dev rom based on ppc2003? - MDA, XDA, 1010 Software Upgrading

Do you intend developing a dev rom based on the ppc2003?

Hi,
I don`t see a reason to do so.
If you want a special edition based on WM2003 go to the ROM Kitchen and make it yourself. You get all the goodies from the SE 1.2 and the WM2003 as operating OS, so I personally don`t see the need of a dev rom.

ROM difference?

Hi! im new to this and I havn't tried to upgrade any ROM for my atom except for the ROM in the o2 website which is the 20060426B1WWE. I have read in the forums that there are a lot of ROM's available for upgrade and as far as I got it right, the AKU 3.3.3 is the final ROM and is stable for the WM5 platform? (kindly correct me if im wrong.) I want to know what is the difference between the AKU 3.3.3 and 20060426B1WWE ROM. Hows is the upgrade process? is it the same? I just download the ROM, run the .EXE file and wait till the upgrade is finished? Would love to know your inputs. tnx!
ROM for Atom is like OS for PCs. ROM comes in different features, different patches and different applications. The latest ROM from O2 is like a standard upgrade only. And it has been a long time since O2 released an upgrade to their ROM. Here in the forums, there is a lot of versions of ROM that you can use. But it is advisable to back up all your files first, including contacts, messages, notes, tasks, calendar notes / reminders and the likes 'coz once you upgrade your ROM all informations will be wiped out. The latest ROM that is available here is Sir Jiggs' WM6 AKU0.7.0 WWE. I myself use that ROM also and I'm very satisfied with it. (Thanks Sir Jiggs for the wonderful ROM! ). Though its an evaluation version, it works perfect on my Atom. If in any case, you didn't like the ROM after you upgraded it, you don't need to worry also because you can still go back to your previous ROM. Try reading other threads also to get an idea regarding the different ROMs. Gud luck!

[Ques] How is SPL version specified

Sorry if this is stupid question but when cooking a rom, how or where is the spl version of the device specified?
Is this something I need to cook in specifically or does the rom's sys etc dictate the spl version needed?
Basically I am trying to create a base rom for my spare athena, I have dumped a stock 6.0 rom and plan to port a 6.5 build to it, giving me a base to work from, but the athena can use 2 spl's 1.2 and 3.5 and I dont want to mess anything up.
Many thanks
Sean

WM5 to new

I have Universal and got a question.
Can I use WM5 stock ROM to cook WM6.1 or 6.5?
Are there any dfferences between cooking from stock/base WM5 and from base WM6.1 to newer versions?
Yes it is, cause the core is different...
but you can go to the HTC Universal forum and download a 6.5 or 6.1 kitchen by any chef and get the OEM and ROM folders you will need the native 6.5 kernel too read the tutorials here to set or port a new device into OSkitchen or EVK

if your bootloader is unlocked and you have a custom recovery you can flash the hlte or the hltechn versions of any ROM in the note 3 forums. Stay away from exynos. Very different chipset.
