I bet you-ve answered this loads of times but cannot see it on the forum...
Is the UK O2 serial cable sold on their site / in the stores the correct type to use to unlock the XDA?
I need to unlock but don't want to waste money on the wrong cable.
Many thanks
Rog

I recently bought a serial cradle to unlock my XDA. Now it's unlocked I have no use for the cradle anymore. So if anybody would be interested in buying it let me know.
I payed 64,- euro for the cradle just a couple of days ago and it's been used only once. So I'd like to sell it for 50,- euro. I ship within the Netherlands only.
Interested? Send an email to [email protected]

Can anyone point me to a place/Website where a Serial Cable is available for the XDA.
While in the UK I thought I had unlocked my PDA, with a borrowed cable and the Software download from this site.
When I got back home, I found it had not worked properly so I want to try it again.
I do not want to make my own cable.
Any suggestions please
ebay sells them for $5.99.
Enter xda,serial in ebay search.

Hi All,
Can anyone help me?
I want my XDA unlatched but I dont have a serial cable. I am aware that the unlatching code is a derivative of the phone's IMEI number. I was wondering if any of the XDA Developers have got around to deciphering the way unlatching codes are created against the IMEI numbers?
Any help would be appreciated.

HI
Go to ebay uk and type xda under search. Tons of cables selling there; some as low as £6. Bought one myself, unlocked with xda manipulator within secs. Why bother working out derivatives here or there?
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Some people here have been ripping people off, charging 40£ just for unlocking the spv 5000 when you can get the software your self for only 0.99£
Here, go ebay, and get the software and unlock HTC universal phones:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Unlock-XDA-EX...ryZ69927QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
or jus search for "unlock exec" on ebay.co.uk
FAIR PRICING! BUSINESS WITH MORALS!! dont give in to rip offs!
The advert title mentions the M5000 but it's not actually in the list of compatible devices :?:
I beleive it works for all versions of Exec. But im not sure, that ebay auction is not mine. Message the seller to see if SPV M5000 is supported? In the list O2 XDA EXEC is there, so thats supported.
Umm yeah it works on the Exec because the Exec is ALREADY UNLOCKED.
If something is too good to be true, it most probably is not.
and if you read the full advert it says the following at the end:
"it is easy just connect your xda 2 2s 2i .. with ur pc run the file on it then follow the instructions and it will be opened."
No mention of universals.....

Jeez, you still banging on about this....
It doesnt work with SPV M5000 or any locked universal device...
Its the same program that you can download here to unlock the himalaya etc which doesnt work on universal...
It worked on JasJar and XDA Exec as they are ALREADY unlocked...
sheesh...

Yeah, 'cos selling something that's on the 'net ( ON THIS SITE) for free is very moral....
the people selling the codes for the m5000 are at least doing some work.

So you want to get back the price you paid including postage AND they have to pay postage? Hmmmm, I can see lots of buyers stampeding towards you for that one, especially as only the original purchaser gets support for the item....
Richard
I said offers for around £38 didnt mean Exactly £38 did I. Original Buyer gets support so will the buyer aynt it? All they have to do is plug in the USB and then open the software and click support. Isnt It? Even if they dont get support, you just logon on to the XDA Developers FTP server and download the certain flash you need and then extract them files using winzip or winrar and then Open up the JAFWM software and hit flash simple as that.
Price changed to £33 Including Shipping.
