I want to use EzWAP2.5 but i cannot get the settings for Telstra (AU) to allow me to Recieve/Send MMS messages. I would also like to obtain the settings for Optus (AU) as my fiance has a o2 on Optus. If anyone can help us, that would be good.
Why don't you call telstra 1800636785 for MMS & GPRS setting?
My eng is bad so I waitting for you to get the answer and post it there
The best thing would be to call Telstra so they can send the setting via SMS and you can install it on your phone!
For optus, go to the following link and enter your phone model and number and they send the sms to your phone! So you could try that

G'day!
Can anyone help me configure the settings to get mms working for OPTUS in EZWap 2.5? (in Australia!) I have rung OPTUS but they are no help because they don't support 3rd party programs... Just keep getting 'Send failed' message. I have the settings for the XDA2 (attached), but I can't seem to convert them to the XDA1
The generic setup for EZWap 2.5 is here: http://www.myxda.com/web/template/ShopEzWAPHowTo.vm/shop_item_name/EzWAP
UPDATE
Well, I've made a little progress - I now seem to be able to send mms messages, but not recieve them. OPTUS seemed stumped as well. EZWap seems to work on Aus carriers - O2 has a page explaining setting it up for Telstra, but not OPTUS. It also specifically mentions push settings for RECIEVING mms...
Any help from out there would be much appreciated!
UPDATE
It seems I have worked out the problem (I think!)
I checked the 'conectionless push gateway' box (dunno why!) and I have been able to send an mms to myself. I have recieved 1 successful mms from someone else and 2 blank messages - 1 was a reply and the other was a 'movie' (so they said) which didn't work - but at least I recieved SOMETHING!
Thanks to Blue from here and MattM at www.mtekk.com.au/ (great site - visit it NOW!) who were quick to help me out. You guys are the BEST!
Would anyone be able to take the time to post here in detail the settings for O2 MMS in Ireland on a contract bill plan?
I was on to o2 support but it didn't work and got the impression the staff wasn't really up to 100% on the XDA - probably more used to regular cellphones.
I'd appreciate the help from someone with a working mms service on o2 contract.
Many thanks to all
Conor
you could try the o2 website,
there is a section in mms area (get the settings), which allows you to send yourself the appropriate settings via sms.
try it anyway and let us know how u get on.
I'm in the north so the settings may not be applicable for your region.
good luck anyway.
Thanks but no settings there
Cheers, but they only allow you to send the settings and install them automatically by sms. There's no option to send to an XDA - just Nokia etc...
Can someone just copy them down here from their o2 monthly contract XDA?
Thanks again
Conor
ok conor,
we'll give it a go then, what details do you need and I'lli try to supply them.
MMS blues...
Thanks David!
I'm not sure if N. Ireland settings are the same for Galway but sure, let's see!
For a start, does it connect via MMS Network, or GPRS or My ISP, or The Internet etc.?
I can't send at all. But I do receive notifications of a new mms and who it's from, but when I tap download it tries to download but gets stuck there forever without succeeding. Here's what I got from o2 support but it doesn't work.
Connect to server O2IE (the server name)
Gateway - 192.168.090.074
Server address http://mmsc.mms.o2.ie:8002 (I think!)
Thanks again!

MMS O2 Ireland
Hi Dan
Thanks for that - but I doubt the uk settings would work in Ireland.
O2 here tried to help so I guess I'm registered for these services.
GPRS works fine the prob is just MMS
Thanks again though!
If any Irish o2 pay monthly users could copy down their settings it might help.
Best regards to all
Conor
Conor,
sorry this took so long, got kinda busy elsewere.
have just looked and the connection was set on My Work Network,
I thought it was/should be, via the MMS network.
will have to try and see if it is still working.
the rest of the settings you gave matched mine except for the .ie replacing the .uk, and different gateway no's, this again could be a UK thing.
If I remember correctly I had some serious trouble at the beginning, I think it was something to do with the Rom version, when I upgraded it from 1.60, the MMS service started to function perfectly.
Rom?
Hi
My ROM is 1.60.00WWE
do you know if I'm up to date?
Cheers!
Conor
Hi Conor,
If you unlock your extended rom, there will be a couple of files relating to O2 customisation. It's made easier by using the horrible Active Today settings which can custimise your device for use in Ireland. I'm sure the settings are also made for the mms program. (sorry, I don't use it myself!)
As for the rom version, I think the lastest O2 rom is 1.66 which is available from their site, you could also go to version 1.72 which is available from this site. I'm at 1.72 and think it's fine.
Cheerio
Howard
Thanks Howard, David and all!
I'll try upgrading the RoM
very grateful indeed

Hi, can anyone give me step by step instructions on how to be able to receive MMS on my UK Vodaphone contract TyTn?
Everything else works except the MMS
If it's like T-mobile phones, to enable the MMS receive service you need to send an MMS message to yourself. I think anyway... Possibly the same for Vodafone.
I have created this new thread as I have searched several days now trying to get vodafone live working on my telstra htc hd2 with no luck. I have contacted customer support on 1555 to send me the setting via sms but i never got it. I have also gone to the australian vodafone website to get the wap setting via sms but my screen just briefly lights up but doesn't show that any sms has been recieved hence i can't get the correct settings. I have also tried manual set up instructions on the vodafone web site but they do not work as well since it asks for passwords etc. I found a thread before talking about vodafone live on this website but it is based on the new zealand web site and assumes that you have got the correct vodafone wap setting etc which is what I cannot get no matter what I try.
Does anyone now how to get vodafone australia wap setting on the htc hd2 and hence get vodafone live working on the telstra htc hd2 handset. Instructions right from the very start would be really appreciated.
Sorry I cannot be of more assistance, but in case you don't hear anything in this thread, try posting in the T9193 thread in this forum (search button will help you find it.) Though, it's dominated by Americans importing the phone
Hi, I've had my hd2 working on vodafone (sim is now in my Desire) . Even with the telstra rom your apn settings should be automatically set when you insert the sim. If you don't have any luck then you might need to flash the rom (and rid it of the bloatware).
First you need to flash an older Telstra rom from shipped-roms.com (1.46). Then you will be able to use hard spl (hardspl.exe), then flash any rom and radio from this fine website. I personally like ozrom or artemis. These roms will automatically set your apn and work.
If you can't be stuffed and know where to update the settings:
apn... vfinternet.au
No username or password.
For vodafone.mms try
Apn…live.vodafone.com
Mmsc...http://pxt.vodafone.net.au/pxtsend
Mms proxy...10.202.2.60
Port. 8080
Mcc.. 505
Mnc.. 03
Apn type.. mms
Authentication .. not set
These are straight from my fone.
JJ
hi thanks for the reply, I do have the vodafone setting when I click start etc so i can recieve my credit in phone via sms etc but its just that I need some way to input the correct vodafone live settings into the phone. Surely this can be done without flashing the rom how else am I making calls etc from my vodafone sim card.
any mobile shops in sydney know how to flash the telstra model
Hello,
I'm from belgium and my wife has a samsung i5500 using proximus as gsm operator.
Yesterday, she got a message about a MMS sent to here, which she couldn't receive.
I started to search how i have to configure the phone to be able to receive MMS.
I found i have to set 2 APN's, one for internet and one for MMS.
Because my wife doesn't have a special data agreement, it is very expensive when she is using internet on her phone.
Because of this, i didn't want to set the internet-settings, just the mms-settings.
When i want to send a mms, it fails.
Do i really need to set these internet apn-settings if i only want to send and receive MMS?
If yes, is it really using a data-connection over internet for sending or receiving a mms?
Greetings from someone who is afraid the GSM operator will become richer on his back.
