want. you right click the cab file with your mouse. and there will be a new menu called cabviaacticesync. click that then folow the steps.
http://www.modaco.com/CABviaActiveSync-FREE-Edition-now-availableand33-t243034.html
Also Omapclock and Omapclock plus. you can download those sepratley. or you can download something called batterystaus that has ompa built in. really nice program. All free. dont overclock over 260. i leave mine at 240.
thats all i have for now.
skype me if you want help. toodeep2360
ALso put all your programs on your sd card. will let your wizard run faster. the only downside. is prgrams will start slower.
Thanks for all of your help. I'm gonna go through all these threads over the weekend. I just really gotta find a P/W program.
You better be carefully with OMAPCLOCK and BATTERYSTATUS! It does not really do any good and lots of people had problems with that! Just search this forum or others online!

I think you would be in a minority there Junner2003 - the majority of people on the forum with omap devices overclock their devices and have no problem - it certainly makes the device alot more responsive.
It makes skype useable, videos smooth etc...
It is very rare to cause any damage through overclocking and most stick around 240mhz.
I find the device fine for watching a movie
Even if I am in the minority - still sticking to my opinion!
I am glad so many people have no issues with it! Research in the web tells me another story! How ever, every1 makes his own choices - and I always try to keep my stuff as original as possible! Others like do change every single bit and byte - multiculti!
Have it your way!

Wrong. Between my 2 8125s and my brothers 2 8125s. overclocked to 240-273 we have no problems running them for a year now.
Yes there has been a few people who thought it was ok to overclock over 260.
and everyone has said not to overclock over 240-260.

I partially agree, I hate the slow stock roms (I think Junner2003 is on one(?)). But i used to use batterystatus and even clocked to 312 permanently for a while. The last version I tried froze my device and my current rom is quicker than anything else anyway.
Running the official German T-Mobile AKU3.3 Rom - performance is quite good - sure: videos are not enjoyable with the 195MHz but it is enough for everything else I do: some office work, internet, email, database, writing some software (and compile it later on a desktop) ... and a bit gaming!
Im not new to WinMo and I'v had the HD2 for about 3 days now but coming from Android like most of u, and was wondering what solutions you have found for software. To me the Windows Market SUXs big time right now. nothing good worth downloading (free anyways) and i have noticed theres not manny, to no choices when it comes to photo editing or manipulating software
where can i get some software to make the phone more usable. seems very limited right out of the box for me and i wanna "Android it up" a bit if its at all possible... and i dont mean install android apps
i miss the:
photo editing apps in general, not just android ones
googlesky - i know, i know, its a google app but something similar should be out there.. no?
googlemaps - (see googlesky note) (winmo doesnt have turn by turn on the included googlemaps...). however, i dont blame google for the limitations, it is their software.
extra messaging apps
a working barcode scanner - very useful app
any type of flash?
so whats everyone doing/using??
thank
rlee
Take a look here for what you need, this is the real marketplace for WM 6.5.x!
For Flash Skyfire browser helps, and Smaberg has a version of Opera 10 with flash enabled.
I know there are several barcode readers, don't use it, but they're available, as are alternate messaging apps/UIs.
Don't know about photo editing apps, but I'm sure they must be out there too...
Windows mobile is a far easier platform to get software from. You just search the internet, as you would for PC software. You can always look on xda too, and remember that if you do a search in the HD2 forum, you're only searching a very small portion of the site. You're better searching the whole forum. Wacky.banana kindly posted a thread about searching. It's stickied in this forum.
Hi, You could try http://freewarepocketpc.net. It also has it's own app that you can install on your HD2 to download applications directly to it. Yes the WinMo apps are fragmented all over the place with no single point of download. A lot are crap, but the same can be said for Android and iPhone. You hear stories that developers are giving up on WinMo 6. For bar codes i use i-nigma and Mobiletag but they are far from perfect.
Not sure about your impression that most of the HD2 users come from an Android background, interesting point of view A lot are interested in porting Android to it though
NZtechfreak thanks for the replies, trying out the skyfire browser right now.
johncmolyneux, im far from a windows noob, but for this phone i have searched the web, both through yahoo and google, have searched through forums and all the software i find either isnt compatible or i dont find what im looking for exactly. As i posted above, picture editing software should be common but there is not one single app available that runs properly.

and i wouldnt say im disapointed with the HD2, in fact i think its awesome! its just different from what i've been using for a year and a half. but this phone has features that would make it hard to go back to android hardware so lets load up the sofware and see what happens!

