In Connections, under Select Modem choose "Cellular Line (GPRS)". Access Point name is INTERNETG.

If you have no luck here, contact Smart and they should be able to send them to your phone.

It is not. All you are doing is adding gprs setups to my isp. Once you have this setup your system will use wifi network if available else it will initiate gprs connection. I am using this setup for long time. Don't do this if you don't have good data plan.

This has 0% to do with wi-fi and 100% to do with GPRS. One (wi-fi) uses the internal wireless card, and the other (GPRS) uses the cellular connection , which is much slower and generally costlier and can also use more battery if not careful than wi-fi. I only hope nobody uses this thinking it will solve a wi-fi connection issue because they are going to be hurt in the wallet when they get their next cell phone bill. GPRS is generally extremely expensive and adds up very fast. Most companies charge per kilobit it takes many kilbits to load just one webpage. Be warned if you attempt to use this "solution".

Hi,
I have a hidden connection (Name : MMS) in my connection manager(Made automatically) which I see it is for MMS. Is it possible to make it visible?
The problem is that when I am trying to make connection from laptop it is using automatically this connection (by *99#).
Thx
to view the settings of the hidden one (its not really hidden, you can only see one modem connection at once)
Mine are 'mobile web' and 'o2 active', with o2 active being the hidden mms one, replace mine with whatever yours are called.
settings menu all settings connections connections advanced select networks
change the dropdown from 'mobile web' to 'o2 active', and you will find when you jump back to the tasks tab it is now showing the hidden one, and you can access its settings by tapping 'manage existing connections'.
Of course, now the original one is hidden and your programs will try to use the mms one, and probably fail.
