My CA Antivirus Shotcut has Gone

Accidentally I Clicked on CA Antivirus Icon so it prompted me to Install CA Antivirus but i didn't want to install at that time so I Cancelled the Installation but when I Reffered to Programs I found that the Shortcut of CA Has gone ,Do you anyway to make the shortcut(CA Icon) back to Programs List in case of Deciding to Install that , cause I don't want to Hard reset my device..So many apps need a loong time to install again. 8)

you need to install total commander on your device.
open total commander and type \extended_rom and it will show you a list of files in your ext rom.
the file you need is Default_CAVVP_IMIE_2.6......
(just double click that file and you will have a install shortcut in programs)

Some files missing after softreset

I had encountered a problem with my prophet..
it is overclocked at 216 mhz.
Recently I noticed some files went missing...
especially unsigned exe files located in prophet memory [ not storage card]
i have placed pocketblogger inside the "program files" [ manual install , not cab install ]... after 2 days and a few soft resets later... it was missing.
anyone had similar problems?

Access Extended ROM on Herald

I tried to set the values manually in the registry - doesn't work
I run EXTROM_Utility - also no new folder visible
Does anybody know guys?
I played a little much with all the dialers but after some experience, I want to load the default HTC one without hardreseting the device.

have you tried using total commander... type 'extended_rom' and it should reveal the files in that folder,

Nothing interesting inside ext. rom !
I had a look into the Extended_ROM with Total Commander, but there is nothing to use inside or it is hidden. I`ve seen the following :
...
- Config.txt with 162 bytes
- MP_CVSDcpl_20060920.cab with 95.2 kbytes
- PP_DefaultPage_WWE.cab with 61.7 kbytes
- PP_ExtVer.xml with 292 bytes
...
Rom Version is : 1.8.407.1 GERMAN

What I actually did was changing some values in registry using Resco Explorer:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\AutoLoad\TRUEFFS_DOC1]
Set "Bootphase"=dword:00000002
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Profiles\TRUEFFS_DOC1]
Set "MountHidden"=dword:00000000
Wait for 4-5 seconds for settings to take effect and soft reset your device.
Nothing interesting was actually in the ExtRom thow:
MP_CVSDcpl_20060920.cab
PP_DefaultPage_WWE.CAB
ST_re_v2.CAB
ST_STK_UIPPC_v4.31.CAB

another wm6 for spv c500

i edited this rom to make it work for the spv c500. I present a new wm6 rom for c500.
1. Rebuilt from M$ dogfood build packages, didnt modify anything with rgucomp
2. Added Total Commander,CeleTask, Tao 10, STK, USSD, T9 (tegic) russian and english
3. Removed Catalog, ApproveUpdate, AutoUpdate,Sqm,Sql server mobile, WinLive (you can find a cab or make one), Office (there are cabs with office for wm5 ripped from new builds floating)
4. Coredll 5.2.1235 (well, i am going to port a newer build later), changed compression of imgfs to LZX (os image is 27 mb, you can flash with old wm5 spl or with new from wm6, if you use new spl, type in mtty before loading rom)
format BINFS 01b00000
format FATFS
you should now have more storage
5. Camera works with pictures and videos, if you push camera button, it opens pictures and videos
6. Removed HTC debug apps (except Registry Editor)
7. fixed imgfs, no module overlaps))
8. Removed hd.dll, osaxst0.dll, relfsd.dll from XIP - boots faster, freed several KB of ram
9. Security Policy - Security Off - no confirmations on cab and exe launch
10. Added lots of htc and wm6 sdk test certificates
11. cabs don`t get removed after installation
Edit: oh, i forgot to add total commander shortcut and it seems camera key doesnt open pictures and videos, if any shortcuts are missing - find them in \windows dir and add manually - seems to be a bug of the build 15341

where are the german roms for feeler and amadeus? there was a version with german language... is there no one out there who can modify it??? there are enough roms for typhoon/c500!

That the name of file included in wm6.rar from link.
I have tried tu rename-it in wm6.bin same thing append
Before I try this rom I had 565wm6 that work great (but without customisation)

I have change from TeraTerm to MTTY 1.42 tu upload the rom file and it work!.
So that TeraTerm who blocking me

The ROM version is I5800XXJPA and what I would do it is to change the default apps, the home and that ...
Do not know how to edit files inside the file. tar!
The files are:
-boot.bin (200 kb)
-cache.rfs (5 MB)
-factoryfs.rfs (210 MB)
-logo.png (5 kb)
-modem.bin (16 MB)
-Sbl.bin (785 kb)
-zImage (4 MB)
