The last few firmware releases , I've noticed missed calls and terrible signal strength. I'm, desperately hoping these issues are solved.
What issue is everyone hoping 13.1 will fix ?
For the people who are using OOS 13.1, how is your experience ?
AOSP users, using the 13.1 firmware . What is impacted the most? ( if anything ) .
How did you choose to update? OTA, or wish master FW ?

I just got my redmi 3s and noticed that officially the MIUI 8 version is still a "develoer rom".
Does it works well? any performance or important battery life issues that makes it better to wait for a more polished rom for my 3s?

I tried it a few weeks ago - Could not get google services working so reverted to the 7.x stable build.
Downloading MIUI8 now though
it has some new features
if it's better or worse (i have 3 , not 3s) i don't know , but i don't have a reason to go back to 7 (i didn't notice any problem yet)
Not stable yet but it have great feature, maybe a little bit more drain on battery but with a 4100 mah, who cares??

Hi, sorry if in wrong thread. I bought 3s prime for my son's Xmas present and wondering whether I will eventually receive an ota. Current miui version is Global 7.3 stable 7.3 .10.0.0 (MALCNDE ). I know some have 7.5 but mine says no updates available. Will I have to flash something different to enable ota or will I just receive it in good time ? Thanks
@timbohobbs You will need to flash official Global via MiFlash. Your version is modified by vendor.
Try global beta rom 6.9.1 (miui 8) with miflash beta and you will get ota
The dev update is going well, update every week and has a lot of features, current problem is blocked 4G LTE for some devices, but it could be done by root via TWRP
Sir can you provide us the oxygen os like rom? Like how nexus 5x will get google pixel rom as same we want oxygen os nougat..!!try to understand our problem oneplus had declared there is no nougat for one plus2..!!only oxygen os nougat is enough for us..!! Please think of it..!!

Well i asked on Openkirin's support group on telegram about bugs and they told me that every rom comes with sound and microphone bug sometimes due to strange implementation that huawei/honor made originally. So with that in mind i'm very scared about trying to flash because i NEED a working microphone. Anyone on H8 facing this bug? Are you facing other bugs? Should i stay on EMUI 8 for now? Tell me your toughts
flashed every openkirin rom (LOS, OMNI, CARBON, RROS, androidP with android features) Los had i think the best battery but i enjoyed carbon and omnirom the best
You could go to android P but i have strange bootloop if i set fingerprint
cameras are great on openkirin roms
just flash every one if you have time, you wont regret it

I don't know, the team was talking about the Openkirin's ones. But yes, all Openkirin Roms have those bugs they said

I tried the Kirin GSI AOSP Android 9.0 Pie ROM, it overheats the phone when I'm charging it. Are there any other Pie ROMs that I can install on my phone or I have to wait until the OpenKirin team makes a stable Pie GSI?

This takes me to a file sharing site that needs scam surveys to download, so I can't download it. Other ideas?
At the moment, there isn't a good rome (Pie 9.0 is intended) that meets your requests. So i think is better to wait for an openkirin release (wich should come not so far....)

How did you flashed the Pixel Experience GSI on H8...It didn't boot up for me on my device...

They said it will be in Q1 2019 early last year. Now it's delayed again. With tons of new device line redmi6, redmi 7, poco, mi a2 etc. I doubted we will get any Pie for sagit. Go custom since most Pie rom has already stable.
According to miui.com admin android P for Mi6 is now in internal testing so Q2 is possible.
"9.4.11 was the last Weekly for Mi 6 that's based on Android 8.

Global beta for mi6 is suspended because they are testing android pie. Finally great news but its interesting how things look with widevine drm, camera api 2 and project treble. I think nothing will be change in this aspects.

Yes. there is couple of semi stable sgsis. op7pro 5g gsi with available fixes has slow screen open and fp offscreen needs double tap but otherwise it´s stable. op6t port should be stable after flashing the fixes and There´s also a aura mod but I haven´t tested so no idea about stability. links are in lavender gsi discussion telegram group
