I have awfull experience with Tesla android TV 55S906BUS
Tesla support team send me newer firmware, which was successfuly installed, and tv now turns on and has only black screen. Nothing responds, remote controll, physical button... nothing.
Tried installing it again, went successfully, but same result.
Does anyone have compatible firmware?

In service menu, TV was displayed as Skyworth, Tesla send me file which was named "Mstar -------"
So there is something common between those 3 brands (expected)
But nor tesla neither Skyworth, neither Mstar can help. They suggest to try local official service , which is a joke.
TV is 55" , board model is 9K53G , Android 10, 2GB ram 16GB rom.
Update file that i got is .bin
I have downloaded and checked all firmwares listed on skyworth Philippines, but there in none , compatible with board 9K53G.

I bought it on eBay one head unit with the following originals characteristics:
CPU: Cortex A9 Dual-Core 1Ghz
GPU: Mali 400
RAM: 1GB DDR3
Android Version: 4.4 (but really is 4.2)
MCU original Version: 4.3.11-1-03-615101-150112
System Version: 2.9.5_20150413
Anyway, I tried to update the MCU with the head unit who brought extra settings -> model choose, but the upgrade to 4.3.13 everything works fine except the lights that indicate the volume level, and that is not moved up or down the volume.
I suppose that changing the MCU has stopped working. How could recover the original MCU?
I contacted the seller, but no longer sold items on eBay and I doubt I answer.

There is a setting that could rectify your problem. You had the setting open on your 2nd picture (model choose).
You probably have to try several models to see if one will work for you. Each time you choose one the unit will set the parameters then reboot ... do not interupt this.
After it reboots try your various controls to see what has changed.
My unit is the 2 knob version AN21-U. When i installed the RED MOD firmware my volume knobs were non functional. After trying several models from the "Model choose" screen in the extra settings menu it corrected my problem.

The seller gave me the original MCU, but when I try to put it through a USB not done properly.
If I add to the list that is in the internal memory, it does not appear to select .

I have ordered 1 year and half ago from China and got multimedia screen for Honda accord 2004 with android version 6.1.1, model: Allwinner T3, K2001-N
I don't get many of the options like in other android devices and multimedia screens, maybe this is fake android's version?
Can i upgrade the firmware to new version of android to get open options like in others screens or m,aybe to put the original stock of android with another version?
for example, in new android version when you open one the car's doors it shows on the screen which door have you opened.

a week ago I bought the following MK809IV TV stick and I bricked it without making a backup.
I need your help to find the right firmware for it.
External packaging is labeled MK809IV with a red slider.
Board version: H122V1.4 0422 without a NAND chip.
Label on the back: RK29_809_V1.0 221 # - HXB_19060601
Processor: RK3229
Board: rk30board
GPU: Mali 400 MP
RAM: 2Gb
ROM: 8Gb
WiFi: RTL8723bs
Original firmware was based on:
Version: Android 7.1.2
Build: hx322x_box-userdebug...
kernel version: 3.10.104
I tried to flash dozens of firmware, and the only one that actually works is:
rk3229_7.1_box_MX4VB_SSV6051p_SpecTek_flash-update_20171209
but it shows only 1Gb of RAM and does not have the WiFi.
Any help is appreciated!

Ok guys, finally I found a working solution for this TV Stick.
Let me share my solution:
Basically, as mentioned in the first post, I found a working firmware with no wifi and just 1Gb of ram: rk3229_7.1_box_MX4VB_SSV6051p_SpecTek_flash-update_20171209
So I continued to search for a different firmware and I found this one:
G809_3229_L_2G_8723_20180517_1451_2018070601
Unfortunately also this last one is not able to boot, but what I though is why don't try to flash this last firmware anyway and using the bootloader from the previous one?!!
So I have extracted the Loader, uboot and trust images from the first one (rk3229_7.1_box_MX4VB_SSV6051p_SpecTek_flash-update_20171209) and flashed over the already flashed second one (G809_3229_L_2G_8723_20180517_1451_2018070601) using RK_Android_Tool v.2.3.9.
Steps are:
1. Flash G809_3229_L_2G_8723_20180517_1451_2018070601 image using BatchTool and selecting "Restore".
2. Make a short with a paper clip to the pins 6-7 and plut the USB in the OTG port
3. Load the Working images: Loader, uboot, trust and parameter files to RK_Android_Tool v.2.3.9
4. Start the flashing
First boot required about 10 minutes.
The archive includes all the needed software for flashing, the firmware and the extracted working images for the bootloader.
Hope it can help others!

wow and cheers Found my "piece of crap^^" in a cupboard and just recognized, that google-login not been working anymore - so i decided to look for some "updates" .... theres really not only one ROM for it after 1 day of searching :/ ... tried out ARMBIAN - only 1GB ram recognized and only 1,2Ghz and nice to see Linux on it but Wifi too unstable and even with ethernet hard to use .... tried out Librelec - most plugins not working here in germany ... last but not least i tried out your courious method - and it works ... but had an 7.1 preinstalled and now dowgraded ... but working
Isn't it possible to match that two parts together in one ROM ? and maybe with a newer Kernel ?
If somebody finds a other working ROM for a RK3229 MK809IV 2+8 pls post here :/ - i'll have a look in some years again i guess

K - n good morning^^ ... spent my night by seeing Programs not really loading and crashing ... rejoiced too early :/ Seeker (Soulssek client for Android) seems to be the only usefully working App :/ .. and the laggiest lags i've ever seen on a computing device the whole night long .... reflashing ARMBIAN now as the final state of my poor stick ... you can nicely watch the lags in system monitor graphs there and afterall it's not too bad .... but only for museum purposes^^ anyways regards to everyone stomping over here
... maybe last comment - Telegram working nice at ARMBIAN ... at least you can read your papers with it ... anyways armbian seems to be the only usefull thing you can do with that poor device ...
Hello, I've the Android TV Box "Renkforce 4K XBMC Android TV Box Android Mini PC (A764) 4 x 1.8 GHz 2 GB Android™ 4.4" I'm looking for a firmeware upgrade and custom rom for this device. It works with a Rockchip RK3288. I found an article (android-nougat-7-1-2-beta-release-for-ugoos-ut3-ut3s-um3) about devices that works also with the same chip. Can I use this firmeware also for my device? Where can I find furthermore firmeware and custom roms that fits in my case? Thanks in advance.
Hello guys, I have just acquired a new X96 Pro X4 (S905X4) tv box which is great but the standard android tv system (android 11) is not ideal. I was searching foe some ROM options but it seems there's nothing out yet, am I missing something or still there's no options available?
PS: When I first got the tv box it came with a Chinese version (I'm in China) and the system was a bit different (still Android 11) then, to get rid of chinese apps installed on it I did a factory reset and the system came back as the standard factory version. So, actually there's a chinese ROM available, but I could also not find that one on the web.
This is where I get custom ROMs they don't have one for it yet but the fact they listed your box means they will be releasing a custom ROM for it soon I would assume.
