Question WA detected (auto logout) custom ROM - Nothing Phone 1

WA detected (auto logout) custom ROM (i use project elixir Rom)
is there any solution for this problem?
maybe something like hiding root from app
but this hides rom from app (whatsapp)

Is you safetynet passing? Are you rooted?
Whatsapp is modt likely detecting that safetynet is not passing, you can check your safetynet using the yasnac app from the playstore.I am rooted myself on a custom rom and I never had this problem.

To make safetynet pass again you can use a magisk module.

I use 2 banking apps
And i hide my root phone with magisk module (shamiko) and work 100%, my banking apps work (not detect root)
.
My Whatsapp not detect root
But my Whatsapp detect my custom ROM
.
Note : I have 3 phone
my nothing phone use Project Elexir (WhatsApp detect rom)
my poco F1 use corvus (WhatsApp not detect rom)
my miA1 use LineAge (WhatsApp not detect rom)
.
All rooted and all use banking app (100% work) and all use WhatsApp (but nothing phone detected

Even if all your banking apps work it could be that whatsapp detects for safetynet and I would suggest to you that you try to install this module and see if whatsapp works again and if your safetynet is passing.
You can also try to install an older version of whatsapp or reset whatsapps data to get it working again.

Banking App not working after root, safety net intact

I use the PSECU banking app imln peticular. If I remove magisk and reboot, it will work. But installing magisk breaks the app when launching. Safety net is intact when magisk is installed. Anyone know of any solutions? I can only either use GPay or my bank app.....

did you try "hiding" root from the app using magisk hide?

I have bad news for you - more and more banks use Trusteer sdk now and I was not able to fool it yet - it has a different than just safenet check....
Sent from my [device_name] using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Have you tried using the Magisk Hide module ?
Following
Iirc, they check to see if the bootloader is unlocked and not if the device is actually rooted.

Not hiding root

Hello, I've recently installed the newest version of LineageOS17.1 on my beloved S5. I'm using Magisk (latest version) and I tried hiding my root via 1st - changing the package name and 2nd - Magisk Hide. I used to play a lot of Pokemon GO and it was working perfectly fine on LineagesOS 15, back then. Sadly, it's no longer working - this time, however, I'm using my phone not only for Pokemon GO (that inflicts a problem with rooted phones) but also a bank app. It's crucial for me to use the bank app as it has a limit and whenever I'd like to spend >50$, I have to enter a code which is generated on the app only. So, is there a way to properly hide my root?
I'm on LineageOS17.1, with mod for increased speaker volume and custom kernel (Tuned Kernel by fbs).

Did you try toggling Magisk hide off/on as per Magisk support thread?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/mod-magisk-v1-universal-systemless-t3432382
@Didgeridoohan has a good article on the matter here:
https://didgeridoohan.com/magisk/MagiskHide#hn_Hiding_root_from_apps
Principially Magisk Hide is working in this state and e. g. my banking app was, too.
Other users have full support, but i don't know what's wrong here.
Everything Magisk was special when i tried Los17. Bootlooping after a Magisk update with successful reboot after the umpteenth time.
Endless boot after installation of the Youtube Vanced module. Entering TWRP at boot also was impossible(but you could access Fastboot), but there seemed to be some watchdog timer and after about 30min Twrp came up instead of the os.

Bypass Root Detection?

Hi,
I'm hoping I am posting this in the right place but after installing Magisk on OOS11 I am unable to bypass Root detection on my banking apps, I have used Magisk Hide and this shows all okay with safetynet but using Root Beer it still detects SU binaries etc.
I thought it was somehow detecting the unlocked bootloader but after uninstalling Magisk and leaving the bootloader unlocked the apps function okay.
If anyone is able to help that would be great, many thanks!
Have you tried repackaging Magisk?
Hi, yes I tried that to but still detected su binaries etc.
have you try to use Xposed module: Root Cloak?
for some apps, I can successfully bypass the root detection.
sadly for my banking apps, it's just no use. somehow it still detect the root even the xposed. so I decided not to root my phone
but, I think it might work for some banking app.
Hi, thank you for the idea but still no luck, I'm using Starling Bank if anyone else is also having the same issue.
I use starling bank also, but magisk hide is working as it should
Also force stop the app, clear the data&cache, re add to magisk hide the try again
Ps - root beer will detect su binaries; that's it's purpose. But when you use magiskhide on root beer it hides them as expected.

Magisk with Finance Apps

Hello all, finally got my OnePlus 8Pro rooted using Magisk Canary (Latest one without separate manager app.) I pass the SafetyNet check and can access some of my banking apps but for some reason my E*Trade still sees the root status. I tried using Magisk Hide to well hide it but I still get the error., "This devices has been identified as a rooted devices, which is not supported by E*TRADE."
This is probably one of my most used apps and would love to know of a work-around besides unrooting the phone.
Thanks in advanced!

Can't get GPay or my banking app to work

Hey everyone, I'm pretty new with ROMs and everything regarding Android, but I've been trying to flash an AOSP ROM, whether official or not, just to get GPAY or my banking app to work on my A20e.
You can download the apps, they run fine, you can add your card and input the SMS code and everything, only problem is at the last step where GPay just gives me a standard error and my banking app gives me a "Digitization not finalized".
I got both GPAY and BTPay (my banking app) to work with the stock rom, so It can't be the card itself.
Has anyone ran into this or managed to fix it?
Have you rooted the device with Magisk? If so, go to the Magisk settings and toggle on 'MagiskHide'