Resco Photo Manager - not free but not expensive either and has reasonably good photo editing capabilities. Certainly enought for mobile devices, given the assumption that hardcore editing would be done on a PC
Got a Vibrant yesterday to "try out" the android world for the first time. Must say I'm impressed by the phones performance out of the box even with all the bloatware and crap on it. I've been a windows mobile guy for quite some time now, so the people that know both platforms well, know they are two completely different monsters. My two options were the hd2 (since i know the WM world pretty well) or learn a whole new platform with the vibrant.
I like it so far, but also miss some of the things from WM (or rather miss knowing my phone well). I guess i just have to start from zero and get acquainted with it first.
Any suggestions on getting the bare down scoop of the platform and such as far as learning it from the ground up? The sticky explains how to do these things, but I need something more basic...I just wanna become proficient in the android world as I am in the WM world starting from zero.
Its hard to say where to start, the best thing about android is the customization. Playing with phone is the only way you are gonna learn, I have been an android owner since day one and am still learning new things everyday. If there is something I don't know I simply come here since this is the best android community on the web. Hope you enjoy IMO the best android phone on the market.

Yeah, really not that much to help with...everything seems pretty intuitive to me. When in doubt, long press or press menu.
My first questions were always like:
Sweet I have Avatar on here, what else Can I put on?
Oh damn, there's only a 2GB Card, and if I remove it, I lose Avatar.
WTF is amazon kindle for? I don't need this? How can I remove Bloats?
That's where I started off, you're most likely going to want to root it. Search the forums around. There's some great stickies to follow by and just go with that.

Well, you could always copy Avatar onto a larger card and then go wild! That's what I did, it will play lots of 720p mkv's that you might have laying around no problem!
Long press and menu are your friends. Other than that look here on xda and use the search function. The stickies typically have the most current info.

I didn't have those questions. I mean the first thing i did was move avatar to my 16gb msdhc into it and go wild with my music, photo, and videos...which I'm amazed how good of sound/video quality i get on this.
I thought more of like where do how do I view flash websites, how do i stream live .pls live music streams, or smaller things like hiding apps from the notification area at the top left when they are running, or resizing certain widgets, removing some of the applications that came with the phone from t mobile, mapping buttons to do different things based on holding them down or tapping a certain amount of times, things like that that aren't explained in the user manual. Or even like right now, I'm trying to make a call and it says: "Call not sent"...well? whyyyyyyyyy? so many questions!
I don't know, I guess all this is just part of the familiarization process and will sooner or later find them out whether by experience or hunting down resources why certain behaviors and actions happen.

Any suggestions on getting the bare down scoop of the platform and such as far as learning it from the ground up? The sticky explains how to do these things, but I need something more basic...I just wanna become proficient in the android world as I am in the WM world starting from zero.

Congrats on your new phone. Let us know how your GPS works, since that seems to be a hot issue. you can test using google maps, google navigation and GPS Test downloadable from the Android Market.

haha that seems to be a problem with any gps enabled phone nowadays. Happened with the fuze and after months and months of tweaking and tweaking we got a hang of it. I tried the GPS yesterday on my way home from work yesterday and did not get a lock, i went ahead and downloaded gps test today to see if that will unlock it before using the gps software. We shall see! Thanks for the heads up tho!
edit: I guess gps test on android works differently than on WM. On WM it scans through your COM ports and gets a fix for you to then use your gps navigation software.

Instead of tapping on something you hold your finger down for a few seconds. A menu will pop up giving you options like copy and paste.

