does any one has experince in upgrading a US T-Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition with a German ROM Version ?
My concerns are that the German versions are supporting different GSM frequencies than the US Version. And I read here that you never should upgrade a German phone with a US version it will ruin your phone but if I try to upgrade a US version with a German Version does it also ruin my phone ?
Is this a problem ?
I think, that there should be no problem, to use the German Version in your US-MDA, if your just upgrading the RUU - File.
This leaves the Radi unit untouched.
But i don't know what happend if you use different languages in the RUU and RSU files....

You may be disapointed. The CE part DOES contain band specific information. If you update a USA unit with a European build you will no longer be able to switch between 900 and 1900 band operation.
The Us device is Model PW10B1 and there is no german ROM Upgrade somewhere out there (but if you can find a matching one, please tell me...)
I wouldn't try to upgrade if you still want to use the band-switching function 900/1900.
I've upgraded my XDA to WM2003 T-mobile build and it just crashes over and over, so I need to downgrade back to PPC2002. Does anyone know where I can get the T-mobile build? lumpistefan just has European and Asian builds for PPC2002.

I can find tmobile 2003 here but it is a trial demo version.

EU vs. us roms are the same that is if they are english language (which most are) and could be that settings and extra included programs differ also
of cause radiostacks are different because of the 900/1800 vs. 900/1900

They are GSM Compatible Radios, but, I am pretty sure CDMA will use a different Radio.

I would say, 3.14.407.2 is newer, but maybe the zero is not important and 466 or 4666 is higher than 407...

Just go to HTC's website in your country and get latest rom from there, They will be dated.
Thanks for your answer but I did this already. The problem is that I couldn't find the 3.14.04666 version on the htc website (which is installed on my HD2), but found 3.14.407.2. Thats why I'm asking this question...
Yeah. I been looking around for the lastest rom too. I'm still using 2.15. And this **** is ****ing up hard.
the .407 is the HTC German version.
.406 HTC French
.405 HTC WWE
.404 HTC Netherlands
There is also version numbers specific for country operators (ie Vodafone Germany, Orange UK, T-Mobile US).
Yea the third set of numbers are region not version.

I just come back from a US trip and I had a problem with my french HTC HD2. I was unable to detect any US network. My provider (free Mobile) propose roaming in US so no problem from this side. I have the Radio Rom 2.15.50.14 (exactly 15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14) and the NexusHD2_JellyBean Android Rom. I have no problem in many countries in Europe but no way in USA (NY in particular) and in Canada.
Is this a Radio Rom issue? Is there any universal radio rom? Is it a question of parameters?
I will have to go again in US and I would like to find a solution.
