I also had issues when I first tried rooting my phone with odin. I ended up using Kingo to root my phone at first. After that it has been smooth sailing flashing custom roms. I am assuming you are running a rooted 4.3 or are you on a stock 4.3 trying to flash to an official kitkat?
Sent from my SM-N900V using XDA Free mobile app
I've tried to install an official firmware (one file) for Note 3 after I've installed the leaked firmware, and I get an size error in odin. Help?
If I reinstall the leaked that is 5 files includind pit everything is working normaly.
I use
N9005XXUGBOA5_N9005XEOGBOA4_N9005XXUGBOA1_HOME.tar.md5
this file and flash it in odin as PDA on my N9005 without any problem.
(may be not the same case as you?)
If you have a 16 GB phone then you need to flash a ROM which is meant for 16 GB phones.
I failed to flash the German 5.0 ROM on my 32 GB unit, while the Polish version flashed just fine.
The was a similar issue with 4.4 with the DBT firmware back when that came out. People who had used the first DBT version couldn't flash any other official firmware over it once that came out because of the size error. Turned out they had to use the pit file. This could be similar.

I have a similiar problem too. I tried to flash Polish version of Lolipop but Odin prompted a size error. Now my phone is in download mode and Kies doesn't support the device. So can't do anything else.
Does anyone knows how to do ?
thanks in advance.

Hello, I have the 128GB version of the Galaxy Tab S5e, and i followed the guide on here to unlock the bootloader and root with magisk. I have the latest magisk, and patched my AP file with what said it was the latest version from frija. But now when i open any kind of file explorer (ive tried 3 different ones, including the native Files app that comes on the tablet) it says storge space is XX.XXGB / 32.00GB. It also says 32GB if i plug it into my pc and check from windows explorer. Any idea why? I also made sure i used the correct CSC when picking my AP file to patch btw
It's says in the guide NOT TO flash the patched AP file alone or odin will resize the data partition. Go back to the guide and flash full firmware again.
I tried to install a rom on my sm-t295 and it’s partitioned to 8gb! I can’t run any app on it being 8gb, if someone can help that would be super awesome!!
Which rom is it , are you successful in rooting the device(Sm-t295. . I guess you need factory reset in that rom check if it works
Try flashing it with pit file
- Odin
- Pit file tab
- A pit file (from the internet, you must find for your device)
Flash and boom
32 gb back
