I used TWRP to install a recent Android 10 version of Resurrection Remix on my Moto G 2015. It works fine but it seems to have replaced my recovery (TWRP) with a Resurrection Remix recovery system that lacks most of the functions of TWRP. I want to install Gapps but without TWRP I cannot do it. I tried to reflash recovery with fastboot and a twrp image but it won't actually flash because the new recovery system apparently won't allow for that. How do I get TWRP back, or if not that, how do I get Gapps installed without TWRP?

Root the RR and in adb mode flash TWRP.img using the dd command. Do a search on your own on XDA for how to do this.

I am currently using MIUI 8 and i hate it.
I want to go back to Resurrection Rom. But the problem is when installing, i think i used wrong command and flashed the boot image (fastboot flash boot).
Now if i install any ROM other than MIUI 8, it does not work. Goes into bootloop. I can boot into TWRP recovery using fastboot. But after successfully flashing my Resurrection Rom, the phone starts, MI logo appears and it reboots again after a screen flicker.
Please advise on how i can install Resurrection Rom again. Also i can only boot into recovery using TWRP 3.0.0, any other recovery like Stock, Philz (CWM) are not working. I can only boot into recovery using fastboot boot twrp3.0.0.img command.
Thanks

If fastboot method is not working for 3.0.2.0 version then ,Just try to flash t.w.r.p 3.0.2.0.img (download from here)by flashify or rashr app. Then reboot in to recovery and flash any custom rom.
u can also flash recovery image file by your existing recovery.
And why using only fast boot command?U can boot to recovery by updater app or button combo.

ok i got onto fast boot
I've been getting bootloops after installing Magisk on my OnePlus 5 unlocked bootloader , rooted before at 4.5.15.
I directly updated it to 5.0.2 which resulted in many errors in the end had to flash it completely and then clean install the ROM .
The ROM works perfectly with almost no trouble.
I then flashed almost all Magisk versions I could get hold of (14.5,15.2,15.3,15.4(beta))
But none of them could get past the boot animation.
I've also flashed the no Verity mod file both before and after the flashing of Magisk nothing worked.
But everytime after all this I flash the Magisk uninstaller and I get easily get back to using the device but without root.
Anyone help me rooting this ?
The ROM has been downloaded from official OnePlus website and the twrp I'm using is the codeworkx version.
First do this then tell me how it went.
1. Boot to fastboot and flash twrp-3.2.1-0-universal-codeworkx-cheeseburger.img via command window, make sure you have adb installed on pc.
2. Then boot DIRECTLY to twrp.
3. Dirty flash OOS 5.0.2 over your current rom in twrp and then wipe dalvik and cache.
4. Then boot into fastboot DIRECTLY again and flash twrp-3.2.1-0-universal-codeworkx-cheeseburger.img again.
5. Boot into twrp directly and flash Magisk 15.2.zip
6. Finally boot into the system.
7. Optional: then you can go ahead and update Magisk via it's own flash tool.
I'm already on 5.0.2 so do I dirty flash it again?
I flashed TWRP onto my phone, but didn't have Magisk in internal storage so I started up my phone. Now I can't get back to TWRP through recovery or the bootloader. I tried flashing TWRP again and booting to recovery, but that didn't work.
What rom are you using? And what version of TWRP.
I'm on the default OxygenOS rom, and TWRP 3.2.2.0 cheeseburger.
I mainly need TWRP for installing Magisk, not a new rom.

3.2.2-0 is broken and best avoided. Stick with the latest codeworkx Recovery or previous Official for now.

I formatted my Oneplus 6t and was able to install TWRP, but when I install the zip for LineageOS, instead of installing it as the OS, it just replaces the TWRP recovery with a Lineage one, and I am still unable to boot into system.

What version of twrp are you using? Did you use the twrp installer when installing twrp?

Solution is simple. After you flash ROM ZIP flash TWRP Installer ZIP again. Flashing ROM only Replaces TWRP with the Stock Recovery. As for why it didn't boot, there can be a number of reasons why. You'll have to explain some more so that we can help you
Lineage has it's own recovery included, that's normal. You need to reflash TWRP. Make sure you are using 3.3.1-6 or 3.3.1-7 (the latest versions) either will work.
TWRP Link in case you don't have it.
6T Lineage Install Instructions , I also have update instructions at the bottom, as the initial install is different. (It says to back everything up, as you will wipe everything, and lose all data)
I always flash the rom twice. Flash rom and TWRP, reboot recovery and flash rom and TWRP again. Reboot recovery, wipe(first option don't wipe data), flash magisk, gapps or anything else then reboot system.
