Hisense 55RG Setup Wizard Loop - Android TV General

I have a Hisense 55RG. My TV was working completely fine, until I decided to choose the “setup wizard” option in the settings under “support.”
My TV was already setup perfectly, but curiosity got the better of me.
It asked me to restart my TV to start the setup wizard process. Since then, I’ve been stuck in a setup wizard loop. I cannot get past the “Improve your TV” section, as when I click yes/no I am met with a blank grey screen and can’t do anything.
I have tried unplugging the TV for various periods of time, anywhere from 10 mins to an entire day, but that has not fixed anything.
I have looked in every forum, subreddit, used 50+ different worded combinations in Google to try and find a solution to this but I can’t find anything.
I do not know any remote button combinations to open up service/recovery menu’s but if anyone knows of any for this Remote then that’d be very helpful.
I am in the midst of trying to contact Hisense for support but it’s hard to get ahold of them, and I’ve been recommended other support websites but they cost $40-$50 which I am not paying.
If anyone has anything that’d be really helpful. Thank you!

CANCELED- see second post
So, I am a regular at the kaiser forums, but i recently got my hands on an 8125. I am not a complete noob, but i don't have much direct experience with this phone yet. the problem is, the screen has a crack and displays nothing. the device turns on, and i can get it to make noises, such as the voice command and shutdown, but i cannot get it to connect to my pc via activesync. i have v 4.5. i believe this to be because the previous owner had a pin # set. I would like to do a hard reset, connect it via active sync and load soti pocket explorer so i can see how well it still runs, and whether purchasing a new screen is worth it. i have read all the posts/wikis i can find on hard resetting this device, however, they all assume you can see what is on the screen. can someone give me a detailed report on EXACTLY what happens? how long it takes, what lights flash when, etc?
thanks!
cancel
cancel that, just got soti installed. everything looks good, aside from the screen. anybody know a good place to get one, or is somebody selling one?
i have a spare wizard screen that i know works if your interested

Android 2.2, touchscreen refuses to work.

I followed the network message that came up about 2.2 being available and let it update itself.
It rebooted and now the touchscreen refuses to work.
HTC Sync appears to offer no help at all.
I am guessing that I need to reinstall the os. However I am at a loss to how to do this.
Current state of play is that I cannot do anything with the phone. I cannot get past the lock screen as wiping down wont do anything to unlock it. I tried the trick of calling yourself and that doesnt do anything either.
T-mobile support were really helpful... They kept trying to get me to use HTC sync which fails to give me the options i need and keeps saying no storage device is available. I tried swapping the Micro SD card over just in case and no joy there either.
I was particularly impressed by t-mobile or htc support trying to call me back on my mobile. Well done, I told you I couldnt use the phone becuase of the touchscreen.
Ive been trawling the web for a download of 2.2, but I keep falling foul of dubious download sites which claim they are hosting it, but seem to link to media streamer downloads, and divx codecs, anything but the operating system I want.
Can anyone help me with step by step instructions and links to find the OS.
(Please dont ask if I have tried removing the battery, its been in and out so many times now I havent bothered putting the back, back on.)
If your phone is still under warranty period, better return it for service. I see that you didnt do any mistake other than you tried to update. So i dont think it will be a problem. Dont try anything fancy and damage your phone unless you are sure about what you are going to do.
in nothing helps, you can try a hard reset.
search the web for "wildfire and hard reset"

A200 bootloader issue

I realize that this is the A500 section, but every web search for the A200, brings me to the xda A500 section of the forums.
I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
Friend called today, her sister managed to get her locked out of her tablet by messing up the password 5 times, because wifi was turned off, there was no way, but a factory reset, to get the unit up and running again. I walked her through the factory reset, but we ran into an error: unrecoverable bootloader error 0x19000008
The unit hasn't been rooted, there has been no custom anything done to it. The only upgrades have been the official ones that go on if you have automatic updates on. A couple of games, a browser and a book reader was about the only software even added to the unit, so nothing that could have broken the bootloader this way.
I'm assuming, at this point, (and you know what they say about assuming) that the best bet to get the unit up and running would be to find how to instructions and a stock rom. If someone knows where I could find those things for the Iconia a200 (all the links I found have been dead), or has another suggestion, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks

[Interesting] Trying to use a S5 with a broken screen

A friend of mine bought an S5 off eBay and, 2 days later, dropped it from the height of less than 2 feet, in its lifeproof case. The screen stopped turning on. The capactive buttons still work and you can hear audio feedback (even somehow managed to enable talkback that won't shut up) but you can't see anything. No dice getting into recovery or fastboot. Of course, the device is unrooted and untampered with, to the best of my knowledge. She took it to the Samsung Store and they hooked it up to a computer and did something which made the screen work again, so she factory reset it, but then apparently touching the corners of the screen made it go yellow. She restarted the phone and the blank screen persisted.
I have zero experience with Samsungs so I decided to play with this thing till she manages to return it. Updated to Lollipop (via Kies3), nothing. I even tried to take screenshots to view on the computer and navigate that way but it wouldn't take screenshots. My plan was to enable debugging and take it from there, but obviously I'm unable to do that. I looked into screenmirroring but the best bet seems to be Samsung's own SideSync utility, but that requires the Android app to be installed phone-side, which is obviously impossible at the moment.
Any suggestions welcome. Best case scenario I obviously hope to be able to fix the phone myself, but if not, then at least familiarize myself with this scenario if all else fails (tinkerholic. Also I refuse to be out-teched by a Samsung Store employee). I've heard of Z3X and NsPro but I obviously don't plan to invest in their hardware. However I am confident that there has to be an adb solution of sorts, so my first challenge is to enable USB debugging.
If she's registered her Google (playstore) account details on the device, then she can visit playstore through a pc and when she installs an app via pc it will get installed to the device.......
At least, that certainly used to be the case, as in the past, I've done just that...

Unable to remove MiAccount, any help?

Hi,
first of all, to prevent any accusations, I found this phone in a bar I worked in four or five months ago, waited for the owner to try and find it via his Google/Mi account and nothing happened. Now I lost my phone and was wondering if I could use this one instead.
Its protected via Mi Account lock, so I have googled my options and found MiAccountUnlock Tool. That did not work, I did everything correctly, instructions are pretty easy on that one, but after rebooting for solid five minutes as it shouldve, MiAccount lock is still there.
Then I tried to go a bit more deep and I wanted to try MRT or Octoplus FRP, but these programs cost way too much money and free or cracked versions did not work. XiaomiFlashTool for some reason cant install drivers on my PC (though I have drivers installed anyway, so that shouldnt be a problem, but even when I dismiss error message, it doesnt find the device).
I am able to get the device into EDL mode.
I am willing to pay something around 20 $, if someone knows about something I couldnt find on Google. The phone is running Android 7.0.
Thanks in advance, please be respectful, this is only for my personal use, so if someone knows how to do it and would like to contact me via email its [email protected]/whatsapp: +420 721 255 720
Have a nice day guys
