Hi.
My head unit is soft bricked so I cannot access the menu to switch on USB Debugging. Is there a way round this?
I need to reinstall android on it but don't know how to get into the recovery menu (if it has one)

USB DAC on AC8227

Hi, I was searching the net and did not find anything, so maybe android gurus here can help.
I have Tesla style head unit based on autochips AC8227 processor cortex a53 quad core processor. I have android 4.4.4 installed on head unit, despite the fact it says it's android 6.0. I've rooted it or it was rooted initially, do not know, however I have access to the system files.
So what I need^
1) I need the best way to make backup of the firmware in case I brick something manipulating with system files.
2) I need to be able to redirect whole sounds to external USB sound card in particular to USB DAC based on PCM2704 with SPDIF output.
from searching the net I found that if I enter commands in terminal emulator:
su
ls /dev/snd
I'll get all sound devices recognized and used by android system and there should be USB sound system listed as well (if it's recognized of cause) However external sound card is not there. So I need to add modules (drivers) for it into the system.
Where to get them and how to prepare to be usable with AC8227 processor I have no clue.
Please help me to find solution to my challenging questions.
thanks

Help with updating joying Intel SC9853i JY-VO131N4 to 8.1

Hi there,
I have seen that there is a update for my car stereo on this link:joyingauto.eu/blog/post/joying-intel-airmont-sc9853i-car-stereo-latest-update
I have downloaded the file "9853i 1024X600 or 800X480 Google 2019.5.15.zip" using the first link on that page to my mac.
I have upzipped the file.
I have copied all(5 files, 1 folder) the files to usb drive(fat32).
I connected the usb drive to each of the usb ports of joying JY-VO131N4.
But joying doesn't start anything. It's not picking the update automatically.
Do you have any idea what I am doing wrong?
Link to my system:aliexpress.com/item/32870185927.html
Model Name: JY-VO131N4
CPU: Intel SC9853i Octa Core 1.8GHZ
Thanks in advance,
Hikmet
If you have an sd-card remove it first and do it safely (Settings, remove). Do not just drag it out.
If it still does not work, try with an sd-card

Not connecting Android Auto to head unit.

Hi,
I installed headunit reloaded for Android Auto application on my car HU Android 4.4 so that I will have Android Auto. When I am connecting the phone (Android 10) to the head unit, it appears as the image attached and nothing happens. I am using the Samsung original cable to connect. Any help is appreciated.
Not Android Auto. Try a thread discussing headunit reloaded.

ULLGO 1321 hu ROOT OK (SC9853i)

Hi everybody.
I have an Ullgo hu with SC9853i processor,4 gbRAM and I searched for 9 months how to root, at the end I DO IT.
Here is my hu:
MCU VERSION Ts9.4.3-24-84-94C681-191021
SYSTEM VERSION V11.1.1_20200304.092444_AKW2-X
ANDROID 9
It's very simple:
Zip decompression.
Put the all the files on the usb stick(FAT 32 format), 3 files, NOT INSIDE of a folder.
Plug the usb stick to the radio.
Settings->car settings-> update firmware (don't touch other function), press ok on display and let the radio to do himself.
After his restart, let the stick usb connected, connect to wifi, install Magisk Manager, install Root Explore, in the Magisk Manager give permission to Root Explorer and it's done.
The root patch is taked from OWNICE C960 K6 head unit.
All the bests.

works with ullgo android 8.1
SC9853i processor,4 gbRAM ?
is the android 9 in the head unit directly from sell or did you update
The hu show me Android 9, checked with Aida 64 tel me Android 8.1.
I receveid the hu with this fake Android 9.0, I don't update.
I think you can try.
Search Ownice C960 K6 root, you"ll find on Icar Vietnam forum (need google translate); you find the root for various firmware.
How I said talking about SC9853i with 4gb Ram, many Ullgo=Teyes=Ownice=Allwinner=Topway, that use the same mainboard (with very little differences).