If your phone won't play a video format, try RockPlayer

I would recommend the market as the first place to go. Just start searching and downloading apps and play with your phone. You'll get accustomed to it very quickly!

Yeah thats what ive been doing. Thats another thing that amazes me about android, soooo many apps, and they are all centralized into one easy, convenient location. In wm you would find a few in the marketplace, and the rest u had to hunt down either on the forum or the web. This is slowly growing on me

Coming from WM myself, (and just recently and very reticently turned over my beloved Wizard to my mom) the fun and unfun I have with Android:
Apps are so dratted cheap. Have at it.
Cloud connectivity. I use Picasa all the time now. It took me a while to get used to Google contacts, especially first name alphabetization, but I like it now.
You might want to look at subscribing to CompanionLink. It reliably syncs everything Outlook with your Google account (thus your phone).
Almost nothing was built into Android 1.0. Not much was added through 1.5. Some stuff has been added since, like Facebook sync, but custom ROMs don't add stuff. There's an app for everything. There has to be.
The app drawer is a hassle. I use FolderOrganizer (and ADW Launcher) to quell my addiction to organization beyond alphabetical.
It's fun to watch a few things catch up with WinMo and hear all the Android users brag about how great it is. Like app-specific auto-rotation. There's an app for it out now, but it actually costs something you'll think about, and it eats a hunk of RAM. They're just getting into animated GIFs. Lists and their apps aren't anywhere near ListPro, but they almost all have some way to sync to the cloud.
Office documents created on a PC don't always work with the Office apps that are out there. Don't bother with DocumentsToGo, but Sheadspreet is good (you have to convert first) and I'm trying OfficeSuite, and it seems the best. 30-day trial, $15. It's still not WinMo, though.
For those things you don't sync with the cloud, you can't just throw stuff in your My Documents Folder and rely on that backup. DropBox is a good app/service, and GoogleDocs is your friend. Most apps back up thier specific data to your SD, but on this phone, it's on the internal SD. You have to manually handle your backups, or do Nandroid backups (another worthwhile Google).
You have to install an app to install apps not from Market. Instead of exes their apks.
There's no Total Commander. I like Root Explorer. Astro is feature-filled. There are a million file explorers, and every one of them will have its advocates.
Flashing ROMs is tons easier, but you have to root first.
The Android world moves a lot faster. If you're off the forums for a week you'll feel like you've been in a coma for months. On the flip side, if you're waiting for something to get developed, waiting a few days feel like eternity.
Android devs work harder for a lot less, or no money; it's truly inspiring.
Before you go buying the first app that does what you want, check Market for more that do the same thing. I've found that there's a free alternative to almost everything. The paid versions/apps are more luxurious in one way or another, usually, but a little research can save you a bunch of regret.
Widgets suck RAM. Before you know it you've got 25 and you're wondering why your Home screen is lagging. Phones are finite. Even these.
CM is CyanogenMod. Google it, it's worth it. They started on XDA and it got out of control, so they have their own site now, although the threads still hanging on XDA re CM are a much more interesting read. It seems to be the most popular set of ROMS for a variety of devices. I follow and flash them (the ROMs, that is. I dont want the devs to hate me).
Double entendres are rampant. It's Google.
Once you get your apps organized, you'll be surprised at how smoothly your phone useage goes. Frankly, it's just more fun, and much cheaper, to play with.

Tested it. Google maps got no lock. However, gps test gave me 3 satellites, when I held it in front, under the windshiels it jumped to five satellites, but it wasn't enough for google maps to lock or get my location.

if anybody has a copy of the old AndroidRevolution HD 1.1 for Samsung Galaxy note 2 , i would really appericate it. I've been pulling my hair out trying to get ver 3.0 to work, but with no success. I assumed it would be as easy as 1.1 , but i was wong. One of my mistake was not making a backup after the 1.1 installation. So i'm stuck with an old image that atleast has CWM. So if anybody has this.. Thank you in advance!
thats what my repository is for

hope it helps bro
This is great, thank you! but the links for the 1.0,1.1, and 2.0 are dead. I really appreciate the effort though. Hoping someone out there has 1.1
then mike must have taken them off...
I have 2.0 and I can Share it via dropbox, but would it help ya?

I can give it a try :fingers-crossed: , but if anything i'll hold on to it for a few unless i can't get 1.1
Why not let us disagnose your problem with 3.0?
AFAIK, 3.0 is much more improved than 1.1.
Here it is, Hope you can get it working. http://db.tt/WBP5iUSZ

Results are in and it WORKS!
With a huge grin on my face: Thank you
as to troubleshooting why 3.0 dosn't work for me, i honestly don't know what to tell you. I spent a lot of time researching it and i'm just dumb founded. If i had a spare note 2 i would try to get to the bottom of it, but alas thats not the case (too scared to brick my phone).
<--- happy once again :victory:

If you go to the main thread, it'll be there. Btw i was able to install 4.0 with no problems at all. Makes me wonder whats so different about 3.0 that makes it fail to install. Anybody have any ideas?

Revolution HD 19.0
Hi all,
First post ! I'm not totally new on this forum, I've been consulting them since my very first Android and Smart phone about 3 years ago when I bought the HTC Desire. I did create account back then in order to communicate with you guys, but I never got the privileges for posting so... I just kept reading.
New account made just now because I wanted to share my experience and maybe post a couple of questions (even tips, who knows) - and it does work now, which is nice ! So... Hello !!
I was an HTC protagonist and hated Samsung for their phones made of Taiwanese plastic and their Apple-like designs and commercial strategies... until my employer introduced a new Android application and provided us with new Samsung Galaxy Note 2 devices. Well - let's just say I was amazed on one hand by the speed and capabilities of my new device and disappointed on the other hand by my beloved HTC One X. It's just that - everything works better ! The only annoying bit was the keyboard, which is far less practical than the one on Sense... but that was easily set right with the installation of AI Keyboard and its Gingerbread theme.
So - my phone had just completed its very first charge after I unpacked it when I decided to root it immediately, install CMW6 recovery and flash it with Revolution HD 19.0 - which worked like a charm !
I'm very happy with this ROM ! My battery lasts clearly longer than that of my colleague's stock devices (about 48h with normal use - including a bit of gaming during number 2's, use of Wifi most of the time and Bluetooth in the car). The response is slightly faster too - for instance that app we use for work works just a little bit faster on mine. Same thing for Youtube, Facebook, Despicable Me (cool game :cyclops: ) and so on...
During the flashing it suggests the installation of some apps - well a few of them weren't installed after flashing although I did select them (I remember Maps was not installed for instance... unfortunately I don't remember what else I had to install manually). That means I'm not entirely sure all the tweaks suggested during the flashing were indeed enabled. I couldn't find any Revolution HD specific section in the settings (like you'd have on a Cyanogen ROM) - and couldn't find any app either to test and play with those tweaks. So can someone tell me if there's a way to find/modify those specific options/tweaks ?
What I also can tell is that one of my colleagues, who received the Note 2 the same day as I did, followed me with the rooting and flashing with his device... He seems to have been less lucky than me - he tells me every once in a while, when waking up the phone, he has no reaction when trying to unlock it (he just uses the screen swipe). He has to put it back to sleep and wake it up again before he can unlock it... Is this something that happens to anyone ?
So there you go - my experience is nearly flawless ! I love this ROM and will continue using it !
By the way : does anyone know how updates work with this ROM ? Do I have to backup my apps and data whenever a new Revolution HD ROM comes out for my phone and restore that backup after upgrade ? Or is there some kind of OTA-like update available ?

Well it was the first thread when searching for Revolution HD on this particular device - for one. And I wasn't allowed replying on the thread from the developer about Revolution HD 19.0.
Had I made a new thread about this, you'd have told me to look up other threads on the same topic before creating a new one...
Anyway, I sincerely apologize if I made your day worse somehow with my irrelevant post in such an old thread... I hope you will forgive me
